Speedy deletion nomination of Hud-InfoTech Nig. Ltd.
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hud-InfoTech Nig. Ltd., requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. 331dot (talk) 08:56, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
The article Hud Adam Ali has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. WWGB (talk) 11:53, 29 August 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Hud Adam Ali. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 12:32, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
Hello, Hudlag. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Visit Kano, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

[edit]You created this article & a plethora of newly registered single purpose accounts (more than a dozen) began to edit the article ferociously, you wouldn’t happen to know anything about that yeah? Please read WP:SOCK & WP:MEAT. If you are using multiple accounts to edit an article, it is wrong & would get you permanently blocked from editing here any further. Also, you aren’t allowed to go off-wiki and coordinate with your friends to edit a particular article in a counter-productive manner. Thank you for complying in advance. Celestina007 (talk) 00:50, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
```@Celestina007 Hello, I am Hud by name, Nigerian and I did not have any other account on Wiki beside this Hudlag, regarding this I never know any person among the contributor to this article.
I created this article due to the fact that, in My State (Kano State) we are almost 20 Million but I don't think we have up-to 10 Wikipedia-contributors that are active as I am now and who will pay for an article of a dead person? but I know the Man contributed a lot during his life time and he even wrote a book about his life called "The Making of a Nigerian Engineer" Published by (Safari Books Ltd) ISBN: Cased 978-978-57696-0-9 Paperback 978-978-57696-1-6.
I have no interest of doing anything that will make my account to be blocked from editing an article on Wiki, because I can say I am the only Contributor from Kano State Nigeria that will dedicated his time on Wikipedia for others to get general information about Kano State because the information on Wikipedia is very poor and I wanted to improve it and I will appreciated if you will be guiding me on writing and editing article with Pictures on wiki
best regards, I really appreciate your effort Celestina007
- @Hudlag, Careful now, you left this message on my talk page & I’m not sure why because this was the message I left on your talkpage & no where in it did I say you were getting paid for the creation of the article & neither did I insinuate that in any which way so I’m surprised you are bringing that up. What I asked you was why at least 12 newly registered accounts had their first edits straight to that article & told you to read both WP:SOCK & WP:MEAT, so like I said I’m not sure why you brought up the issue of paid editing when I clearly never referenced that, or is there something subtle I’m missing here? Celestina007 (talk) 10:50, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
::@Celestina007 I understand you thanks but I didn't know any of the contributor of the article and I have only one account that is Hudlag
- @Celestina007: I find it extremely unlikely that this many new accounts would focus on an individual article at the same time. It's not impossible if the person is in news or something, but usually this is accompanied by equal amounts of bad editing and vandalism, but all edits here are passably constructive. I see new accounts already blocked in article's history, so do you think this is the same sockfarm and that Hudlag is caught in the middle coincidentally? Looking at some articles from these blocked accounts, it's all new accounts all over. I don't think there's any hope here without a CU blanket check. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 11:30, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Hellknowz, I find it extremely bizarre & Like you rightfully said a CU is definitely required at this juncture. I was going to open an SPI but the sheer number of accounts involved deterred me. Invariably this is a sock farm & I believe the accounts are being nurtured to cause great harm to the encyclopedia in future, it isn’t uncommon for them to start off with constructive editing, in fact, that it is their modus operandi. I have for now decided to gently warn Hudlag & let them know I’m keeping a close eye on them, to say this is baffling and annoying would be an understatement. Celestina007 (talk) 14:49, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- I don't actually think Hudlag is part of the sockfarm. I think it's a coincidence that socks jumped on this article. After all, some accounts are editing other articles and those articles also have other new accounts editing. There's dozens of them just looking around. And their pattern just doesn't match Hudlag's editing. I mean, if true, Hudlag could have done all these edits on their main account and no one would have an issue. Why the endless socks? This doesn't make sense to me. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 15:33, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hellknowz, Celestina007 and Hudlag, I believe this is because the article had the copyedit tag which tends to draw new users. I have noticed this before on other articles and it was recently brought up at AN. S0091 (talk) 18:31, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- I've never seen this before and I didn't know the copyedit tagged pages are indirectly shown to new users as a starting point. That seems like a weird decision, given new users are least likely to know how to copyedit to the countless Wikipedia guidelines. But I guess it very likely explains the new accounts, although I am still curious how so many random new editors have interest this particular person when many popular pages don't get any editors. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 19:22, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- The WP:Task Center has an option to go to a random page. Out of curiosity, I clicked that twice in the Copy Editing section which took me to Red handprint. Note the number of new editors over the past couple days. So I guess random new editors going to randomly selected articles? There are only about 130 articles currently in CAT:COPYEDIT so not a big selection to choose from. I was actually surprised to see so little there. I was expecting to see hundreds. Recent edit reversion
[edit]In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 02:21, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
Overlinking and overcapitalising
[edit]Hi, thanks for your edits. Please note that we have rules about linking: not only dates, years, etc, but common terms. Here's an example of my fix. Tony (talk) 09:30, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Category:Executive branch of the government of Kano State requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
The article Kwalli Primary School, Kano has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable primary school.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 14:24, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add defamatory content to Wikipedia, as you did at Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura, you may be blocked from editing. Fram (talk) 10:55, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Stanley Uzochukwu
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Stanley Uzochukwu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stanley Uzochukwu. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
