Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Papermaking do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 14:21, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hmacbain, and thank you for your feedback. The interface does take a bit of getting used to - you can get a better handle on it by taking the tutorial, and the cheatsheet has a handy list of the most common markup terms used. If you need help with anything specific, you can always ask at the helpdesk (or at my userpage, for that matter).

Hi Hmacbain, and thank you for your feedback (hang on, didn't I do that bit already?). Navigating Wikipedia is easy in article mainspace, but can become a bit harder once you get into the inner gubbins. There are two princple areas outside article mainspace that you may need to access, these are project mainspace (where users discuss Wikipedia's policies and projects) and userspace (where editors communicate directly). There are others, but these are the biggies. To find a specific user, type "User:Nameofuser" into the Search bar (eg.User:Yunshui). For projects, search for "WP:Projectyouwanttofind" (eg. WP:Notability).

I hope this helps a bit; if you need any more assistance feel free to leave me a message.

(Plus, the Welcome template that Theroadislong gave you, above, should help a bit). Yunshui  15:06, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
