SeaTac
Hey just wondering...you have Horizon Air at SeaTac going SEA-STS-LAX. Same plane and flight number. But that American also goes SEA-DFW-IAD. So why does it not count? ZHoover123 13:33, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- ZHoover, see WP:AIRPORTS. The reason LAX is listed since STS is not a hub or focus city for Horizon Air. IAD for American is not listed because the flight makes a stop at an AA hub (which is DFW) and DFW happens to be AA's largest hub. So no thru-hub direct flights are to be listed. Snoozlepet (talk) 00:47, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
- I see...thanks! ZHoover123 01:52, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks Snoozlepet. The reasoning of Wikiproject criteria is whether the airline is really flying direct or just playing with flight numbers. STS is so small, what comes in must go out and it either continues or returns. But when an AA flight flies into DFW, you can't guarantee what they'll do to the plane. The fact that there's no return IAD-DFW-SEA makes the case stronger. HkCaGu (talk) 01:56, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Key Lime Air Edit
Denver International Airport is an Airport you dork. The mistake was in the Identifier. You coulda just corrected it if you had a brain!! What a loser!! Get a life dude!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.134.140.42 (talk) 22:30, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
An IP is getting very confused is which carrier is Shuttle America flying for when it begins service to Newark. They keep listing the flight as Continental Express where as Shuttle America does not fly for Continental Express. Their website, schedules, booking engines for BUF-EWR for March 6 reflect as OPERATED BY SHUTTLE AMERICA DBA AS UNITED EXPRESS. However, the flight will operate from CO gates instead. Thanks! WP:AIRPORT and User:Felipealvarez
I did look yesterday and was considering a course of action. I'll look again and see. I will not be watching that user, so if I act and problematic behavior returns, leave me another note. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:11, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well, in reviewing this it is edit waring if not an outright violation of WP:3RR so in my opinion the block is justified. Talking about problems is usually the way to go. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:47, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
CO Mike
Hi! I referred him to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airlines - While I think that CO Mike should still be described as an airline until its corporate structure changes, I think it would be helpful to have a talk page thread where it will be resolved by everyone WhisperToMe (talk) 17:56, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm not even insisting it as an airline, just a CO subsidiary company that operated an airline. HkCaGu (talk) 17:58, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- You are welcome. IMO "a CO subsidiary company that operated an airline" would be accurate. WhisperToMe (talk) 18:57, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
Inserting pictures
Hey quick question. Can you please tell me how to insert pictures onto an article? I have a picture that I think would be neat to add to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport's article and I can't figure out how to do it. ZHoover123 02:09, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- Ok it helped a little bit. I got the picture uploaded to Wikipedia. Here's a link to it: [1]. It's entirely my own work. The only problem is, I can't figure out how to get it to show up in the article. If you'll look at my User page, under "I've Lived In:", the picture isn't there, just the text in red and the caption. ZHoover123 19:37, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- Try removing the URL part so that it's just "File:Planes_preparing_for_departure_at_PHX.JPG". HkCaGu (talk) 20:24, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yay it worked! Thank you so much! ZHoover123 21:17, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

why undid my edit?
i just want to enhance the article...
if there is really bad grammar... that means you have to undo it?? rather than revise it??
if my edit not fit the context, you can revise it, instead of deleting it...

i have to admit i am still learning english
i treat editing wikipedia as a way of learning english... and when i am wrong in grammar or sth, i hope someone can fix me, then i can learn from it...Andyso (talk) 09:49, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- The first section of an article is for the most basic information about the subject. The list of Chinese unrests is not appropriate in this section.
- You should also watch your grammar and spelling so you don't have a bunch of capital letters for non-proper names.
- Beside grammar, you should also be observant of style and understand what an encylopedia article should look like. All the formats and templates have a reason and are based on consensus formed by previous editors.
- I and many editors who watch pages are busy and real life, so it is not a good idea to perform something then forces others to rescue your work. Sorry to say I found it more beneficial to the overall article and to my limitation to simply revert what you did. HkCaGu (talk) 10:11, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
The same content is written on Chinese Wikipedia:
"…從而避過太平天國、民國軍閥、國共內戰、反右運動、大躍進和文化大革命等亂局…較為優越的發展機會。"zh:香港
This is important, because it shows the main reason why Hong Kong is now more developed than other places in mainland China.
Where are the problems with capital letters? I used them for proper names, like Cultural Revolution and Taiping Rebellion
In my opinion, adding more useful and important content is actually beneficial to the article

Continental IAD-AMS, IAD-CDG
The flights now appear to be bookable on CO and UA's website. It appears the flights are now operated by Continental as well as United. Snoozlepet (talk) 17:17, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
edit warring of Article Key Lime Air
HkCaGu,
You seem persistant to weed through Articles on aviation deleting all factual negative content. I question that maybe you are paid by these airlines to keep them clean looking in the public eye. If so, think about the 50+ people that died on Colgan Air flight 3407.
My contributions to Airline Articles are not any different than those in other wikipedia articles. I merely added content to other content in Key Lime Air that existed as far back as 2007. Is it fair that all content only be positive content. The content I added is true, verifiable and is the publics right to know. Especially since the Article company provides services to the public that effect life.
If you'll look at Article Gulfstream_International_Airlines, there is very similiar content. You also make countless efforts to clean out all factual data that is negative. This is not in the best interetst of the public to hide factual saftey related content from the public.
The public comes to Wikipedia to learn about something. To hide all the facts is not right. Although my contributions to Key Lime Air may be negative, they are factual and verifiable. But if you look deeper, not all my contributions are negative.
If you have a better idea in which the same information can be better presented that would include the information the public is entitled to know, I am open to dicussion.

Mariupol Airport / Ilyich-Avia
Why did you delete most of the information about the Mariupol airport? I know about it and I took really long time looking and translating. Please do not edit again, as it's on of those pages that are usually empty. I expanded, there is nothing to delete.
Regards Gleb
- You need to understand the basic rules of Wikipedia. You do not own the articles, and thus cannot require someone to discuss with you before changing stuff. Next, you must write in neutral language without peacock terms. Materials must also be notable, thus airports having accessible and VIP facilities is not out of the ordinary. Airport and airline articles are also governed by Wikiprojects such as WP:AIRPORT and WP:AIRLINE, and styles (such as date format) are governed by a Manual of Style. You should also sign when you edit talk pages. HkCaGu (talk) 05:37, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry about this misunderstanding, I am new to contribution here at wiki. I just wanted to expand the article since it was almost empty. Mariupol is on of the cities I admire, I've been/lived there. I thought it would be a little honor if I add some info about it. Thanks for the help, and the edits. It's just that you removed to much. I worked on researching the airport all night, which is not an easy job; and seeing it go like this got me really disappointed.
Once again sorry for misunderstanding, and thanks for your help on editing :)

fat
if you have further data you are welcomed to add it.please do not continue to edit war...the info is properly cited. --emerson7 21:42, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
- No it is not. It just says the route is approved, not that Aeromexico has announced to start it on that date. We have standards at WP:AIRPORT on what's needed for a new route to be listed, and the airline not adding flights to its schedules and booking system is enough to prevent GDL-FAT from being listed. And on top of that, having Airmario3's own blog, given his edit history, as a source is absolutely disgusting, and restoring that part amounts to vandalism. HkCaGu (talk) 21:54, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
- i could perhaps support your action if would cite the exact wp:airport standard for listing the destination, however, calling it vandalism is at best an hysterical overstatement, particularly since it is backed by the fresno bee article. --emerson7 22:14, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Southwest Airlines @ BWI
Can you watch this page for a while? Someone continues to add "Southwest Airlines" to the hub parameter for the infobox as they DO NOT use a hub-and-spoke system. Thanks! Snoozlepet (talk) 23:03, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Airlines of Mexico
Hello, I'm Julian Cervantes. I edit alot of airline pages too. I wanted to see if you know any airlines of Mexico. If you know Volaris, Aeromexico, or Interjet, those are examples of the airlines of Mexico. I flown Volaris to Mexico from Tijuana to Morelia. I just wanted to see if you know about the airlines of Mexico. (7:55AM USA time User talk:Airmario3) By the way, I kinda cause vandalism a little beacause I love commercial aviation very much. —Preceding undated comment added 15:56, 12 March 2011 (UTC).
Iberia destinations
You are engaged in this article much longer than me. Perhaps it needs protection. I can request protection. The article on es-wiki was also vandalised. I used this site for verification. Info about 44 countries from the lead is wrong (according to the lead on es-wiki 46 countries, but 49 are mentioned in the article. What do you want to do with this article? It still has some errors (according to this site). Leszek Jańczuk (talk) 19:08, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry it's beyond my personal time resources to research on contents in this article, but the site you quoted should be pretty good and accurate. Number of countries isn't an easy answer, since you have a lot of dependencies close to and/or far away from their sovereign countries. HkCaGu (talk) 19:37, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
President Hu
Thanks for your response. I didn't want to further the discussion on the article's talk page, so I figured I'd ask you here. Could you explain to me how the Chinese to English translation results in numbers becoming a part of the English translation? Thanks again. Joefromrandb (talk) 16:46, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Cantonese has too many tones for diacritic marks to be conveniently understood, so tone numbers are used instead. See the jyutping article for details. HkCaGu (talk) 17:10, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks!! Joefromrandb (talk) 19:13, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Tijuana to RJAA
Nowhere in WP:AIRPORTS does it say that the standard is outbound only. Unless you prove me wrong, Tijuana should be listed, with a note mentioning one way service. Thenoflyzone (talk) 17:16, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- There have been countless cases enforced that way. By the very definition of "destination", it is where you can go, not where you can come from. HkCaGu (talk) 17:33, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Airport destinations
I think it could be a fresh new idea for Wikipedia articles on airports to have the flags included in the destination lists. Where do I go about putting this to the wider Wikipedia community??
This was the article that gave me the idea: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heydar_Aliyev_International_Airport —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rafboy15 (talk • contribs) 18:53, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- Please read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (icons)#Flags first. You need to bring up your ideas to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airports, but I can tell you it had been discussed before and people will not agree to flags. HkCaGu (talk) 19:47, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Vandalism on the MAX HAVOC: CURSE OF THE DRAGON page
HkCaGu,
I see in the MAX HAVOC: CURSE OF THE DRAGON edit history that you've helped with vandalism on that page before. I've recently reverted some vandalism on that page with links to online newspaper articles that cite some of the information on that page the vandal attempted to edit. I'm not as good an editor of Wikipedia that I would like to be (but I'm learning). I'm having trouble formating some of the links in that article and was wondering if you could help. I'm also having trouble citing sources that have link rot or are dead links. Any help you could throw my way would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Sprinkler21 (talk) 22:44, 25 May 2011 (UTC)sprinkler21
HKCaGu and Sprinkler21, nice to meet you here. I would like to point out that my editing is not vandalism but actually removing biased information that is defaming the producer and correcting the article to represent facts instead of fiction. Many of the referenced articles are biased and part of a propaganda spree against the producers. Especially the link to the disgruntled lighting technician is biased and to a great deal exaggerated and untrue. In the Wikipedia entry it is stated that "John Laing" as a persona defaulted on the loan. This is in fact wrong. It was the Guam Motion Pictures Company that defaulted. The person including the defamatory information (Sprinkler21) is very likely the disgruntled crew member that tried to sue the American distribution company that is owned by the producer himself. He claims in his article that he wasn't paid even though he was. He hoped to be able to fall into the Californian labor law regulations getting penalty payment for late payment (which was agreed by the crew in Guam). However, the case was dismissed by Californian law. This wikipedia entry has become part of a smear campaign by this disgruntled crew member, posting in forums, Q&A website defamatory questions and answering them by himself to raise awareness to a case that he has no grounds for. So in order to follow the Wikipedia guidelines I ask that the article not be biased without wrong and misleading information that hurts third parties that have nothing to do with the alleged dispute. Discussing the dispute is part of this, however then the research of Sprinkler should reflect both sides of the coin. Kind regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bababa333 (talk • contribs) 00:31, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- It seems like Bababa333 is well-versed in insider's information and pretend to be ignorant of publicly-available, well-known information regarding the movie and the producer. Your edits reveal your bias in trying to whitewash negative information about Laing that is well known across Guam and the whole Micronesian region and in specific circles in California. You don't have sources to back you up and I (or any current or former Guam resident) can't see any bias in coverage to the degree of your accusation. HkCaGu (talk) 03:50, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
Si Yu' os Ma' ase, HkCaGu. Sprinkler21 (talk) 04:50, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Sprinkler21
I don't dispute that I have insider information as I requested them from the production company directly to hear their side of the story. A story that is not represented in this article which therefore makes the article biased in favor of the other side. There is obviously a personal propaganda campaign going on against this movie and the producer by a certain light technician and the people of Guam. The information stated by the Guam based press are very distinctively part of this propaganda. The propaganda spreaders are abusing reference websites such as wikipedia to support their cause in a morally doubtful manner. T — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bababa333 (talk • contribs) 23:36, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
Bababa333, You personally "requesting" info from the production company and then posting it on the Max Havoc page is considered original research (OR) and is not allowed on Wikipedia. Please see: WP:NOR|WP:ORIGINAL. You must have a reliable published source for all info you post so that information can be verified. Please cite your source(s) for this new post you made on 5/31/11. You seem keen to disassociate John Laing from Guam Motion Pictures Company when several of the sources cited on the page now refer to Guam Motion Pictures Company as "John Laing's company." If you have information that is published in a reliable source stating that Guam Motion Pictures Company is not John Laing's company then please post it and cite your source. Please make these changes in the next 48 hours or you edits will be reverted.Sprinkler21 (talk) 17:42, 1 June 2011 (UTC)Sprinkler21
Delta European flight cuts
Can you take a look at these? Delta announced that they will end some routes to Europe in September (from Atlanta and JFK). I was wondering if they are ending completely or are they now seasonal flights. Snoozlepet (talk) 18:24, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
United and Continental using trading name United
In the merger between Continental and United all planes are painted United and both carriers will use trading name United. Operationwise they still operate under different AOC (Air Operators Certifiacates). [1]
- The two airlines still have two websites and two systems and two brandings. Until they are completely merged, they will be listed by the operator, not corporate ownership. HkCaGu (talk) 20:26, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
Delta NGO-NRT
Do this route get listed in the destination list? I noticed a user added it back to the list at Centrair Airport. I've added to the Narita page so we can resolve whether or not to list it. Snoozlepet (talk) 01:10, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
24.240.79.124 and edits to ATL Airport

Misuse of vandalism warnings
Your vandalism warnings at User talk:72.77.135.164 are unjustified imo. You may be right about his edits to Unincorporated territories of the United States and Insular area but these were clearly good faith edits on his part. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 14:02, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
I restored the version you reverted. Not sure what your issue with it was; it seems reasonable to me. Discuss on the article's talk page? Cheers! Mark Shaw (talk) 14:26, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- You have re-reverted the page, and in your summary you say "that's only because omdo unilaterally decided to make that template 'present and past'." I don't know what you mean here - can you explain, and tell me why you find it problematic? Thanks! Mark Shaw (talk) 15:30, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- The template had always been carrying current UN non-self governing territories (NSGT)--a list of 16. Omdo, who had been very disruptive in adding things against consensus (see Associated state), suddenly added all former NSGTs (dozens) to the template, and then added the template to all of the respective articles. For a territory no longer in existence such as the PCZ, adding it to a category is OK, but a template that no longer has/should not have the PCZ is not. HkCaGu (talk) 15:39, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Delta Atlanta to Tel Aviv
Can you please take a look at this? The route is suspended this winter and resumes next summer but the IP who made the change continues to insists that "Delta said..." it will be year-round.
