Sock
Just wanted to let you know that Peloluhabanya (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), the user you warned a few days ago, is a sock of Papamayani (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). Just wanted to let you know. Regards, GABgab 23:14, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
Hello, HighKing. Would you mind redacting the personal attack in the last few sentences of this comment of yours? I feel that kind of comment is completely unwarranted (as well as unsubstantiated, leaving me no avenue to defend myself, as you won't identify where the alleged 'POV pushing' is). Thanks in advance, Xenophrenic (talk) 17:14, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- I've clarified where your POV pushing in my response. -- HighKing++ 11:40, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
- Odd sentence structure, but I think I understand what you meant. I've responded, too. It is unfortunate that you have difficulty with the POV of reliable sources. If you should ever run across equally reliable sources expressing a different POV, please don't hesitate to bring them to my attention. Or, better yet, introduce the encyclopedic content they convey to our article yourself. As for your commenting on your fellow editor's behavior, please be advised that there are appropriate venues for that. Regards, Xenophrenic (talk) 21:22, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
Deletion
As reviewing administrator, I did not delete the article Hypernet. Though I do not think the article really satisfactory, it does not fit any of the speedy deletion categories, .You used A7 no indication of significance, but this is a concept, not a person, place, or organization, and G11, entirely promotional, but it doesn't seem to be promoting any thing in particular. . DGG ( talk ) 00:12, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi DGG, I've changed it for an A11 "obviously invented". Note that this article had previously been deleted https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Hypernet - obvious Vanispamcruftisement -- HighKing++ 11:39, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Hypernet
Hello HighKing. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Hypernet, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: there is no indication that the subject was invented by the article author or by someone they know. Please check the specification of WP:CSD#A11, and more generally, please study WP:CSD and take care in choosing speedy tags. There is good advice at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M.
The version deleted 9 years ago was about a different subject, a particular software system, though you couldn't know that. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 15:05, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi JohnCD, I should have explained in more details. The author of this article is User:Guylepage3 and even though the article is about the "Hypernet", it is also about "Blockstack" because one requires the other. The article states "The first implementation that provides DNS and Public key infrastructure for the hypernet i.e., for "traditional Internet" plus other networks like blockchain-powered content, is called Blockstack and was created by a community of open source software developers and engineers." If you check out the | Github page for Blockstack you'll find a user Guy Lepage with an id of "guylepage3" is a developer of Blockstack. I thought under those circumstances, a nomination under WP:CSD#A11 was appropriate. What dya think? -- HighKing++ 16:50, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
