Controversial moves

[edit]

Oğuzlar, I've again restored the Monégasque article to the original title. Your move is controversial. Therefore, you must follow the procedures at WP:RM to initiate a move discussion if you think the move should occur. (You should move articles without discussion only if you have good reason to believe the move will be uncontested. Mostly, that happens when an article's title doesn't meet the Manual of Style's guidelines and needs to be adjusted for that reason.) See my edit summaries for context. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hanifi Rohingya script, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Egyptian Hieroglyphs. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Standard Notice: Syrian Civil War

[edit]
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Syrian Civil War and ISIL. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

As a note, per these community-authorized general sanctions, there is a one-revert rule in place for all articles related to the Syrian Civil War and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, broadly construed. This means that an editor in this area may make no more than one revert per article per 24 hour period, unless an obvious exception applies. Please let me know if you have any questions about this. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 21:26, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't reverted anything, in fact the only thing I've done on Wikipedia in relation to the Syrian Civil War was say that the flag should be updated since Assad is gone.

Oh wait so, if I edit something relating to the war or that terrorist group, will I be banned or restricted? Hexonite (talk) 22:26, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As the above notes, this was a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date. This is not a topic ban or any other sort of sanction; it is merely a notification to make you aware of this. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 02:32, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
