Falun Gong - Epoch Times
i do not understand slander word my english are limited but, what recently i look in the section there delete and put back again the word(again and again, i think it's time to make them think what kind action they made ) so i made a statement to every one who change the word and make them realistic about that, if you look me as against falun gong is okay but the word for falungong floower it'self make them very funny i not use rash or rough word (i still use more polite word than dirty word to them, as i want to be) but i remind them what kind action they do would make the founder falungong as liar, stupid isn't it to remind your enemy make a false action and to remind, what make them loook so bad infront other writer. whatever i look this section as reader who need complete information inside the article.Daimond 08:15, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Daimond, I'm having a really hard time understanding you, try writing in small independent pieces, so I can understand where something starts and where it ends. Thank You. Also if it's easier for you write in Chinese, I might understand that. --HappyInGeneral 11:20, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Check your userpage links! (and protect your page!)
Hi, Happy in General, I came to check your page when I saw that links on Asdfg12345's seemed to have been changed. (He used your intro, the authorship of which he kindly attributed.) Most of them now come up with an error of some kind, and the link to the Falun Dafa Information Center had been changed to Samuel Luo's "The Untold History of Falun Gong," although the link title showed up the same. I changed this one back since I know the link and didn't think you meant it to lead to Samuel Luo's piece. Anyway, I don't know who did it, but I hope you're able to correct the links. Asdfg seems to have protected his user page at a higher level than you (I couldn't correct his Falun Dafa Info Center link), which I would suggest you do, too.
- Hi again, HappyInGeneral, I think I managed to correct all of your links again, but I really would suggest protecting your page if there is a way to do so...
- Thank You very much for fixing it, I was not checking my pages for a long time now, but hopefully I'm back now :). I'll ask for help, and maybe somebody can tell me how to protect this page. --HappyInGeneral 11:20, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi, can you please tell me how can I protect my user page HappyInGeneral so anonymous users can not edit it? Thank You --HappyInGeneral 11:20, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- The correct place to request semi-protection of your user page is WP:RFPP; however, unless there has been a lot of anonymous vandalism to your user page, such semi-protection is unlikely to be granted (normally, vandalism on user pages is just reverted, just like vandalism anywhere else, and there are certain legitimate reasons to edit other user's user pages (such as updating templates which have been moved to userspace)). See Wikipedia:Semi-protection policy for more details. Hope that helps; put {{helpme}} back up if you have any more questions. --ais523 11:26, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thank You, it's OK I think I can leave it like this for the moment then :) --HappyInGeneral 18:25, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Can I request blocking 71.246.58.125 from editing my page? Please take a look to the history of my page User:HappyInGeneral --HappyInGeneral 11:58, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hello HappyInGeneral. If you feel 71.246.58.125 is vandalizing your page, I would suggest posting a warning to his/her talk page first; see if that has the desired effect. Alternatively, you can try requesting for your user page to be semi-protected or, if the vandalism is persistent, post at Administrator intervention against vandalism. Please see here for help on how to revert vandalism. Hope this helps. —XhantarTalk 12:27, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

How to upload images
Hi, Where can I find some instruction on how to upload images? Thank You. --HappyInGeneral 18:25, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Samuel Luo has been taken to ArbCom
Hello, I have filed a request for evaluating the consistency of Samuel Luo's behaviour with the Wikipedia policies. Please have a look: Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration#Samuel Luo. We have gone through his edits from the past year, and if the ArbCom accepts this case, we can provide them with a list of his worst violations in reverse chronological order. If you want, you can give your comments on the aforementioned page. ---Olaf Stephanos 00:04, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Hello,
An Arbitration case involving you has been opened: Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Falun Gong. Please add any evidence you may wish the arbitrators to consider to the evidence sub-page, Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Falun Gong/Evidence. You may also contribute to the case on the workshop sub-page, Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Falun Gong/Workshop.
On behalf of the Arbitration Committee, Thatcher131 05:06, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thank You :) --HappyInGeneral 14:06, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Re: RfAr:
I'm not involved with the ArbComm, but as someone who also commented on the case, I can tell you that right now, you're supposed to submit "evidences" to support your point of view. In your case, provide the Diffs supporting your original comment. There's a special evidence page set-up for submitting the diffs. (Note that it -has- to be diffs.) - Penwhale | Blast the Penwhale 05:39, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia thumb image problem
{{helpme}}
Actually help wikipedia, a thumb image is not generated, flag of Nato, see here details: Template_talk:Country_data_NATO#Flag_of_Nato_does_not_render_correctly_2007-03-20 however I don't know where to address this issue, or if I should address it at all. Thx. --HappyInGeneral 12:22, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) (WP:VPT) is the right place to take this kind of problem, but as it happens this has come up there a few times before. There are a few known workarounds to correct problems like this involving appending ?action=purge to URLs all over the place and using thumb.php, but I can't actually remember what they are, so you might want to ask on VPT anyway so you know what to do if this happens in the future. (The images in question seem to be fine now.) --ais523 13:47, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Good information: Thank You :) --HappyInGeneral 13:49, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Suppression of Falun Gong debate
I'm not too active on the wiki anymore, and on top of that I know next to nothing about the issue. I'm not sure I would be much help. If I can help, though, I'd be glad to. Somebody Else's ProblemCatDog 16:22, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

The Awards/Recognition Image on Li Hongzhi
Hello, The awards and recognition image contains a non-neutral point of view. The composition of overlapping certificates is quite obviously tries to evoke in the viewer an impression that Li Hongzhi has substantial credibility. It tries promote Li Hongzhi's credibility rather than provide factual information. Thus, it should be removed. - 69.105.140.129 01:12, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
- Actually that is a compilation of actual awards which makes it factual truth. There is no reason to delete this image as long as it reflects the truth. --HappyInGeneral 02:02, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Warning
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Thank you.Carlosguitar 16:33, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Edit warring
Basically, here is the problem with your recent behavior, and your question to me. I am an administrator, but I have no more authority in content decisions than you. Assuming that your change is essential, well sourced, and relevant, your conduct in putting it in is still unacceptable. If another editor reverts the addition, the proper way to resolve the conflict is not to simply add it back in ad infinitum. It is to discuss the issue, seeking mediation (see WP:DR). To put it blunter, the edit war here and elsewhere will result in a block for both parties if it doesn't stop, regardless of who is right in the content issue; both of you are wrong in your way of resolving the dispute. Dmcdevit·t 21:18, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thank You for your response, this is the type of answer that I wanted more then a month ago[3]. Also another question, how can you hold back POV warriors in this case? Same thing posted here: [4] --HappyInGeneral 21:22, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
This case is now closed and the results have been published at the link above.
- Falun Gong and all closely related articles are placed on article probation. It is expected that the articles will be improved to conform with Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and that information contained in them will be supported by verifiable information from reliable sources. The articles may be reviewed on the motion of any arbitrator, or upon acceptance by the Arbitration Committee of a motion made by any user. Users whose editing is disruptive may be banned or their editing restricted as the result of a review.
- Mcconn (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is placed on standard revert parole for one year. He is limited to one revert per page per week, excepting obvious vandalism. Further, he is required to discuss any content reversions on the page's talk page.
- Samuel Luo (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is banned indefinitely from editing Falun Gong-related articles or their talk pages.
- Tomananda (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is banned indefinitely from editing Falun Gong-related articles or their talk pages.
- Violations of paroles and probations imposed on parties of this case shall be enforced by blocks for an appropriate period. Blocks and bans are to be logged at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Falun Gong#Log of blocks and bans.

Banned Books
Hi! (a bit late reply to your "hi" on my talk page :P) I have added Falun Dafa books to the "Book Burning" article, but have noticed there's no reference to them in the Banned Books article. I am currently very busy with school and thus am not able to improve the first (add pics of burned books maybe?) or add new info to the second, so I thought I'd bring these things to your attention, if you have the time. Emanuil Tolev 12:32, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Apologies
To whom it may concern. It seems that I'm in a kind of wiki-break, since I don't make much contribution lately, well at least not as much as I would like to anyway. I hope that I'll finish up the things that are keeping me this busy and get back to work, I hope in 2 day's, but I'm saying that for almost 3 weeks now ... so figure that out ... Well that's life, until then I can live on a hope :) --HappyInGeneral 21:13, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Official name
Frankly, I don't care. We should explain the status and origin of the various names; but we should also do so in English, intelligible to the ordinary speaker of English.
That is how Wikipedia has always done things, and I hope will continue to do things. Good day. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 14:54, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

- "although this language is not to be found anywhere in the Falun Gong teachings" also needs to be sourced. Otherwise, it has no place anywhere because it would be original research. Ohconfucius 09:33, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- OK, you are right, I'll try to find them, thanks for letting me know. --HappyInGeneral 09:59, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, the article was stable User:Asdfg12345 and I thought we had worked out a sensible compromise of positions until you came along until you started putting unacceptably non-neutral POV things into the article, and User:PCPP also took part in the tug of war. I don't know what you find unacceptable about leaving the Xinhua-bashing out of this article. Now an unbiased experienced wiki editor has openly said that he also finds it unacceptable, so I have removed it once again. And I don't expect to see it again. ;-) Thanks for your cooperation. Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing at Falun Gong. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. TigerShark (talk) 23:25, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

rfc on bobby
I have notified Bobby fletcher that I will open an RfC on his conduct if he continues. I don't know if this is canvassing, as it's not my intention. Someone else needs to write on his talk page, asking him not to do any more incivility, personal attacks, assumptions of bad faith, etc.. You may wish to do so. diffs:
- personal attacks, some assuming bad faith: [5], [6], [7], [8]
- attempt at "outing", sometimes with personal attacks mixed in: [9], [10], [11] -- Please note, these are only a sample. Attempted "outing" goes back months, and Fred Bauder oversighted it. But the user has continued recently.
- original research: [12] -- Please note, the user has not aggressively reinserted this after it was pointed out

"Outlawed" vs. "Persecuted" at The Epoch Times
Hi HappyInGeneral,
I left a message for you at the bottom of Talk:The Epoch Times#"Persecuted" vs. "outlawed"; I would love to hear your input if you get a chance.
Please don't think I changed the editing just because I'm anti-FLG or something; in fact, I think I'm generally on the same side as you have been in disputes with users such as Bobby fletcher and Zixingche. In this case I just honestly think the "outlawed" wording will be better for the article as a whole.
Anyway, if you have time, please respond at Talk:The Epoch Times#"Persecuted" vs. "outlawed". Thanks! —Politizer talk/contribs 14:32, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
