[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, Jamie Slater, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests, and consider using the Article Wizard. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Marasmusine (talk) 19:05, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Jamie Slater
[edit]Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Jamie Slater, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ArcAngel (talk) 21:47, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Hangover, can you please provide a reference for your information on Jamie Slater, because as far as anyone can tell, this character (and actor) never existed. Otherwise the article is just going to get deleted again. Marasmusine (talk) 22:31, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi there, I notice that Anemone has been reverting your images that you've been posting on Lacey Turner. Just to let you know, if you go to Wikimedia Commons at [1]you will be able to find out what images are acceptable and how to upload them. If you don't have the appropriate licence for your image, it should also be able to give you further advice about this. Any questions, please feel free to ask me on my talk page --5 albert square (talk) 18:04, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Joseph Timmons
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on Joseph Timmons requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. De728631 (talk) 15:06, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Leon Small. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. AnemoneProjectors 19:51, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Staceyslater.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Staceyslater.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 22:43, 30 July 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 22:43, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Image tagging for File:Zoe Slater.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Zoe Slater.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

Orphaned non-free image File:Zoe Slater.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Zoe Slater.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
PLEASE NOTE:
- I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
- I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
- If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
- To opt out of these bot messages, add
{{bots|deny=DASHBot}}
to your talk page. - If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Stacey Slater. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. 5 albert square (talk) 16:56, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Becky McDonald.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Becky McDonald.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Sam Mitchell (EastEnders), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. – DarkGlow • 11:42, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Sam Mitchell (EastEnders). There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. – DarkGlow • 17:49, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Sam Mitchell (EastEnders), you may be blocked from editing. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Shona McGarty. – DarkGlow • 08:06, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
“Vandalism” is pushing it. I was just correcting certain mistakes. I have no intention of vandalising Wiki, and those accusations are concerning. Hangover14 (talk) 15:42, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- I disagree. You're on 4 warnings, so it is vandalism at this point. – DarkGlow • 15:45, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
I wouldn’t expect anything different. I hope you never get to witness true vandalism if that’s the pretext you’re using against me. I promise to never correct a single word again. Hangover14 (talk) 15:52, 10 April 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Girth Summit. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Lacey Turner, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Girth Summit (blether) 18:59, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'd also ask that you don't remove 'better source needed' tags, when the source they're appended to is a tabloid like the Daily Mirror. It even has its own shortcut: WP:DAILYMIRROR. Girth Summit (blether) 19:02, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Amanda Bynes. Sundayclose (talk) 14:15, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry your majesty. I did not remove anything, I added the years she was active. Amanda‘s career days are over, you would know that if you referred to her acting résumé. She began acting in 1993 and last performed in the year 2010. You should be more concerned about engaging common sense rather than issuing threats. A ‘thank you’ would be nice. Hangover14 (talk) 18:09, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- Please watch your tone. Yes, you removed content Here, specifically "<!-- DO NOT STATE A RETIREMENT YEAR WITHOUT A RELIABLE SOURCE AFTER 2018 STATING THAT SHE HAS ANNOUNCED HER RETIREMENT. See talk page. -->. We do not add a retirement year because she has not announced her retirement and we aren't in the business of reading her mind or predicting the future. And actors or former actors sometimes are "active" in jobs that are not acting. Get consensus if you want to change that. Sundayclose (talk) 18:43, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- Watch my tone? Didn’t Hitler say the same thing? You seem to be in the business of reading my mind. I’ll watch my tone when you stop dictating to me about my contributions. I amended your error. Amanda Bynes has a mental illness. She has ceased acting. Which part of that do you find confusing? Her career dates from 1993-2010. But you seem to know best, even though it’s obvious you don’t. So I’ll just leave you to it. Hangover14 (talk) 20:14, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- Mental illness does not prevent someone from acting or working another job. If you have a medical source for that, please cite it. As I said, she has not announced her retirement. If you have a source stating that she has, please cite that. If you have a source that reliably predicts future events, please cite that. You removed content. If you wish to remove it again, or add a retirement year, please provide one of the previous citations that I have mentioned. Until then, I'm finished here. Sundayclose (talk) 20:35, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
