CFB pictures
Welcome back Phightins! Hopefully your wikibreak was beneficial. I thought I would drop in and let you know that I've had a lot of success recently with getting some pretty good quality CFB related pictures from Flickr users who were willing to change their image(s) license to a Commons-compliant license. Almost all the pictures I've found and gotten permission to upload to Commons have been related to the Badgers of course but if there are any CFB articles that could use pictures just let me know and I'll see what I can come up with. Some of the stuff I've gotten has been abstract, like finding a few good pictures depicting traditions regarding the Minnesota–Wisconsin football rivalry game. I still haven't heard back from that user about Alejandro Villanueva's cadet picture though . Anywho, if you (or any cfb-interested talk page stalkers :P) have any requests to find CFB pictures I wouldn't mind lending a hand. Cheers, — dainomite 08:01, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hey Dainomite, I enjoyed the break; nice refreshment before some upcoming wiki-heavy-lifting (hint, hint, we may soon have an admin candidate who supports the Phillies). I will let you know of any specific picture requests, but 2013 Penn State Nittany Lions football team could use some pictures. Thanks! Go Phightins! 19:40, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- Haha, I've had that page watchlisted for quite sometime, at least nine months, maybe more. I wanted to be sure to catch it on my watchlist when the time came. I'm glad I won't miss it. Good luck! I'll see what I can dig up in regards to the 2013 PSU season and I find any nice quality ones I will definitely let you know. — dainomite 23:54, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
Well.... I think I should let you know that I may have hit the jackpot lol. I found a Flickr user who has an album of pretty awesome photos for each PSU home game for the 2013 and 2012 seasons, (link). He said I am free to use any photos out of the albums. I just need to provide him with a list of pictures so he can manually change the license on them so I can upload them to Commons. If you want to sift through them and pick out any that specifically stand out to you let me know, if not that's ok too. I still need time to look through them myself so you have some time. — dainomite 13:19, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- Looks great, Dainomite. I will sift through, but excellent work! Thanks a million. Go Phightins! 19:03, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Kyle Kendrick
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Kyle Kendrick you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of EricEnfermero -- EricEnfermero (talk) 16:20, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

I have an idea that you'll do just fine and will be a wonderful addition. ```Buster Seven Talk 12:54, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hey Buster, thanks for the support. Going well so far; fingers crossed that'll continue :-) Go Phightins! 19:42, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- It seems to be going well. Of course, it's not a popularity contest AT ALL so don't let it go to your head! Drmies (talk) 12:48, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- Believe me, Drmies. I have never once in my life won a popularity contest. Go Phightins! 20:31, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- Even if you haven't, you're proving to be popular enough with your edits that people believe you have potential. If this ends well, you'll need to update your Editnotice. NFLisAwesome 21:04, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- Phightins, I think someone is going to do an RfB for you right after the RfA - you're doing so well! Although I'm just kidding, I want to pre-congratulate you on adminship and thank you for all of the work you have performed on Wikipedia! --JustBerry (talk) 17:33, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
Sorry
Very sorry for the question. But I was just testing your patience, please don't mind. I assumed good faith while asking that question. I have no intension to hurt you by any personal attack. - Hey Jim Cartar. No worries. I answered it :-) Go Phightins! 21:44, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

Article assessment log for baseball-related articles
Regarding your question for the newsletter, are you referring to Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Baseball articles by quality log? I see some reassessments there. isaacl (talk) 16:39, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- Right, Isaacl, but I can't find any logs for things that happened between May 6 and whatever the most recent date is on there, and of what I can see, the only item rated as GA-class would be a renamed article. Go Phightins! 19:21, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for May 28
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jonathan Pettibone, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cutter (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re: WP:BASEBALL editor spotlight
Thanks Phightins for the offer – I really appreciate it! Unfortunately, I won't be able to respond until Tuesday (at the earliest) as that's the day of my last exam (the school year ends later here in the UK). But I'll do my best to answer ASAP after then, as I know the newsletter has to go live before May 31. Cheers! —Bloom6132 (talk) 00:19, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you much, Bloom6132. Go Phightins! 01:00, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
Hey Phightins. Here are my responses (feel free to edit and amend where you feel necessary):
- My favourite part of contributing to WikiProject Baseball is expanding and improving lists to featured status. I specifically focus on the records and statistics of individual players; the sheer volume of lists in this area is mind-blowing, and there are still many more that have yet to be created (e.g. players with 6 hits in a game). It's a great testament to how our national pastime is unique and unlike any other sport. While it is still a team sport at the end of the day, there is an unmatched emphasis on individual performance, and these statistical lists are a direct result of this.
- The best article I've worked on so far is the Core Four page. I've been adding to it since 2011 and it was my first good article nomination (albeit unsuccessful). It's one of the few articles that has compelled me to do constant updating, because a lot has changed since I first edited the article – namely, the retirements of Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte, and Mariano Rivera. I will finally re-nominated it for GA (three years after my first attempt) when Derek Jeter retires after this season.
- The friendly, strong collaborative spirit of our baseball community is very encouraging and is a huge driving force for me to keep returning. I've worked on several featured lists and co-nominated a few DYKs with Muboshgu, improved Jack Warhop to GA with Secret back in November, and took Marvin Miller Man of the Year Award to FL after you and AutomaticStrikeout laid out the foundations for the list. Nearly all my interactions with members of our baseball community has been positive and pleasant, and this gives me every reason to keep coming back. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for making this happen.
- (I still haven't thought about a good response to this question. Will try to come up with one soon; if not, I'll let you know.)
Cheers! —Bloom6132 (talk) 03:57, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
DYK nomination of Alejandro Villanueva (American football)
Hello! Your submission of Alejandro Villanueva (American football) at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Yoninah (talk) 00:26, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
So... I got bored...
And tinkered around with a EotW userbox using the yellow/orange/red star from the Project itself. I'm not sure where on the project itself to let others know that I made it so I thought I would just drop a note here. I got the idea from the mbox on the EotW nominations page after I visiting over there earlier.

Away
Hi all, I will be away from now until Sunday afternoon ET. No, I am not resigning already ; I will be camping. Anyway, I have semi-protected Jay Carney, and would appreciate if someone would watch it "come off" of protection Sunday morning ET (I semi'd for 36 hours) in case that was not long enough. Other than that, have a great weekend everyone, and I will be back next week! Go Phightins! 19:12, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello Go Phightins!
I noticed that you commented on this article over a year ago, so it's probably changed a lot since. It now has six images with the non-free use rationales. Do you think that's too many? Also, I think two images on the Commons are copyright violations. (See Talk:Michael Kidner)
Thanks, Parabolooidal (talk) 01:15, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Kyle Kendrick
The article Kyle Kendrick you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Kyle Kendrick for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know.
