[edit]For aviation articles please use the resources available at: Template:WPAVIATION creator, List of aircraft etc. as these can be a great help in producing articles and ensuring article lay-outs and names are standardized. Happy editing--Petebutt (talk) 10:39, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
Loire 30
[edit]You said "copper-like shape" - what did you mean? Copper is a metallic chemical element, which doesn't make any sense in this context. Are you implying it is shaped like the policeman's helmet? Copper in that meaning is slang, and we try to avoid slang as much as possible in the English wiki - and it needs to be more specific as helmet shapes vary from area to area and era to era. Cheers, - NiD.29 (talk) 22:45, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
@NiD.29: I suspected that this (old-fashioned term) might cause confusion. If you have an idea how to avoid it, feel free to improve the text.
Background: Before the invention of washing machines people used a “copper” to heat their laundry, i.e. a large (sometimes double-walled) kettle heated by a fire. By the time of the Loire 30 this kind of device was so well-known that anybody seeing the front of the 301 immediately thought of a “laundry kettle”.

- Cool - thanks - I think copper laundry kettle may be sufficient. These types of terms tend to be very regional, and the term may not have even crossed the Atlantic. - NiD.29 (talk) 19:27, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
