What writing style to use

Wikipedia articles are composed and formatted according to the Manual of Style (MOS). MOS sets the house standard on Wikipedia for attributes like link formatting, capitalization, punctuation, and sections. MOS includes guidelines for biographies, citations, titles, dates and numbers, proper names, and many other stylistic details.

Some examples of the elements of style in the MOS are:

To place the MOS template at the right on your User page for easy reference, edit your User page and copy/paste: {{style}} (including the curly braces).

Please follow the MOS guidelines when you update an article.

To add this auto-updating template to your user page, use {{totd}}

Request reason:

Why was I blocked? I have no idea what I have done wrong. Also, a page I recently created was deleted. I poured a lot of effort into writing and adjusting the page.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 22:32, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I was blocked because of sockpuppetry. I'm not connected to the account with the name Bradgd. I'm not the same user and I don't definitely know him. The block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption because I'm not him and I believe I didn't cause damage. Please check my edits. Thanks

Hernaz1 was also blocked for sockpuppetry of Bradgd. He is a friend and a member of a coworking space group I'm in. We set different tasks to do, one of which is Wikipedia. We both know English well and that activity was assigned to us, among others. Each member of the group is assigned a task which suits their skills and at the end of the task we get to do a demonstration of how the task was done, what were the challenges.

Decline reason:

It sounds very much as though you are part of a paid editing ring. We do not allow such activity on Wikipedia. Yunshui  07:38, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You initially said there was no connection between you and Bradgd. Now you are saying there's a close connection and you are both part of the same group and both being assigned tasks here. Which is true? No connection, or a very close connection? What group are you a member of? Why are you being assigned tasks? --Yamla (talk) 23:09, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yamla, I'm referring to Hernaz1, who is my friend and a member of the group. We are a group in a coworking space called Triago. We set different tasks between us depending on what each of us knows best. Some were assigned poetry, a youtube video, a simple circuit board, a line follower, an application user interface.
Yunshui, I'm not part of any paid editing ring. I didn't and don't receive money for what I did. The only thing we get at the end is a certificate to verify our accomplishment. If there is anything I can do to prove it, I'm open to that.

Request reason:

Okay, it has been 9 days since I left my last message with no response. I'm not part of any paid editing ring. I didn't receive any money to create this page. I created that page as an activity of coworking space group. The only thing I get is a certificate at the end of that activity, which I'm not likely to receive because all my work is gone. Hernaz1 is also in the group whose edits were undone. I don't know what I have done wrong to be blocked. I'm not a sock and I don't receive pay. These are series of accusations which I don't know what I have done suspicious to be accused of and received this way. Again, if there is anything I can do to disprove these accusations, I will. Please help. Thanks.

Decline reason:

I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you at this time. Please reread wp:sock-- as you are editing, " as an activity of coworking space group", it would seem to apply. You do admit to coordinating efforts. If this is some bizarre and misguided class project, your instructor needs to reach out to someone like User:Ian (Wiki Ed) with the WikiEducationFoundation or post to Wikipedia:Education noticeboard as they are doing it wrong. So wrong. If you paid money to partake in such a debacle, you deserve a refund. It is concerning, however, that your story seems to vary at different times. And I see "working for a certificate" in lieu of money as a from of compensation. Please see Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 09:43, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
