A lengthy welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I've added a welcome message to the top of this page that gives a great deal of information about Wikipedia. I hope you find it useful.

Additionally, I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.

Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.

If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose of Wikipedia and the neutrality required in articles.

Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.

If you work from reliable, independent sources, you shouldn't go far wrong. WP:RSP and WP:RSN are helpful in determining if a source is reliable.

I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 16:52, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Draft articles

[edit]

See Wikipedia:Drafts. I don't work with drafts much myself, but I've left you plenty of information above on where to get help. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 19:48, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Gabi DeMartino discography moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Gabi DeMartino discography, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. August 2020

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Gabi DeMartino. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 02:22, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Niki and Gabi - Hair Tie Single Cover Art.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Niki and Gabi - Hair Tie Single Cover Art.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:30, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your Files for Upload request: Niki and Gabi image

[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your request at Files for upload! Unfortunately, your request has been declined. The reason is shown on the main Files for upload page. The request will be archived shortly; if you cannot find it on that page, it will probably be at this month's archive. Regards,Warm Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 11:39, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Content merged and redirected to main article

[edit]

Hello, this is just a note to let you know that the content from Individual Tour has been merged into the main article for Niki and Gabi. It was a quality contribution, but not enough for a stand-alone page. In the main article, it will get far more views. It would be great if information was added about their first tour.

If you wish to discuss or modify the merge and redirect, please post discussion at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion.

On a side note, I enjoyed listening to their music while doing the merge and redirect.

Again thank you for your quality contribution to Wikipedia. Please let me know if I can answer any questions.   // Timothy :: talk  03:24, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@TimothyBlue, it's ok thank you so much and i'm really sorry if it was unnecessary or something, well i honestly have two questions and i left them on your talk page! also i'm really glad that you liked it! Gabriella Grande (talk) 05:27, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Gabriella Grande, no worries it was no trouble at all and I learned about some new music in the process. I will check my talk page an answer tomorrow (time for this old man to get to bed). Best wishes from Los Angeles.   // Timothy :: talk  05:44, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The 4 Cats, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Pop and Rotana. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:03, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Gabriella Grande,

Why did you choose to move this article to Draft space? You should always include an edit summary explaining your editing decisions. This article went through an AFD and I question how it would benefit from a move to Draft space. Thank you for any clarification you can provide. Liz Read! Talk! 01:26, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm so sorry that I forgot to explain why I moved it, but it was because the article was nominated for deletion so I moved it to a Draft article so maybe someone can fix it before it gets deleted! I would love to re-edit that article so it can be moved back to the main space if it's possible. Gabriella Grande (talk) 20:20, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Jenny Esber moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Jenny Esber, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three.
