Please do not remove the "citation needed" tag from the Kinnow article, as you did in this edit[1], without providing an explicit verifiable reference for the claim on which this tag has been placed. Wikipedia's verifiability policy WP:V requires that all factual claims of this sort (such as the sentence "Gulf, CIS and Russia are the largest export markets for the fruit" where the tag was placed) be supported by explicit references to reliable sources. The policy also says that "The burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material" and that "Any material lacking a reliable source may be removed, but editors may object if you remove material without giving them sufficient time to provide references. If you want to request a source for an unsourced statement, consider tagging a sentence by adding the {{fact}} template". That is exactly what I have done here by tagging the sentence in question on August 9.[2] I will wait another 10-14 days or so before actually removing the statement from the article. If you can find a reference, please add it. If not, the sentence will have to be removed, at least until such time when a reference can be provided. Thank you. Nsk92 (talk) 12:50, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
