Please check before you accuse the subject of an article of vandalism merely because he tried to correct the spelling of his own name. A quick Google search would have shown that the unusual spelling is the correct one. —David Eppstein (talk) 05:19, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- David, please get over yourself. This didn't require the edit summary you left when you reverted my edits, nor the comments on the users talk page. This was an honest mistake and had you merely pointed this out to me I would have dealt with the matter and reverted my own edits as well as leaving an apology for the user in question as I have on previous occasions. Fraggle81 (talk) 11:56, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
referencing your response to my edit
Hi, I'm not very versed in editing Wikipedia, and I don't have much time to look into right now, so quite possibly my edit was not correctly executed.
What I was trying to point out was that, as I read the "Elephant Joke" article, and then later scanned it twice and then again with a detailed scan, I could not for the life of me find the .^ symbol referenced in the note section at the bottom of the article, in the text itself, nor could I find any text in the proper article referring to "To Wales", text which was referenced in the "Note". So, I have to think that either that text was omitted, or something else was amiss.
In the note section, after the article, one finds:
.^ This joke relies upon being spoken rather than being read, "two whales" being a homophone (or near homophone) of "to Wales". (See wine–whine merger.)
[edit]ReferencesItalic text
But, where is, "This joke?" I couldn't find it in the text.
In other words to be succinct, the note section of the article refers to an item or items that don't exist in the text itself.
Sorry if my previous edit was confusing. Cheers, L LambertLorette (talk) 23:54, 14 January 2013 (UTC) Possibly if you are in agreement about the need for an edit regarding the "Note", then you would be so kind as to insert the proper edit yourself, if you wouldn't mind - otherwise, at this point, I think I'll just let it go for now. Thanks
Ps If you found the reference in the text, or you disagree with the edit for some other reason, please let me know...I'm here to learn.
- Hello, thanks for your message. The reason your edit was removed is because it was a comment left on the article page which should instead be left on its talk page.
- There doesn't seem to be a good reason for the notes section - it's been there since January 2007 without any real purpose so I'm going to remove it. Anything else I can help you with just give me a shout, thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 00:42, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
Progress on WP:Snuggle and work log
I've been making some progress on Snuggle development recently and I could use your feedback. Specifically, I've created a work log that I plan to update every time I get a chance to work on Snuggle. My intention is that you'll be able to watch that page to track my progress so I can get your feedback on features when they are early in development. The most recent entry (also the only entry) discusses new functionality for interacting with newcomers via Snuggle. I posted some mockups in the work log that show how I imagine the new features to work and I could use some feedback before I start writing the code. Thanks! --EpochFail(talk • work) 20:30, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Spelling....
Hello F. Why are we reverting an English spelling of "defence" to an American one : "defense" ? I`m talking specifically of the article "The Phoney War" which didn`t even take place in America and, in fact, America wasn`t even in the war at that time !--JustinSmith (talk) 09:50, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Justin, I think you might want to check this [1] edit again. The Americanisation was added by IP user 24.22.37.219 and reverted by me. Not sure if you've seen the first userbox on my page? Fraggle81 (talk) 12:47, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Dear Sir,
I am amazed that you simply deleted the information that I included under the "Addax Petroleum" Wikipedia page. You state that the editing that was done was not constructive BUT you fail to realize that Addax Petroleum has been around since 1994 and should not simply be dealt with through the Sinoepc Wiki page (our majority shareholder since 2009). There are over 1000 employees at Addax Petroleum over 4 continents and we have only just embarked on building a comprehensive and informative Wikipedia page. We are Nigeria's 5th largest oil producer, Cameroon 2nd and just entered the North Sea trhrough a JV with Talisman Energy. You might also want to take into consideration that we are a very fast-growing company and will become much more prominent in the next 2/3 years.
FYI I also happen to be in charge of External & Government Relations at Addax Petroleum in Geneva and I would very much appreciate if you would restore in full the information posted under "Addax petroleum" yesterday afternoon. If you wish to learn more about us, our activities and unique set-up, do not hesitate to let me know but PLEASE do not delete information without giving us a chance to build a proper Wikipedia page. Indeed, it is difficult for firsdt time users and it does not help to have vigilante wiki users deleting any attempts to add content.
Very best regards,
Thomas Esdaile-Bouquet

- Hello Thomas. Firstly may I point you to WP:COI - From what you have told me you have a clear conflict of interest writing about this company here as well as being employed by them.
- Secondly your article appears to be completely promotional and without third party references.
- Thirdly the entire article is without proper wiki formatting and I'm guessing you did a copy and paste from notepad or something similar?
- In any case I have left maintenance tags on the page which will draw attention to the page and allow discussion of the best way forward for dealing with the issues presented. I would advise you to have a better understanding of how to properly edit Wikipedia in relation to how to correctly format pages (see WP:BETTER) and also the various policies that govern editors (see WP:SIMPLE) before continuing to make edits. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 11:58, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
Dear Fraggle81,
Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my message. The points you raise are fair and I do realise that there is a pressing need to provide the numerous references that will free me of any suspictions of providing misguided information. My primary aim is simply to present facts about the company. Your points with regards to the quality of the editing are fully taken on board: I must admit being a novice Wiki editor, which makes it all the more time-consuming. As I indicated in the Talk page associated with the Addax Petroleum page, I will be doing my best to add as many quality references as possible over the next few days and weeks. Again, my sole aim is to bring quality information to the wider Wikipedia public and I suggest that you continue monitoring our page and do not hesitate to flag up potential issues that you feel might be contentious. I would much rather engage in an open and direct dialogue than see my first efforts wiped out.
Very best regards,

- Right this conversation has got into a complete mess since you didn't make a new section when you left me a message and then you are replying to messages another user left for me as though they are me.
- To deal with your original query, the link you left isn't appropriate for a Wikipedia article and certainly not a disambiguation page. Community associations generally don't meet notability for Wikipedia. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 19:26, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Sorry about your pottery page
I just felt the page didn't have enough information on it, and seemed it was not finished. You don't have to, but maybe you could add more information so people can use it as a better source of information (not that it isn't)
I hope you will take in this message and add more information. Thank you.

- You clicking on the "good-faith revert" button might be why I had to mark your edit as innocent, but you're the second logged-in user to need me to mark the reversion of tests/vandalism as innocent, and the first one to be using STiKi, and I've marked many, many edits as innocent on STiKi. I'm not really sure what's going on.I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 01:39, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
- To be fair in hindsight I probably should of hit vandal on that one. Am keeping a watch on that IP anyway.
- As for the STiki issue, I've been giving it some thought and it could be because the queue was becoming exhausted, I seem to recall having checked other editors reverts in the past and that being the cause. I think the queues have probably been a bit low recently due to heavy usage am sure Andrew could shed some light on it over at the STiki talk page. Fraggle81 (talk) 05:24, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

I am Rajen Merchant, living in Toronto, Ontario. I saw you deleted my edits. If it was due to use of capital letters or other formatting issues, please correct it and post it for the benefit of other users. A PAPER PUBLISHED IN 1994 PROVED THAT THE STRESS CONCENTRATION FACTOR DEPENDS ON CURRENT (NOT ORIGINAL) VALUES OF a AND b. The article on wikipedia is way out of date (2013-1994=19 or at least 18 years). Use of original a and b values leads to infinite stress at the tip for a sharp crack.
I am way ahead in my research and preparing to write a book on elliptical/circular holes in thin plates. My mathematical tools prove that final values of a and b also depend on material properties, far field stress, and initial values of a and b. Furthermore, it also depends on definition of stresses and strains (published by wikipedia in related articles). I encourage you to have an open mind and correct the errors in that wikipedia article yourself. IT IS FOR THE BENEFIT OF WIKIPEDIA AND OTHER READERS. I want to provide the benefit of my research to wikipedia - that is my contribution to wikipedia. Rajen Merchant (talk) 20:39, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hello Rajen, Giving time and knowledge to Wikipedia is laudable however it must be properly formatted for readability and it must be properly referenced (see WP:NOR). I hope you take the time to understand the policies required to successfully edit and go on to add many valuable contributions. Fraggle81 (talk) 21:14, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
There are only two ways. Either I edit it after a long time OR you edit it now. I started working on this project in Fall 2007. Until, April 2011 I was on the wrong track. Finally, I found out the right way. There is only one reference (that 1994 one) on this topic which had tried in the right direction - the current configuration. Even that had some errors. Hence, it ended up with wrong conclusions. Since April 2011, I have worked very hard on various aspects of this topic. I am extremely busy right now, preparing videos on this topic. For example, search for "Stress Concentration Factor" or "Elliptical Hole in a Thin Plate" in youtube. You will find my first video. The second one is almost ready. My research goes very deep into the topic - non-linearity, strain definitions etc. etc. It will take me a while before I learn your policies. In the meantime, I request you or someone you know can edit and let readers know the right approach. Otherwise, readers will still be behind almost 18 years. It is your choice.Rajen Merchant (talk) 00:37, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
Indeed, it is my original research which has a strong mathematical foundation. Even this part of mathematics is developed by me. That development helped me solve this problem. In my videos I will show that my results are better than any other results. Unfortunately, if wikipedia does not accept original research then it will be just reprinting what has been printed elsewhere - even if it may not be right. And in this case, what is on that page is NOT right. Readers of that wikipedia page will go to my website or elsewhere where I will publish my original work (a book perhaps which will show complete mathematical details behind those conclusions). Eventually, you people will recognize its value, accept it, and print it, to correct that page. It is already being accepted by some experts in the field. I will continue writing my book. As I mentioned earlier, the fact that a and b are from final (and not initial) configuration was published in 1994. Leaving aside my research which develops that concept to an incredible variety of solutions for various scenarios, the current wikipedia page is at least 18 years out of date. Someone should correct it. I brought it to your attention. Now, I leave it in your good hands.Rajen Merchant (talk) 02:55, 14 March 2013 (UTC)

Natural Kinds
The reason I changed 'projectable' to 'projectible' in the Natural Kinds article is that 'projectible' is the spelling W. V. O. Quine specifies when introducing this new term. I suggest therefore that it should be changed back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.145.127.112 (talk) 09:32, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
I changed his cause of death from cancer to AIDS and cited two sources. You changed it back and suggested my change was "not constructive." Wikipedia is about truth. The stated cause of death in Baker's Wiki entry is clearly false, although he died during a period when AIDS was still widely referred to as "Gay Cancer." I could understand your explanation if you were a family member embarrassed by his homosexuality and trying to hide the truth. But it strikes me as potentially homophobic to perpetuate a clear falsehood because you think it's somehow defamatory to reveal his true cause of death or his sexuality. Perhaps I've misinterpreted your motives but I think it's important to maintain the integrity of Wikipedia by publishing the truth whenever possible. Please revert to my original edit. Thanks. - Max
- Hi Max, I'm not sure if you've looked at the link at the top of this page where it says "Coming here to ask why I reverted your edit? Please read this page first..." the last paragraph of that page is relevant here, I don't have a bias towards any particular viewpoint so I would ask that you don't accuse me of homophobia.
- Vandals quite often insert x person has AIDS or something similar which is why the software flagged your edit to be looked at. I appreciate you gave references for your changes however you left them in the edit summary rather than on the article which is why they became overlooked.
- I have found a problem here anyway, whatever the truth, I'm unable to say one way or the other whether it was cancer or AIDS since there are conflicting sources online. I would suggest leaving a message on the articles talk page since there is already a comment about this very issue, hopefully some consensus can be reached in this way. I'm happy to remove the warning from your IP's talk page at this point, thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 02:06, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

YOU SEEM TO HAVE A DESIRE TO 'CORRECT' THE ARTICLE. YOU SHOULD BE AWARE THAT IT REMAINS A TISSUE OF LIES AND DOES NOT REFLECT REALITY. EVEN WHEN I SUPPLY REFERENCES THEY ARE SIMPLY REJECTED AND SOME SYCOPHANTS PERPETUATE THE ON-GOING DECEPTIONS. Crucified Barbara edit that you reverted
Please correct me because I don't understand your edit?
I made and made an edit to an article that IS "out of date". I added current information because "I happen to like this band", and want to help out in any way I can.
If I did something wrong, please tell me, "exactly what is wrong", because I admit I'm just a novice Wiki helper and don't keep up with everything going on here.
I added current information under their tours listing:
Tours
In November 2006, they supported Motörhead along with Clutch.[3] They played at the heavy metal festival Sweden Rock in June, 2006 and again in 2009,[4] with bands such as Heaven & Hell, In Flames and Dream Theater. In 2010 they played at Wacken Open Air.
Added this:
They toured in the USA for the first time on the NORTH AMERICAN TOUR MARCH/APRIL 2013. They toured with CRASHDÏET and SNAKESKYN WHISKEY.
If the caps is the problem, I can easily correct it or if you have a suggestion on how to make it read better please suggest.

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Website, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. SudoGhost 18:34, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
- I Reverted what appeared to be unsourced edits/vandalism by User:Navatard which undoubtedly would be a minor edit and you are warning me? I won't be as petty minded as to warn you for incorrect use of a warning template despite the fact you should know better as a member of WP:UW and it being bad form to template a long standing editor per WP:DTR. In the 6 years I have been an editor on Wikipedia this is the first warning I have had. I would ask that you review your actions and think about removing your warning from my talk page since removing unconstructive edits/vandalism should be a minor edit and a warning seems unwarranted in the circumstances. If you are in any doubts about my editing history I would ask you to check with the numerous editors who are both involved with WikiProject user warnings and are also STiki users or contact User:West.andrew.g who is both an admin and creator of STiki. Fraggle81 (talk) 02:59, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- The edit, while unsourced, was most certainly not vandalism under Wikipedia definition of the term, and therefore the use of a minor edit was inappropriate per Wikipedia policy. It would be quite easy to check with one of the numerous editors involved with Wikiproject User Warnings, since I am one of those editors and have created quite a few relevant templates that have been reviewed by others in the WikiProject, including Template:Uw-notvand; so believe me when I say that I am familiar with the definition of vandalism, and that the edit you reverted was nowhere close to vandalism. I'm not accusing you of bad faith or saying anything negative, only that if you're not 100% sure that it falls under Wikipedia's definition of vandalism, please take the extra five seconds to manually revert the edit, since minor edits are only for very specific uses, and reverting unsourced content is not one of them. Thank you. - SudoGhost 03:13, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- Firstly, apologies if my tone was a little harsh, that's the dangers of replying to talk page messages after a night out. I still disagree that issuing a warning template was the way to go here regardless of whether it was vandalism or not. In my opinion a quick message to an editors talk page is always better than a template when they've been around here a while and is less likely to get them on the defensive.
Accurate information on Ice Road Truckers Wikipedia page removed.
This is in reguards to my addition on the Ice Road Truckers page. I added under Hugh Rowland's section on Season One how he was an inspirational individual to many young apiring truckers, which is indeed a fact that he has inspired multiple people (even young people) to become great truckers such as himself. Thank you for your time. 71.58.84.49 (talk) 19:47, 24 April 2013 (UTC)Sage
- Hello. your actual contribution was "Rowland has also been a big inspiration to aspiring truckers around the world, such as Ben King." If Ben King was someone notable rather than yourself or someone you know personally it would possibly be a valid edit. As it stands it is a personal comment and therefore doesn't belong in a Wikipedia article. Hope this clears things up. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 00:58, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

Message by Buchan Patricia
I am not sure if I am writing to you in the correct place as I am new to this. But you changed something that I had edited. Nemo Me Impune Lacessit. You then left a message asking that I come to this Talk page and leave you a message if I wanted to question what you had done. As I have said I am new to this and therefore may have edited technically incorrectly for which I am sorry. However, I had looked up the page and I found an incorrect translation of the motto into Scots. Wha Daur Meddle with me? is very catchy and is taken from one of the Border Ballads recorded by Sir Walter Scott. In jest it has sometimes been used as the translation of Nemo Me Impune Lacessit but only in jest as it is a false translation. Now that many of us have no Latin Wha Daur is taken by many as the true translation this is very unfortunate for us in Scotland as it makes us appear ignorant to those who do know their Latin. the reference is the Scottish Field which is a sporting magazine not an academic text (in fact I would suggest it is likely that the journalist looked up Wikipedia for his information! ).
I don't want to be difficult but the currant page is misleading and as I am proud of my country and wish us to have the correct information at our finger tips I should very much like it were the page to be changed in the manner I suggested. Riot Games
Dear Fraggle81, Recently I edited a Wikipedia page [Riot Games]. I added the sign-up like for League of Legends so if people wanted to play it there would be a direct link. Anyways, today I was looking over that page and it said that you deleted my edit because it wasn't constrictive. I didn't quite understand what you meant by 'constrictive'. Can you please explain that to me. With Regards, Sidiqis (talk) 20:44, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

- Specifically, "Providing Logistic solutions for Mega Projects for carriage of Over dimensional Cargo logistics". . . Mean as custard (talk) 16:02, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
- How about "Providing shipping for large projects and oversized cargo" or something similar? "Shipping big stuff" doesn't really sound like something you would read in an encyclopaedia. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 16:14, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

- Removing large sections of text without any kind of edit summary would appear to be vandalism regardless of what the template at the top of the page says. Also "The series is taking a break, but is talking about ending. If you would like to watch it, you will have to buy the DVD's." isn't really a fitting tone for an encyclopaedia. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 15:19, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Dear Fraggle81. Itt appears that you have made a mistake and deleted a good faith edit as vandalism. That appears to be a serious breach by you. Please correct.(----)
- Hello, firstly the additions you made do not strike me as appropriate for an encyclopaedia article, secondly you are marking every edit you make as minor when they are clearly not. Thirdly when leaving messages please use four ~ rather than four - Fraggle81 (talk) 02:19, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hello
You are wrong. Not every edit is marked minor -only the ones that I believe are minor. What strikes you as appropriate does not make it vandalism and you seem to be overstepping you bounds, Sorry that I used - instead of~.(Patroit22 (talk) 22:04, 18 June 2013 (UTC))
- The majority of your edits have been marked as minor when they should not have been - for some guidance on what to mark as minor see WP:ME. I used my judgement and considered it to be vandalism due to the content you added and make very clear my rationale for making reverts here. Fraggle81 (talk) 00:24, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

ANIMAL SUICIDE
Dear Fraggle81. Here are a few examples of the poor quality of writing displayed on the Wikipedia article on Animal suicide.
"In Zimbabwe THERE WAS REPORT of a lion getting stuck IN WARTHOG HOLE after A PAIR OF LIONS CHASED THE ANIMAL into the hole." /// "In a pair of pet lovebirds, the male GOT an injury that killed him in one hour. [1] The female, witnessing the SUFFERANCE of her partner until he died, imitated all his movements, LIKE she would have suffered the SAME WAY LIKE HIM." /// "The deer did not realize the height of the bridge because they do not have GOOD depth perception. Even though the DEAR did jump to its death, ITS SAFE TO SAY that it did not want to die and simply chose the best option in its mind, that happened to still result in death"
This article reads like a twelve year old's book report. All typos have been capitalized and left intact. Missing/incorrect punctuation reflects that of the original article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.221.1.250 (talk) 17:05, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Fraggle81 (talk) 04:59, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
My recent edit was correct, and the President who appointed Judge Seybert to the bench was in fact President Clinton. This can be verified by the fact that President Clinton was in office in the year 1993, by accessing the page: List of Federal Judges appointed by President Clinton, and also by accessing the link at the botton of Judge Seybert's page, Biographical Directory of Federal Judges. I updated the page since the indication that President Bush appointed her to the bench is factually incorrect.

Changes to the page Surapadman
As per the Hindu epic Kumarasambhava authored by Kalidasa (4th century AD), the name of the demon is Surapadma (Sanskrit) and not Surapadman. His brothers were Tarakasura and Simhamukha, and not Tarakasur and Simhamukhan. My edits were to correct the spelling of the names as per the original epic which I have read. Adding a 'n' at the end of the names of the demons are misleading - in fact, by adding a 'n' to Simhamukha, the name ends with khan which is not a Hindu name at all.

Hi Fraggle81 I have edited the Swinton Circle page. I am the Hon Treasurer for the Swinton Circle, so it is proper for me to make changes as agreed by Committee. Why do you feel that it is proper for you to interfere, please?? Perhaps you might explain who you are and your connection with the Swinton Circle. 94.197.161.42 (talk) 13:31, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
- What has your committee got to do with what goes on with Wikipedia? It's an encyclopaedia anyone can edit so I can "interfere" as much as I like on any one of the 4,264,722 articles that currently exist. So long as I can back up what I'm saying with a valid reference myself and anyone else who cares to edit can do exactly the same. You don't need to know who I am or anything about me. I would advise familiarising yourself with Wikipedia and its policies rather than trying to harass editors - see WP:5. Fraggle81 (talk) 16:19, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
Your edit on Software licensing audit has been reverted by Fraggle81.
Fraggle81: You reverted several changes that I made to the Software Licensing entry. The errors that I corrected were spelling errors where the words I corrected used the British spelling, but the remainder of the article used the American spelling. For consistency and clarity, American English needs to be used, and it would be appreciated if you did not take it upon yourself to revert proper changes.
- Actually the article originally used British English - it's the American version that's incorrect in this case so for consistency and clarity please change the Americanisation back to the proper British spelling per WP:ENGVAR. Also please use an edit summary when making such changes. Fraggle81 (talk) 16:56, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi Fraggle81 - not sure why you removed my edit to the above.Maybe because the original article has been queried? However, the original objection seems to have been posted in 2009, and no action subsequently taken? Interestingly, the original article has been criticised for being a "personal reflection or opinion essay ". But it's not - it is, however, highly technical, and you need a fair degree of expertise to understand it. I'm new to Wikipedia - but see you guys do an important job! - Hello. Ok two things with this one - firstly adding "ABSOLUTELY" into an article doesn't do much for it. No need for capitals and the tone doesn't suit an encyclopaedia.
- Secondly, if you have a reference to prove what you are saying as you do above then link to it in the article so everyone knows what you are writing is verifiable. Using an edit summary to let other editors know what changes you have made is also a very good idea. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 00:49, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello Fraggle, thanks for the message, not sure what was wrong with my edit of South Australia Police? Three weeks ago they had a rollout of small personal issue wolf eyes torches to replace the old station issue Maglite torches. This was a first for SAPOL, never in their history has there been a personal issue torch. I know this as I have two friends who are serving members and am considering joining myself. The information can be verified at tenders.sa.gov.au or at the manufacturers website the model is sniper 2 pro and they mention the tender. Hi! I was creating and editing TimeTree, which is software that is developed by the center that I work in. I noticed you reverted a number of my changes (which certainly aren't complete and comprehensive yet, but still!), from the infobox to an extra section on details -- I'm a little confused why, as both of my citations (TimeTree, PubMed as Google Scholar is apparently not an acceptable source on # of citations) seem to cover all of the material. Should I be adding citations after every single sentence? My apologies, but I'm a little new on the protocol. Phylogeneric (talk) 20:35, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

The Truth About Cars
Hi Fraggle81. Hope all is well.
The criticism left at this page is supported by the content of the publication.
The reason why specific quotes were used that originated from the site was to show exactly what was written, and to avoid engaging in any type of conjecture regarding opinions or speculation. What was put in the quotation marks is the word for word writings of the editor-in-chief of that site with links offered so that the full article can be viewed by readers. If there are other sections that may be objectionable with the criticism, I will definitely consider those and edit with that in mind. However the events that took place are supported by the facts as presented by the author of those articles, and this entry should therefore be given reasonable consideration as a 'criticism'.
Thanks for all you do.76.20.240.115 (talk) 16:41, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you very much for the praise and the explanation. The way I was reading things made it sound like a personal commentary however I now suspect the quotation marks might have been out of place. If that is indeed the case I cant see a problem with what you wrote being re added. Either way I'm now happy that your edits were in good faith so I will remove the warning from your talk page. July 2013
Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Citrusbowler (talk) (contribs) (email me) 01:15, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes I'm well aware thanks. I only use template messages where I feel they are appropriate. Generally it's considered bad form to template regular editors. Fraggle81 (talk) 01:25, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Hello, and thank you for removing vandalism from Free on Board. This is much appreciated, but unfortunately your repair was not successful in restoring the article to its pre-vandalised state. For future reference, it is better to deal with vandalism by checking the article's page history to determine how it appeared before it was vandalised. You can then restore the whole article, or the relevant part of it, to an appropriate earlier version. If you simply delete the visible vandalism then any content removed or overwritten by the vandal is lost. See How to deal with vandalism for details. Thank you. --71.199.125.210 (talk) 19:58, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- I Suggest you also take a look at don't template the regulars and also understand that STiki (The vandal fighting tool I was using) only asks the user to classify one edit - or one contiguous series of edits by the same user. The whole article doesn't show, just the differences. As for fighting vandalism have a look at WP:STIKI/L - I have some experience at it. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 20:21, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I didn't know that's how STiki worked. --71.199.125.210 (talk) 21:27, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thats ok. Apologies if I sounded harsh there. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 01:16, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
Message from Editorial awesome
Hi Fraggle. Thank you for the nice message regarding my edit that you reverted. In the message you left for me, you requested that I leave a comment on your talk page if I disagree with your edit/reversion. I do disagree with your reversion, and have undone your edit. Thanks for participating in Wikipedia.
- Thanks for letting me know you were about to re vandalise the page. All very funny now please stop. Fraggle81 (talk) 01:47, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Anthony Weiner
Do not leave the impression that Anthony Weiner was a race baiting politician after the Crown Heights riot, and then leave a foot note left by a left wing political paper. If you'd been there, you would know that Jews we singled out and assualted and killed during that period of time, directly because of political inaction of the then current administration that allowed racial tensions to simmer all through central Brooklyn prior to and after the riots. Any politician that ignored that fact, from the Mayor on down was tossed from office. Whatr was left on that wikipedia article was slanderous not only to Weiner, but the entire district.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.57.23.82 (talk) 03:48, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- I have no interest in the politics of this at all. Do not leave personal commentary on a Wikipedia article, it is not appropriate. If there is anything you disagree with take it to the articles talk page and discuss it with other editors until consensus is reached.
- Please learn from the numerous warnings and blocks you have had for similar behaviour and edit as part of the Wikipedia community by adhering to its rules. Fraggle81 (talk) 02:58, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Kurt Cobain page
Hello Fraggle81,
I see the revisions you did concerning my edit on Kurt Cobain. I edited the page due to the use of British English on an American's page. Kurt Cobain was an American, so please use the American version of English. Just like if you were making a page about a British person you would use British English. Thanks. Sorry about that incident on the Tanki Online page
Sorry about that, my friend's little bro decided that it would be funny to sneak onto my computer and ruin a wikepia page just to get me banned from it. :-( He thought it would be funny. Not funny at all.
Does it look like I care if you don't believe me? And Fraggle81, wrong little brother. Not mine. His. I am an only child. Anyways, thanks for your contributions on wikipedia. Really helps.
I'm gonna make an account now. That way if this pest tries pinning it on my IP, I can finally say no without it sounding like an excuse.
- Cripes, Discospinster! A little good faith? A quick glance through this persons contributions would suggest that he is telling the truth.

IRC office hours for wiki-mentors and Snuggle users
Hi. We're organizing an office hours session with the Teahouse to bring in mentors from across the wiki to try out Snuggle and discuss it's potential to support mentorship broadly. The Snuggle team would appreciate it if you would come and participate in the discussion. We'll be having it in #wikimedia-office connect on Wed. July 17th @ 1600 UTC. See the agenda for more info. --EpochFail(talk • work), Technical 13 (talk), TheOriginalSoni (talk) 17:29, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

I'll be in #wikimedia-office connect a half hour early to answer any questions you have. --EpochFail(talk • work) 15:53, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
The Hardwick Arms Hotel
"Some people just feel the need to delete" - well actually as the one responsible, that isn't quite true. I know from experience that creating an article and then having it deleted is not a heart warming experience, but it honestly wasn't notable and didn't measure up to Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Sorry about that. Velella Velella Talk 14:41, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi Fraggle81, sorry for unnecessary editing in devil may cry section. I didn't wanted to do any harm :\ . I just wanted to fix some misunderstandings in devil may cry storyline with which any one agrees that is incorrect cause DMC4 comes before DMC2 in storyline. Here is the proof that people thinks the way as I'm telling you now << http://devilmaycry.wikia.com/wiki/Devil_May_Cry_(series) >> and it is only logical way of the DMC storyline. Edits
Hi I'm the one who edited the LSD page you reverted. I never vandalise, I respect Wikipedia and the people who edit it too much! However, this 'The supply of constituent chemicals including lysergic acid which was used for production of LSD in the 1960s and ergotamine tartrate which was used for production in the 1970s', which is what I edited, is wrong. I know because I am the Peter Simmons who made LSD in 1969, my chemist Quentin made it from ergotamine tartrate which I bought, and my understanding was that it came from Czechoslovakia, but as it came from black market source, that much is hearsay. It was ergotamine tartrate though. Sorry I didn't login first, I did register years ago, but forgotten my login/password and no time to try to find it. I thought I had signed it, but I'm not very conversant with how everything works, and protocols, so, I'm sorry if I did wrong! Knowing my IP was logged seemed enough. (talk)
- Hello Pete, I left you a message on your IP talk page not sure if you got it? Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 14:48, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Fraggle81, sorry, don't know what my IP talk page is! And can't find it. I have a talk page now I'm logged in but it has nothing in it. I should also explain my other edit, which was to take off the [[]] round Quentin's name as there isn't a page to go to, and little likelihood as he is dead. --PetePassword (talk) 14:52, 4 September 2013 (UTC) I get more confused the more I try to figure how this all works.
I've replied to your comment but no response, yet your reverting was instantaneous. I still can't find anything like a 'IP talk page' and no idea what it is or where. --PetePassword (talk) 15:48, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
Follow-up - questions about reversion
Hi, I received your message indicating that my edits to the page on Cushing's Disease had been reverted. I reviewed the page regarding common reasons for the reversion of edits, and the edits I'd proposed don't seem to fit any of those categories. As I recall, at least some of my edits were to add citations, and I did so from reputable sources (e.g., National Institute of Health). Anyway, could you please provide me some more detail as to why my edits were reverted? I wanted to make good and meaningful contributions to the page and am hoping that I can do that. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brianmeadors (talk • contribs) 16:22, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Ivory-billed Woodpecker page
The Ivory-billed Woodpecker page is highly biased. There were nine sightings in the Pearl River in 2006 and 2008, and two of them are supported by video evidence that is published in the scientific literature at the following URL...
http://asadl.org/jasa/resource/1/jasman/v129/i3/p1626_s1?isAuthorized=no
The sightings used to be mentioned at this page. It seems rather odd that someone took it upon themselves to remove that discussion. What good is Wikipedia if people are able to delete perfectly valid and useful information? Overcupoak (talk) 23:29, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hello Overcupoak, Leaving commentary and notes on an article is not appropriate. You need to visit the articles talk page and discuss it with other editors there where you will hopefully get the response you are looking for. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 01:23, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

Err.. hello, My name is resniperowl, and I happened to find a message from you, about the vandalism of the Twig page. I notice that, on the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps article, you have reverted the latest edit making note that the corps is sometimes referred to as the "Bad Ass Crusaders." The truth of the matter is, the corps IS frequently known by this nickname, no matter what any of us might think as to its being right and proper. The comment has been deleted previously, and it will probably soon reappear. When I did a rewrite of the article last year, I let the remark stand for the simple reason that it was and is the truth. Some time thereafter, someone else deleted it, but it was back a short time later. Just thought you should know... GWFrog (talk) 06:59, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Spain Culture Edit
Hi, you very recently undid one of my edits to the spain culture page and I wanted to explain my action. I have heard time and time again from professors that wikipedia is not a legitimate source for academic work as it is too openly edited by anyone. So my goal was to test this out. Therefore, that is why I randomly placed the word hippo onto the page as I was curious what would happen. Much to my surprise, my addition was immediately caught and fixed. Very impressed. Warning About Errors in the Cited Table of Critical Values for Hartley's Fmax Statistic
Fraggle81,
0) I too share your appreciation and respect for Wikipedia, but you should be more careful before labeling improvements as vandalism.
1) Except for a brief warning by the citation on the User Page, my comments were restricted to the Talk section.
2) My comments were fairly constructive in citing specific errors I had discovered in the referenced table of critical values, hoping the professor who posted them or one of the statistical table authors would correct them. My point was to alert trusting users that the cited table had some misprints and/or misunderstandings of the published tables:
- The cited table of Fmax critical values is not completely reliable.
- The .05 critical value for 2 treatments and 7 degrees of freedom (df) should read 4.99 rather than 0.99; the .01 critical values for 3 df for 7 to 12 treatments are off by at least a factor of 10. For these latter cases the Biometrika Tables for Statisticians noted that their least significant digits might be uncertain by several units and (for example) wrote the entry for 7 treatments as 21(6) rather than as 216 to alert the user to that possible imprecision; the cited table ignores the final parenthesized digit all together, writing 21, which is grossly wrong.
- The .05 critical value for 2 df and 12 treatments is given as 704 in the Biometrika Tables and in Lloyd S. Nelson (1987) "Upper 10%, 5% and 1% Points of the Maximum F-Ratio". Journal of Quality Technology 19(3), pp. 165-167; the cited table gives 714.
- Fortunately, few of these critical values are likely to be used in practice by statisticians since they have only 2 or 3 degrees of freedom or (in the case of 2 treatments) a standard F-table would be used instead. Unfortunately, I haven't computed these tables myself, having relied on copyrighted sources, and therefore can provide no uncopyrighted sources for Wikipedia. --Ray921 (talk) 21:58, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
3) The cited table of Fmax critical values is not completely reliable.
The .05 critical value for 2 treatments and 7 degrees of freedom (df) should read 4.99 rather than 0.99; the .01 critical values for 3 df for 7 to 12 treatments are off by at least a factor of 10.
Do you understand that I cited an appropriate authority for the critical values and how the poster of the flawed table had misunderstood what the renowned table was saying, informing users that the .01 critical value of Fmax for 7 treatments might be, say, 216 +/- 3, but the cited reference (as of today) still gives the critical value as 21?
4) I believe you failed to understand the content of my comments or check the cited table, probably because you are not a statistician. I don't want to play games with you by reverting my comments until you either suggest wording that you consider more appropriate and pledge not to vandalize a legitimate caution about misinformation. Until then, you are discrediting Wikipedia by making it a purveyor of misinformation.
Ray921 (talk)
- I believe you lack a basic understanding of how Wikipedia works. Everything here relies on third party sources and if those sources are wrong then so is Wikipedia. The onus is on the reader to make sure what they are reading is correct before using it for anything further - caveat lector. Leaving comments on an article is not appropriate - that is the purpose of the talk page. Failiure of readers to check the talk page for issues is not failure of Wikipedia. Fraggle81 (talk) 15:18, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- Although I believe an alert is warranted when someone cites an erroneous source on the User Page, I defer to you about Wikipedia protocol on the User Page. I am indeed an occasional and inexperienced editor. However, if Wikipedia forbids an alert or caution on the User Page about a citation containing not merely errors, but errors in precisely the information it purports to provide, then so much the worse for Wikipedia. The [erroneousness] is not a matter of opinion -- this is fact -- and moreover, a mathematically verifiable fact. Ray921 (talk) 18:44, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- It is by no means a perfect system, Wikipedia only requires reliable sources which may or may not be factually correct. I commend your diligence however such warnings need to be on the talk page not the article. Fraggle81 (talk) 18:51, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi you edited the Playlist.com entry as vandalism. I am new to wikipedia but I own the domain Playlist.com and operate the service there. I tried to make proper edits, but you reverted them. - Hello, that edit removed the infobox from the right of the page and not a lot else, I couldn't see a good reason for it's removal. Lake Cerknica
Dear Fraggle81,
We have just started a tourist company in Cerknica, where tourists can plan their active vacation. Our website is full of information on the subject of Lake cerknica and we believe that it's a good learning or info material for people who would like to know more. We also run a Farm in this area and have a lot of knowladge of the natural, ethnological and geographical aspect of the Lake. There is a map of activities and a calendar of current events. We try to give information to the world, not advertise or show signs of Vandalism.

Dear Fraggle81. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the article on Zdzitava "does not cite ANY references or sources." And Wikipedia asks for help to be able to improve it. The text about Zdzivata doesn't contain ANY correct information (apart from the picture). Chekkibreaky and Buttsnif lakes don't exist. It doesn't have any sister villages in New Zealand. There are no factories there and no backpacker ever got murdered there. ..should I continue the list? Should we argue about the concept of drunken teenage time travellers and how real they are? And that 22nd Annual Goatee Pioneer Awards never took place, same as the first 21 ceremonies? If you are able to prove me wrong, all this information can be publish on the web. But it's all halucination. And unworthy of Wikipedia. With all respect, Zdzitava defender. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.128.161.47 (talk) 14:41, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- Arguing about the concept of drunken teenage time travelers sounds fun, better than anything else I have planned for tonight. Maybe I could meet you by Buttsnif lake and discuss the issue? I'll bring my copy of goatees monthly and you can bring a recorder (I know your town has a booming Recorder industry since your Wikipedia page says so). So what you say 7.30??
Seriously though just an error. I see Discospinster has dealt with the issues anyway. Thanks Fraggle81 (talk) 15:33, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
Hey, sorry for my emotional reaction! I had no idea how Wikipedia works and assumed automatically that you are the author of this mocking piece. And I tried to explain why it is impossible to publish it. , I must admit, it was a very funny text... but out of place here. Ordnung muss sein :) Thanks for being cooperative! and for your understanding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.219.180.18 (talk) 07:18, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
Re-Animator
Hi, Fraggle81. You recently reverted an edit I made to the Re-Animator page, I believe implying it was not constructive (and maybe vandalism). I wanted to note that this was not at all my intention. The plot summary says:
"West and Dan track Halsey to the morgue, where they find Hill's body holding his head in a compromising position over a restrained Megan."
I find this extremely problematic. The scene in the movie is a rape scene, and it is disturbing. Anyone who is not sure about watching this movie, or looking for any kind of accurate summary, should know that what happens in this part of the movie is—fairly objectively—rape. Not "a compromising position." We would not talk about movies like Thelma & Louise as having a scene where Thelma is "almost put into an uncompromising position" because it's untrue. The current summary is not constructive because it does not accurately describe what happens in the movie. My edit was intended to fix that.
Thank you for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.6.107.13 (talk) 15:54, 19 September 2013 (UTC)

Please, may I use these links in a discography section
Hello Fraggle81,
I have contacted you before and I would deeply appreciate your help again. The administrator who welcomed me to Wikipedia has mysteriously vanished, another administrator does not know the answer to my question because it's not her field, a third highly experienced Wikipedian actually told me to do what I am contacting you about, and in a pertinent forum the only reply I received was from the Wikipedian who reverted my work, which I find inappropriate because you would think the forum is for receiving help from impartial seasoned users. I hope this doesn't look low class, but I have explained this issue so many times that I'm exhausted, so please forgive me for copying and pasting the way I presented the question in the forum today:
I'm a contributor to the Camille and Kennerly Kitt page. They have released several singles in MP3 format on iTunes and other similar sites, so a discography section was created, here: Camille and Kennerly Kitt#Discography. As you can see, the section includes release dates, the names of the tracks, and the harp duet type (acoustic or electric). Would it be acceptable to insert a link to the corresponding iTunes page next to each track name, since those iTunes pages are the ONLY way to support the release dates and tracks mentioned? Or would that be considered promotional? As we know, the contents of Wikipedia pages must have verifiable sources, and those iTunes links would be the only way to prove that the discography section is true. Here's one example: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/game-of-thrones-single/id551895996 Many thanks in advance for your time and help.
That's what I wrote there, Fraggle81. I would be extremely grateful if you could help me with this matter. Also, if you have any advice on how to stop the user who has suddenly taken control over the page by reverting edits, please let me know. Thank you very much. - If you don't mind, please take a look at the discussion, since I added what I believe is a good point regarding the discography section of the Lindsey Stirling page. Here's the discussion link. - Hello Dontreader, sorry about the lack of reply I've not been able to give this the attention it deserves as I'm in the middle of moving house. I will do my best to take a look if you still require help. I hope you don't mind me saying but this issue seems to be having a negative effect on you off wiki from what I have read - with regards to your sleep etc. When on Wiki issues are getting to that stage it might be time to take a wikibreak for the sake of your health and sanity. Labeling of reverts as vandalism that are not vandalsim.
This revert: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Normandy_landings&curid=252854&diff=574267949&oldid=574266378 did not revert vandalism, your user box "This user supports the English English language." makes me think you might have a bias when it comes to spelling, and altough I agree with you that the arbitrary changing of spellings from the brittish to the american is wrong, I do not agree that it is vandalism and when you label it as such it appears, to me at least, that you are trying to hide something. CombatWombat42 (talk) 16:12, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, firstly I would ask that you assume good faith when you are interacting with other editors. Yes I support the use of British English - not hiding that at all. As for the edit in question, I would of normally made such a revert as a good faith edit however I will have accidentally hit the V key on my keyboard rather than the G key while using STiki thus labeling as tests\vandalism rather than good faith.
I'm not sure how you think I could be hiding something since Wiki logs all edit actions - the Normandy Landings page has 203 watchers and countless other visitors so not exactly low profile.Fraggle81 (talk) 01:25, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
MacArthur Maze wrong name
Hello Fraggle81, My edits of the MacArthur Maze page were reverted. This was not a case of vandalism, but rather a correction of a poorly written page, referring to the wrong subject. The MacArthur Maze (I-580/I-980/CA SR-24) has been confused by many, including the author of the article, with the, "Bay Bridge Distribution Structure" (I-80/I-580/I880 interchange), otherwise known as, "The Maze", "The Triangle", and "The Emeryville Maze." I found that the correct page, "Bay Bridge Distribution Structure" had an improper redirect. I have corrected and copied the page back where it belongs, eliminating the redirect. I used a copy of the page as a template for re-writing the "MacArthur Maze" page. 946towguy (talk) 05:28, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hello, from what I can see you have changed the name of the interchange from the one given for the page title. Simply changing the name of the interchange within the article without properly renaming the article will end in confusion for the reader. Taking the issues to the talk page is the way to go, I see there is already some discussion there on similar matters.Fraggle81 (talk) 12:07, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
Messsage from IP editor
I am concerned about the revision to Sawbridgeworth - re the fluoroscope. I am afraid that this is A) of local interest as a cancer cluster waiting to happen, B) of interest to historians of the town as an example of how the town has anomalous features and C) of interest to historians of medical technology. I cannot cite a print reference, because as far as I am aware, it has never been discussed in print. I left a lengthy reasoning on the talk page, unlike other users who seem to never use it! And yet it is my post that got deleted! I'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense but right now I'm angry about people who seem to be whitewashing the history of my home town and dressing it up as a rural museum of "May Fayres" and some sort of "epicentre of WWII action". I'm just trying to restore some balance.
- It's not something that really belongs in an encyclopaedia though. Wikipedia doesn't go with original research WP:NOR. Also please don't leave a signature on edits you make to articles - they are for talk pages only. Fraggle81 (talk) 00:18, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
I left one message; not sure what happened to that ... I still don't understand the reversion. I have added numerous items to the history and geography of this page, and there don't seem to have been any problems. The piece I left is difficult to cite, since it is first hand eyewitness testimony (myself, I lived there 1970-1989 and intermittently for the next ten years. I believe it is A) of importance to local population and their health care providers, B) an unusual local curio and C) of interest to historians of medical technology.
Still not happy about the reversion but open minded enough to be convinced. If it can be explained that'd help.
- I moved it because you left it in the wrong place. I see this issue is now being dealt with on the articles talk page Fraggle81 (talk) 03:58, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Kosher page
I made a slight edit to the kosher page, which you reverted. Currently it makes a comment about bats being included in the list of forbidden birds even though bats are mammals. In my opinion, this comment is meant to lead people to the conclusion that the Torah is flawed because it includes a mammal in a list of forbidden birds. However, it is not a list of forbidden "birds" in the modern scientific classification, it is a list of forbidden flying animals. Just like whales are a forbidden sea creature, even though they are mammals. If anything, the current sentence should be removed because it is not constructive. At the very least, there should be an explanation given, which is what I attempted to do. I just want to explain that bats are included because they are a flying animal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.4.169 (talk) 03:39, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
- That edit was reverted for what was quite ridiculous censorship of the words peacock and peshitta. Wikipedia is not censored and changing words which aren't even considered vulgar just makes you look silly. Fraggle81 (talk) 03:53, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

September 2013:Military career of Muhammad (PBUH)
Assalam-o-Alikum,
The above expression is a way to greet in Arabic. It means " be mercy on you".This is a normal way of greeting for us Muslims. Also it seems to be a fine example for you to understand that our religion is about kindness and respect. Now let me please get to the topic about reverting the changes. I changed Muhammad (PBUH) and wrote that it is customary to write Peace Be Upon Him after every Prophets name. It was rather more respectful then customary. Please revert back your changes as it hurts the sentiments of not only Muslims but also of christians and jews as Hazrat Esa(Jesus) PBUH and Hazrat Moosa (Moses) PBUH are also our Prophets. Thankyou for your co-operation and I hope as you have mentioned in your page you are kind and good listener, you would understand the changes that I made.

I do not know how to start a new "talk" thing but you deleted the addition of a friend of mine from the Lassiter High School page. You state that he is not notable....but you have other actors listed there. There is an IMDB page for Mr. Dow and professional references as do the other people listed on the page. Please explain to me why you feel you can modify something like that because YOU may feel they are not notable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Unlvguy5 (talk • contribs) 10:38, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
- Lose the attitude please it isn't helpful to building an encyclopaedia. I along with you and anyone else that wants to can modify pretty much any thing they want to on this site which is kind of the whole idea as stated on the main page. If the person of which you speak is notable they will have their own Wikipedia page - he currently doesn't. IMDB is not necessarily a valid source of notability since that is also available to edit by anyone. If the article for this person is created and it isn't deleted after being assessed for notable then go ahead and add the link back in. Fraggle81 (talk) 14:10, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

Tartuffe
Hi there,
Thanks for your good work on the world's best encyclopaedia!
You recently undid a change I made to the English page of Tartuffe. I have had previous discussions about linking to this resource (see http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:COIBot/XWiki/tailoredtexts.com and http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overleg_gebruiker:EdBever/Archief/dec_2011 ). The external site being linked to is i) unlike the other external link in that it is a link to the original French text but with a large glossary of man-made English translations. ii) of big interest to anyone reading the original French but who speaks English (and who is therefore likely to be looking at the English wiki site). iii) unique as the resource allows for multiple translations of individual words/phrases and cannot therefore be said to be the same as one single translation iv)unique in that it also allows for literary and grammatical analysis in the margins. There is no other resource like this for Tartuffe.
Please can you let me know why you removed it.
Best regards,

About undoing my change on "Air purifier" article
Dear Fraggle81,
Please check the article about MERV rating ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimum_Efficiency_Reporting_Value ). According to that, the phrase "14 or above" (which is the one that I changed) means that the filter shall remove airborne particles of 0.3 micrometers or smaller, in contrast to what the article "Air purifier" claims. Therefore, that article should be corrected, either by replacing the phrase "remove airborne particles of 0.3 micrometers or larger" with the one I marked by Italic style, or by making the change I did. The latter choice is preferable because the value of 13 MERV rating defines an unambiguous lower bound about the filtered-out particles' size, making the phrase "13 or bellow are rated to remove airborne particles of 0.3 micrometers or larger" consistent with the article about MERV rating (under the assumption that that article is correct).

I would like to apologise in regards to the vandalism of the Wikipedia page "The Revolting World of Stanley Brown". I do suffer from hyperactivity and sometimes I can be a little bit idiotic.
However, I feel as if you should not have deleted the quote on poor ratings as this is true.

City As School
City As School is an alternative high school in NYC. It might be helpful for parents reading this entry to know that this alternative school provides the tools to achieve a higher education. Famous people are sexy to read about but doesn't assist families with a failing or troubled student in making a real choice in their child's education. It would be constructive if the alumni list referred to other college graduates. Wendy Prince — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wendyellenprince (talk • contribs) 15:05, 27 October 2013 (UTC)
- Wikipedia operates a policy of notability which is why there are lists of famous people. If every college graduate added their name to these lists they would be huge. Adding your own name to the page appears to be a vanity edit or an attempt at advertising neither of which are acceptable. Fraggle81 (talk) 18:36, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi this is Courtney Eastman. As requested by me and MY HUSBAND, we do not feel it's appropriate to have ANY info on Julie Strain in his personal life, it was a long time ago, and way too much is on there, say a sentence or two if you feel it necessary. Hola, thank you for alerting me of your reversion of my edit Niggas in Paris. I actually disagree with your decision - the section I edited covers remixes and freestyles, and I think frequent performances by what is perhaps Germany's most successful rapper at the moment clearly warrants inclusion. --Simon Columbus (talk) 23:43, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
List of Kings of Swaziland
Hi I saw your reversal of my edit in List of Kings of Swaziland . I changed the year of establishment from 1780 to 1745 because that is the beginning of the rule of Ngwane III who is considered the first King. His death however is in 1780 when Ndvungunye becomes the king. I can point you towards all literature which shows that the mid 1700s are the widely accepted date of establishment. I also added that Sobhuza I is also known as Ngwane IV this is well known and a non-issue.

129.100.254.158 on UWO
Hello, I saw that you had reverted changes from User_talk:129.100.254.158 before on the University_of_Western_Ontario page. I see that this user has made two recent edits:
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=University_of_Western_Ontario&action=history
To my eye, they don't look right, but I can't back it up. The change in enrolment numbers seem to be taken out of thin air, as I can't see that number in the linked PDF. And the missing sorority doesn't have any reference.
My inclination is just to revert, but I can't say 100% that the edit is incorrect. Can you help?

Predictably irrational
I don't make too many edits to Wikipedia, sorry for the gap in getting back on this. Predictably Irrational has a link to an iOS app in the sidebar that goes to a 404 page. My edit from September 12, 2013 was indeed minor, but necessary to ensure users going to the page get the app and not a 404 page. I've verified the change myself just now - the current link is bad, whereas my edit links to the companion app to the text. The link I provided routes to a forwarder created by the publisher of the app, a link I found after searching around the 404 page I reached via Wikipedia. An alternate link directly from the book's website is [[2]]. Thanks for keeping Wikipedia vandalism free, but I believe my correction was valid and improved the article, albeit in a minor way. If you still disagree, let me know why - I'd like to get better at this.

I am sure if you would really like to check the legitimacy of my change that you would find this confirmation on Toby Evans status as being a newly signed halfback to the parramatta eels NRL club on their website. I appreciate that he does not yet have his own Wikipedia page, however I am a die hard parramatta fan and am in the process of doing so now. With all respect may I suggest that you conduct a simple google search on topics such as the one I posted yesterday before diving straight in to undoing other people's work.

Walt Disney World Incidents, March 2013 edit
I updated the article to include information for concluded court cases which the article said were still pending. A dollar amount for damages sought was wrong in the article by a factor of 1000. I posted sources for all updated information. Your revert vandalized the article by reintroducing outdated and incorrect information, and you failed to validate the need for the revert. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.1.120.32 (talk) 18:55, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
- That particular edit does not constitute vandalism in any way. I'm guessing you haven't read my user page or the page linked to at the top of this one on my reasons for reversion? Perhaps assuming good faith in this matter and surmising that it was just an error would of been the correct way to go rather than making unfounded accusations of vandalism. I have tried to add to the page on Joe Meek but it keeps getting deleted. We are a members society and some of our members recorded for Joe Meek. I do not understand the problem. Please check this link which I have tried to add on Wikipedia http://rgmapprecationsociet.wix.com/rgmas — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timms36 (talk • contribs) 00:27, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
Question
You have this sentence written on your page and I was wondering about it. I have a question about it? "I always do my best to be polite, friendly and helpful so when corresponding with me please do the same." Speling12345 (talk) 2:28, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hello, what is your question? Fraggle81 (talk) 04:03, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
Hi. I work at Samuel Merritt University. I just posted our factbook on our page. Why did you remove it? Judi_wiki Judi wiki (talk) 19:21, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
URGENT VANDALISM TO FLO RIDA WIKI PAGE
Hello, Some vandalist removed all mentions of FLO RIDA song for charity BOOTY ON THE FLOOR he did with Marc Mysterio. Can this edit be reverted as it was highly publicized and well sourced.
Can you please go back to a previous version of FLO RIDA page from august 2013 and re-add these well sourced info on the song and release? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.107.8.27 (talk) 20:45, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
