Fivegalloncan is the brainchild of Dave Alexander. Originally conceived as a zine in London 2001, Alexander has since gone on to make music videos and documentaries under this banner. In 2005 Paul McConnell joined Alexander and the pair have made music videos for The Milk Teeth and Mr B Gentleman Rhymer and have recently moved into more digital regions, working with processing, web and sound.

Dave Alexander graduated from UCA's (then Surrey Institute of Art and Design) Film and Video BA in 2000. His graduation film Obedience about Stanley Milgram's experiments won awards at Raindance and Brief Encounters. He worked in TV within art departments on productions for the BBC and MTV and is not a Video Production lecturer at Sussex Downs College. He has made documentaries on topics as diverse as Lupus and disability to the bull running in Pamplona. HIs music video credits include promos for Mr. B The Gentleman Rhymer, Brakes, The Milk Teeth, My Psychoanalyst and Envelopes. He is currently undertaking study into more digital means of delivering film and sourcing audiences on an MSC Digital Media Production at University of Brighton.Fivegalloncan (talk) 14:13, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
