Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Elsa Strauss, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.
If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! KoA (talk) 21:10, 7 November 2024 (UTC)

Santjordia pagesi moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Santjordia pagesi. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Wikishovel (talk) 12:50, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
New species articles
[edit]Hello Elsa, welcome to Wikipedia editing. I have added a source to the Santjordia pagesi draft article and restored it to main-space where it can continue to be worked on. As the genus Santjordia is currently considered monotypic, the article has been moved to the genus title.
If you are planning on creating further marine species articles, it is wise to check that the species is currently accepted. In this case, the species was accepted by the World Registry of Marine Species (WoRMS), but other subjects (eg. Anguiculus dicaprioi) that are sourced to the original paper may be WP:TOOSOON for an article until they are picked up by an authoritative taxonomic database (such as the Reptile Database). Further information can be found on the associated project pages such as WP:AAR for amphibians and reptiles, or WP:MARINELIFE for marine species other than fish.
Do not hesitate to ask if you have any further editing questions. 'Cheers, Loopy30 (talk) 03:55, 9 November 2024 (UTC)

Please add reliable sources to edits
[edit]A more useful and likely to be accepted edit to volcano might have a simple accurate statement...Mars also has volcanoes<ref>...</ref>. The rest of the statement as you wrote it is unlikely to be verifiable at this time. ChaseKiwi (talk) 09:44, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- True. Elsa Strauss (talk) 09:49, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Tweaked. Some other editor in due course if article ever gets a clean up in attempt to get good article status will move references in lead to later in text as you do not need to repeat yourselves in lead. But the reference you got was from a trusted source and covers the point better for the general audience than other references in article already in my personal opinion. Border Collie Kelpie hybrid dogs moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Border Collie Kelpie hybrid dogs, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - Thank you. I was trying to draft it. Elsa Strauss (talk) 19:00, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
