Hello I had a question. I have created this article Akshardham (Delhi) and was wondering if you could translate the article into Gujarati on the Gujarati Wikipedia. I have noticed you are active on Gujarati Wikipedia and thought you could help. If you can't please tell me who can. Also, if you do translate it add the link on to the English Wikipedia page for Akshardham. Thank you    Juthani1   tcs 22:57, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, don't worry abput translating the entire article, just the main parts    Juthani1   tcs 22:57, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UK Community Notice - IRC meeting

[edit]

Dear Wikipedian,

This is the first of what will hopefully be a regular notice to help bring together the UK community so that you can be involved in some amazing things. To kick things off, there will be a UK community IRC meeting at 1800 UTC, December 7, 2010 to discuss the future growth and developement of Wikimedia UK. Without huge community support and involvement, the chapter cannot be successful and to get the most out of it, get involved.

For information on the community IRC meeting please go here

More to come about:

  • Wikipedia 10th Anniversary Events
  • 1st Annual UK Wiki-conference
  • Trustee interest meeting - an event for those community members with even just a fleeting interest in becoming trustees of Wikimedia UK.

Many Thanks

The Wikipedia Library Survey

[edit]

As a subscriber to one of The Wikipedia Library's programs, we'd like to hear your thoughts about future donations and project activities in this brief survey. Thanks and cheers, Ocaasi t | c 15:46, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article is under restrictions. You may not make substantial changes without achieving consensus at the article talk page. Please do not edit-war or make any personal remarks about other editors there either. --John (talk) 19:19, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What personal remarks and edit wars are you talking about? Is it not evident that the references I have quoted justifies the fact that I have mentioned on the article? Is it in a personal interest of a group of people who want to hide some substantial facts and misrepresent the sources?-- DhavalTalk 12:41, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's a good example of the kind of thing I am talking about. Just stick to presenting your sources in talk and discussing them dispassionately, please. --John (talk) 15:48, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So, John, can I revert the two posts in question without incurring your wrath, or not? -Roxy the dog™ (resonate) 17:23, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you John. Hi Roxy the dog™, I would request you and John, both to review the edits I have made. Please point me out to the section that I deleted from the lead, as I am sure that I haven't. If I correct some facts and remove duplication of the phrase from appearing in consecutive 2 paragraphs, I am sure that it should not cause any edit war. The statement stating Ayurveda has no scientific evidence to cure any disease still remains on the page. Please take some time to read the rephrased lead and check the references that I have cited. If you find them baseless, feel free to remove if not, please be courageous and let them be there.-- DhavalTalk 21:12, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
