Welcome

[edit]

Hello, DrPacella, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created was Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Dr. Salvatore Pacella, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Dr. Salvatore Pacella. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. User names -- don't name yourself after a real person

[edit]

Hi,

If you are not Dr. Pacella, you should not be using this as a user name on Wikipedia. This will have the advantage or removing the apparent conflict of interest, also. You are including a lot of trivial information about this doctor, and you are using inappropriate sources, such as YouTube. You should really think that this is an encyclopedia article. If it would not be in an encyclopedia, don't include the information. This isn't a resume, it's information that is notable about a person. Is it really notable that he passed up on playing college football? You can make a leaner and nicer article that looks more professional if you just state the facts and remove the fluff.

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "DrPacella", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you.

Moving pages

[edit]

While your submission is in the AfC process, there is no reason for you to move that page. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:45, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't aware that I had moved my page! :) Should I delete something? Thank you! DrPacella (talk) 21:07, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@DrPacella and InnoWikipedia: On second thought, it looks like I made a mistake. You made a copy of your submission. We now have two versions: Draft talk:Salvatore Pacella which has a history and Draft:Salvatore Pacella which is your copy. Ultimately whichever you prefer to keep is the one we'll use. You can request that one is deleted and the other will be moved/kept at Draft:Salvatore Pacella which is where the submission belongs.
Also, while the DrPacella user and talk pages have been moved you're still using the DrPacella instead of the InnoWikipedia account, which you haven't used for months. Please abandon the Pacella account and edit with the InnoWikipedia account. Chris Troutman (talk) 21:31, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Chris Troutman:I have logged into my InnoWikipedia account, sorry for the confusion! The only other question I have is how do I request to delete the Draft talk:Salvatore Pacella? Thank you so much for your help with this! InnoWikipedia (talk) 21:38, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Ric Militi.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ric Militi.jpeg, which you've attributed to http://innovisionnow.com/team/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 22:15, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
