SPI help
So Levanven60, whom I asked you about last time, was globally locked, and a new user has been restoring their edits. But I don't know if the other behavioural patterns actually match. Could you take a look and maybe weigh in on the issue at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Unserefahne? Thanks. --Paul_012 (talk) 07:04, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Paul 012: 100% (one-hundred percent) him, I'm not allowed to comment there because I once used an emoji in my signature. He made the same disruptive edits at the Wikimedia Commons as he usually does. Such a shame to see his articles here get deleted as he made them about several people that we don't have many English speaking people interested in creating, but it is him, he made categories like "Literature of Imperial Annam" and "Literature of South Vietnam" and then incompetently added them to files where they don't belong.
- What I don't get is how someone can still be this incompetent after over a decade of editing here, he didn't get indefinitely blocked for socking he got blocked for incompetence. Like, how is this level of incompetence even possible?! --Donald Trung (talk) 07:28, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Paul 012:, tips on this user.
- He is really bad at sourcing, sometimes he provides reliable sources but even then his interpretation of those sources is often flawed.
- He is obsessed with adding non-sensical categorisation wherever he goes.
- He often writes about Vietnamese subjects, according to the Vietnamese-language Wikipedia he's a Monarchist Fascist, but lately he's been adding a lot of pro-Democracy things and historically he seemed vocally pro-Communist, so his politics is all over the place, but whatever his political opinion at the time is shines heavily through his edits.
- His main style of editing can be summed up as "Take what I say at face value", once he started deleting something he added years ago claiming that it's historically inaccurate, I then asked for sources and then he kept leaving messages telling me that I should commit suicide and have sex with my mother. He also serially sexually harassed another user here and left images of penises on her talk page and re-wrote her userpage to implies that she regularly engages in sexual relationships (promiscuity) re-writing her hobbies as "sucking dicks" and "riding dicks". This is the type of wonderful experiences you can expect heading your way from him.
- He is actually intelligent, but he behaves so incompetently that he's indistinguishable from someone who is the opposite, plus he often attacks people who well intentionally try to correct him and explain to him how to be a better contributor.
- He largely ignores literally everyone until he's blocked, then he starts writing insults. His style of communication can best be summed up as "dismissing plus insulting", if he tries to approach a party to request help from them he will often insult them as well, for example he kept insisting that a Chinese user knew nothing of Chinese culture, while requesting him to change an image.
- Overall I like his additions, both articles and images (though he sucks at understanding basic copyright law), which is why I think that it's a shame that his articles will get deleted. --Donald Trung (talk) 13:14, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
