[edit]The philosophy you're proposing is called m:inclusionism and is something of a minority viewpoint. I just thought I'd give you that link to look at, so you could see other people's thinking on such issues. There are a bunch of contrasting "Wikipedian philosophy" articles linked from it that you could also look at. I myself believe that the best strategy for any article depends on sometimes-subtle specifics of the particular article and topic being considered. Phr (talk) 04:19, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Semi-protection
[edit]Adding a tag to a page does not semi-protect it. Only administrators can semi-protect pages. Please see Wikipedia:Requests for page protection if you need a page semi-protected. Thank you. Jesse Viviano 06:06, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks did not know that. When the tag actually appeared on the page I assumed that normal editors could semi-protect while an admin would do full protection. Will make note of that information. Diemunkiesdie 06:14, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Even if you didn't actually semi-protect the page, at the moment that tag appeared I was deeply impressed--had no idea such a thing was possible for an ordinary joe to do--and it stopped that runaway train, didn't it? Darkspots 06:31, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hah yes, I assumed it would at least scare him into stopping.Diemunkiesdie 06:33, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

{{db-bio}} and {{db-attack}}
[edit]Just a tip: when it is obvious that the content of an article is diffamatory, it is better to use {{db-attack}} instead of {{db-bio}}. The latter is OK when the content is only non-notable. I think that admins look db-attack faster than db-bio, because they are easy to argue. Rjgodoy 09:05, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
PS: You are doing a good job helping to clean wikipedia :) Rjgodoy 09:06, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip. I can't remember which article I should have used {{db-attack}} instead of {{db-bio}} but I'll be sure to remember next time it is necessary. Thanks! Diemunkiesdie 09:35, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

SYTYCD Taped/Live
[edit]In the top right corner of the screen during the results show, the label "LIVE" appears, and on the west coast, a sentence noting that the program was previously recorded later appears along the bottom of the screen. If the performance show was live, the same labeling would be applied. I am not certain where the "two days before" bit of information came from—I suppose it's not terribly important how far in advance the shows are taped—but the performance shows are definitely pre-taped.
