Speedy deletion nomination of Sarah-Jane Hilliard
[edit]Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Sarah-Jane Hilliard, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Amsaim (talk) 17:13, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Sarah-Jane Hilliard. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Uncle Dick (talk) 17:14, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Deleted page
[edit]I've deleted your article due to concerns that it constituted an attack. I read your comments about why it should be deleted, however I still feel the article was so slanted against the subject it just about qualified as an attack page. In this context, I suggest you don't repost the same article. In order for the article to be kept you would have to satisfy a number of criteria including:
- Neutral Point of View,
- Verifiability,
- Biography of Living Persons (relating to a single event),
- Notability.
While a rewrite could possibly satisfy the Neutral Point of View and Verifiability criteria, I personally doubt that it would satisfy Biography of Living Persons (relating to a single event) and Notability. Consequently you may well find that a Wikipedia article for this subject may not be possible. PhilKnight (talk) 17:28, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Sarah-Jane Hilliard
[edit]A tag has been placed on Sarah-Jane Hilliard requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I'm an administrator here on Wikipedia, and I've reviewed your article and your complaint. The article, Sarah-Jane Hilliard, has been deleted appropriately. For reasons explained above, it does not belong in this encyclopedia. The top of your talk page contains links to more information about Wikipedia and our operating philosophy. If you read them, you will hopefully come to a better understanding of what we're about and why we deleted your article. Best wishes, Rklawton (talk) 19:02, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
Start again?
[edit]Look, you've had a really rough day for your first on Wikipedia. I hate to see that happen to anyone and I will be happy to try to help in any way I can. My first couple of article attempts were deleted in less time than it took to write them, so I know how frustrating that can be. It's obvious you're trying hard to understand how things get evaluated here, and that you are interested in building an encyclopedia. Those are two excellent qualities. Other than restoring the deleted article (which I can't do anyway since I'm not an admin) how can I help you feel welcome?

That message may be a good start, but it is from a template, so it's not personal. Please feel free to ask me personally to help you find your way if you'd like.--otherlleft 20:02, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
