Commercial use of Image:FCMdrug.svg
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:FCMdrug.svg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:FCMdrug.svg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:FCMdrug.svg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 11:16, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Whoops. I don't know, how that has happened. I didn't look into this page for some time. So the picture ist gone. You can get the PNG from http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:FCMdrug520.png (the license in the german Wikipedia is "cc-by") and extract a SVG from http://www.hrir.eu/FCMdrug.pdf. --DL5MDA (talk) 21:17, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
No problem. I still think though that the relationship between economic inequality and participation in a democracy should be its own section rather than being put in the "Arguments that inequality is not a primary concern" section.radek (talk) 21:52, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- I agree as also mentioned in the discussion. Just go on - while I probably go to bed ;-) It's 11 p.m. here. --22:05, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

42 Articles
[edit]Yes and no. Not around #27: it's essentially a restatement of a very early controversy in the Church, the Donatist issue, while also being wary of how conformist the ministers were. Around 42, yes: Frederick Denison Maurice's firing from King's springs to mind, and it was a relatively major issue for some others. I hope that's a good starting point for you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mgriffin (talk • contribs) 01:40, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- As for the number 27, Mgriffin was referring to Article 27 (https://snrk.de/page_the-bakers-42-boxes/notes-on-the-39-articles-and-the-42-articles/#27_41_42) in Thomas Cranmer's Forty-Two Articles.
- As for the number 42, I updated (a couple of years ago) the article "The Hunting of the Snark" with a reference to Karen Gardiner's paper "Life, Eternity, and Everything: Hidden Eschatology in the Works of Lewis Carroll", July 2018, The Carrollian (31): 25–41. ISSN 1462-6519. --DL5MDA (talk) 10:21, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
Le Cholera image from "Le Petit Journal"
[edit]Hello, DL5MDA -
In January, you edited a drawing taken from a Le Petit Journal supplementary publication and used to illustrate the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cholera.jpg .
The original uploader, Folcrum, seems to be gone from WP. They posted a description to the image that states:
Drawing about the Cholera in Le Petit Journal. Uploaded from [1]. More than 100 years, public domain. (from: en.wikipedia.org)
There's no further citation given: no date, no issue number, no repository given. Since you expressed such an interest in this image, have you followed up on this? When zooming the image, it seems to be from December 1912, but it's difficult to verify this due to the poor resolution. If 1912 is the correct year, then the image isn't "More than 100 years".
What have your researches revealed about this image? A citation is definitely needed. Thanks for your help. Wordreader (talk) 02:45, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- As far as I remember, I just did some technical work: The image was tilted and I corrected that. Happy new year --DL5MDA (talk) 07:42, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Hoover Index, Robin Hood Index
[edit]Hoover Index and Robin Hood Index are both the same, so shouldn't we merge both articles for the sake of concision? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.125.139.18 (talk) 03:17, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
- Initially I also thought they are the same. Perhaps those two members in that huge zoo of indices are *not* the same. I am not active in WP right now and can't follow up on this. --DL5MDA (talk) 08:16, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
"An Easter Greeting"
[edit]Hi. I was wondering if you had a RS for the "printing at his own expense" part of your recent edit? I agree that the Easter Greeting is important. :) I would also appreciate your thoughts on where the "... And if I have written anything to add to those stores of innocent and healthy amusement that are laid up in books for the children I love so well, it is surely something I may hope to look back upon without shame and sorrow (as how much of life must then be recalled!) when my turn comes to walk through the valley of shadows. ..." quote should go or how to best incorporate it into the text, as on its own, it is a bit confusing. Large quotes usually tend not to go in the lead, which is supposed to be a summary of the article. Sorry...
Thank you, Rapunzel-bellflower (talk) 01:29, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. The greeting has been inserted into the 1st print of the book only. http://www.alephbet.com/pages/books/33979/lewis-carroll/hunting-of-the-snark-with-an-easter-greeting-to-every-child also could mean, that only a small part of the 1st edition includes the greeting. --DL5MDA (talk) 06:51, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
- Ooooh. Whoops. That makes a difference now, doesn't it? :) As for the 1st edition, Martin Gardner speculates that, because many of the 1st editions have the greeting, it's a possibility that all of them had it at one point. Thanks for the clarification! Rapunzel-bellflower (talk) 16:29, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't really know, because the alephbet.com page and Gardner's assumptions don't really match. As for the Snark, there are lots of speculations, including Gardener's and mine. Probably Carroll and Holiday intentionally created a that speculation generator :-) Whatsoever, I got one of those 1st edition books and once it will be in the mailbox, I'll take a picture of those pages which have been inserted into the book after it was printed. --DL5MDA (talk) 20:42, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 22
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Hunting of the Snark, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bonnet. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
