Region Karvinsko

Region Karvinsko includes area then division Karviná now. Division Karviná was found in the year 1960 and belonged country Czechoslovakia. Surfare of region 347 km sq was the smallest, but this region was one of the most populous. Karvinsko includes 7 cities – Karviná, Havířov, Bohumín, Český Těšín, Orlová, Petřvald, Rychvald and 9 villages – Albrechtice, Dětmarovice, Dolní Lutyně, Doubrava, Horní Suchá, Chotěbuz, Petroviče u Karviné, Stonava and Těrlicko. We can find unique archeological site – hradisko in Chotěbuzi – Podoboře, which was settled in iron epoch. This place is one of the best proved in the Czech republic. Sportsmen can to use cycling tracks, visit barrage in Těrlicko or go to Beskyd´s mountains for tourism. Don´t forget on sense city of Karviná as a bath´s city. There tradition of baths heads for date about 1862, when was discovered iodine – bromine water. This water is used for medication´s purposes in the Baths Darkov and in the Rehabilitatives institution up to this day. Karviná is academic city since the 1990 too. There is seatting Business faculty Silesian university of Opava. This city is belongs to Euroregion Těšín Silesian.
