- Hello Meopa, who is "we" in this context?
- Also, it would make this huge list rather easier to handle if you were to remove, or separate out, things that would not be considered independent reliable sources by Wikipedia's standards. Such as, blogspot, linkedin, rateyourmusic, lastfm, wordpress, and anything similar. On the other side of the fence, Variety at least is considered a reliable source on entertainment topics. Woman artist
Hi Cullen, I am editing a Wikipage for a woman artist who passed away last year. I think I have a good start and would like to invite others in her community to help me complete the page with their info and photos. How do I go about inviting them? I'm completely new to this! Thanks, Nancy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nmsart (talk • contribs) 19:31, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Page deletion warning and deletion of photos
11/20/16 Hi Jim, well after all my hard work, Marchjuly is accusing me of not owning my own photos -- photos that I took, did the artwork on, etc. I'm really feeling persecuted and quite frankly getting really angry. I offered to send him the original tiff photos and working files. I also offered him an affidavit by Tunberg saying they belong to me.Cstwct (talk) 23:39, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
11/20/16 Thank you very much. Your advice is invaluable. I completely redid the page, taking out the external links. I actually found some articles that refer to Tunberg's projects and was able to cite the newspaper or magazine. Not so for several others that were major commissions with phenomenal work. The only proof that exists are actual photos of the artwork, but I took those external links out also and just left the text. Is it OK to include a few external links? I also took out his bio and put a lot of that information into the text with references. Again thank you, thank you. We'll see what happens.Cstwct (talk) 20:56, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
11/17/16 Thank you, Jim. Cstwct (talk) 04:51, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
11/16/16 Hi Jim,
I finally found where to talk directly to my reviewers, thanks to you and your instructions. Click Talk on the left side (not the right), then click New Section. Hopefully I'll be able to resolve these issues directly. Cstwct (talk) 14:08, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
11/15/16 Hi Jim,
I'm new at this. I created the Wikipedia page William Tunberg (artist). Shortly thereafter, I received a warning saying that it was flagged for deletion because of lack of cites and not linking to other pages in Wikipedia. I spent days revising the article and citing. I pulled out boxes, scanned, read old magazines and reviews and cited almost everything. I went through and linked to other Wikipedia pages (tons of links). When I finished, I read the instructions with the template that said I could delete if the problems are fixed. I deleted and this morning the template saying it's a candidate for deletion came back. That the page will be discussed and a consensus reached. I left several messages for the reviewer to please re-review and haven't heard back. I don't know if the reviewer is seeing my messages.
Also, I uploaded a photo of Tunberg and used the non-free method. It was deleted. I used the free method because I'm one of the owners and it got deleted for copyright violation. I left a message in the free Wiki section but haven't received a response.
How do I get that warning off the page? How do I get the photos up without problems? All I get are vague messages. I'm unfamiliar with the layout of Wikipedia so I don't know how I can directly communicate with the reviewers who are deleting me to understand specifically what they want me to do.
Thank you. CamilleCstwct (talk) 03:20, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Cstwct: Hello. When an article is listed at Articles for Deletion, you must not remove that notice until the debate has been completed. Removing that notice repeatedly is considered disruptive editing, so please do not do that again.
- As for uploading a photo, you can only do that if you are the indisputable copyright holder, and are willing to release the photo under a Creative Commons license. If you do not hold the copyright, then the copyright holder (and no one else) must freely license the image, in writing, in a legally acceptable form. We do not allow a non-free photo of a living person since a free photo is always possible. This is a free content project. But I would not worry about the photo when the article itself is nominated for deletion. I suggest that you put the photo on the back burner.
- The body of this article is filled with external links that appear to be references, but are not. All of these external links should either be transformed into properly formatted references or removed. Do this promptly if you want to save this article. Please read Referencing for beginners and follow its recommendations.
- The most important thing for you to do is to demonstrate in the text of the article that this person meets our notability guideline for artists. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 03:54, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, Cullen328. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Hi Jim.
Thank you for taking a look at Draft:LedgerLite. I don't have any control over the sources I have linked to in the Reviews section. These were unsolicited. The first four links in the Reference section are also unsolicited and outside my control. I have not sought to promote LedgerLite apart from its website and the social media channels, Facebook and YouTube.
However I believe the software is notable for the reason that it's simpler than most other accounting software yet it's still being used by organisations in many different countries and has been for the last eleven years. We have plenty of information on our website to support this but (of course) our website is not an independent source. Unfortunately a simple piece of software is unlikely to ever attract the attention of the mainstream media or academia. In any case, thank you for taking the time to look at the article I wrote.

Like you have said that i am disclosing off too much personal information.I read the guidelines for junior editors.Thank you for that ill change my user page in no time. What do you think is best for my user page?Harrison-Montsho (talk) 22:19, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Harrison-Montsho: Welcome to Wikipedia. I recommend that you describe some of your Wikipedia editing interests and goals as an editor. Mentioning your country of residence is fine as well, and maybe some personal hobbies. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 23:08, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
Adminship
I think I've asked you about this before, but I was once again wondering if you would be interested in running for adminship. Your pre-RfA poll gave you a ~99% chance of passing, which, I believe, is the highest chance anyone has ever received. As I'm sure you know, RfA continues to produce fewer and fewer admins, and it looks like 2016 will witness a sharp drop in the number of admins produced. I decided that I would try to help out, so I started searching for promising users to nominate. You were at the top of the list.
Looking at your history, I see that you have 7 years of experience, 44,000 edits, dozens of articles created with hundreds more improved, a 91% AfD accuracy rate, and a clean block log with an extensive history of civility and helping new users. Therefore, I cannot imagine how you could possibly fail.
So, if you wish to do so, I would be more than happy to start your RfA page and write a nomination statement. Before that, however, I would prefer that you write your answers to the three standard questions (assuming that you choose to run, of course), which you can either post on my talk page or email to me (although I must be notified if you send me an email). You may also wish to find a good co-nominator, preferably an admin that is quite familiar with you and your work. Biblio (talk) 00:22, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Biblioworm: While I would be happy to put a wager on such an RfA topping WP:RFX200, ultimately, it's up to Cullen328 to decide if he wants the hassle of being an administrator. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:31, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

i am new at wikipedia and i saw a article "kathiawari" horse. it is totally wrong information about it, i am researcher of kathiawari horse and owing kathiawari horse. i am from local area where this breed are found but have more information than who is from other country trying to edit this article. when i try to edit article some users who even have not seen kathiawari horse are in his life time reedit my information, so is there any solution. another problem is that i am poor in english so i can not fully express my information. so i beg you for help — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aniruddhbhaidhadhal (talk • contribs) 05:18, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Aniruddhbhaidhadhal: Hello. You really should discuss your proposed changes at Talk: Kathiawari. That is a Good article which has gone through a careful review. Discuss your changes with Montanabw, who is one of our very best editors on horse related topics. A Wikipedia article should summarize what the best quality published reliable sources say about the topic, and it makes no difference what part of the world an editor lives in. So focus on citing sources that back up the changes you want to make. Other editors can help improve your English prose if good references verify your proposed additions. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 05:39, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

Reference and footnote problem
Hi Jim, I wish you a progressive holiday, unusually coinciding with another significant holiday! My article cite is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Rush_Alzheimer%27s_Disease_Center&action=edit
No matter how I try, I can't seem to fix the last comment that I am incorrectly writing the final footnote. I am completely new to Wikipedia as a submitter, although I am a long-time user and donor (although I do find some biases, particularly in articles dealing with religion and international relations).
In any case, I think I have followed exactly the same format as the other references. I have tried cutting and pasting, read the instructions time and time again, and no luck.
I submitted my article in "draft" so as not to be arrogant, and I requested help in the Sandbox, but I am sure there are thousands of other authors who need support as well.
Thank you in advance!

Hi! Could I ask for help with Rob Adams (author) page?
Hi Jim- I am writing to ask for your help! I saw on your user page that you encourage questions, so I hope this is appropriate... I am new to Wikipedia, and as I discover more, I find it increasingly complex and a bit overwhelming! I see that you have a wealth of experience and have commented on the Articles for Deletion page for my article. I was hoping to ask for your help. I have edited the specific sentence that you commented on, and also added multiple references to support the facts of the article. I haven't made a comment in the Articles for Deletion page as I am not clear on the best approach to note my edits, or defend my article? I was also going to note that the book New Venture Creation is in its 10th edition, which I think is significant.
I am sure that you must be incredibly busy, but I would appreciate any assistance or expertise that you could offer me in preserving my article.
Thank you very much for your consideration! -Grace Huang
PS I am not exactly sure how to watch for a response from you, so here is my email address just in case: gracephoto@gmail.com THANKS!
Gracephoto (talk) 15:34, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Gracephoto: Hello Grace. I suggest that you read the excellent essay Your first article. Please realize that references to independent sources are required to show notability. Most of your references are not independent of Adams. I cannot overstress the importance of this. In the specific case of Adams, if he is notable, it is either as an author or as an academic. Please read our notability guideline for authors and our notability guideline for academics, and be prepared to demonstrate that Adams meets either or both of them. Independent reviews in reliable sources of New Venture Creation would be far more useful than the number of printed editions, which is not evidence that Adams is notable. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 01:47, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Cullen328: Thanks for the quick response Jim! I will definitely read the article and also the guidelines that you sent me, and edit accordingly. Thank you for clarifying the subject of independent sources - I was really not clear on that... It makes much more sense to me now. Thanks so much - this is so helpful :) Gracephoto (talk) 14:15, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

Updating Entry
Hello Cullen328. Thank you so very sincerely for your response in the Teahouse two weeks back. I apologize for the delay in re-connecting. My perspective is as you described - to improve the encyclopedia. What is your recommended approach to move forward? Is it appropriate to make the changes currently shown on the COSA Talk page directly to the article page once I incorporate the formatting revisions provided by Maproom on 25 October 2016? Then, once they appear on the article page, defer to experienced editors for any additional guidance or revisions? Or, is there another approach to receive guidance from experienced editors before updating the article page? Either way, I have never edited an article page before. If there are there specific Wikipedia guidelines that you'd recommend I review before proceeding? Thank you for your time, input, and friendly approach to communication.K.Emanuele (talk) 14:50, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
Environmental Law Student Articles
Hi Jim,
You were the online ambassador for my course https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_Program:University_of_San_Francisco/Environmental_Law_(Spring_2013) for a couple of years (you even came and talked to my class!) I am teaching it again this semester and was wondering if you would be willing to take a look at some of my student's articles? They have just gone live and we'll be meeting to talk about them this Saturday. It is really useful for them to know that there are Wikipedia editors out there paying attention to what they are doing.
The articles can be found [[1]] In any case, many thanks for all your help in the past. Aaron Aarf613 (talk) 21:42, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

Tea house citation discussion Thank you for working with me. I was attempting to edit a controversial page creep catchers. I felt it was very one sided and bias. Some editors have been very helpful some not so much. I only made changes that I felt I had appropriate cites and sources for at that time I only added 4. I did feel my changes were neutral and reflected what the media had reported I redid my original edits as I thought I was not following the style manual or citing properly. My second edits where undone once I felt I had made the required changes and then was told I was being non neutral and malformed and asked to get consensus on the talk page. There were no entries on the talk page for this page, however tried to put my explanations there but had already been banned. The creep catcher page has been vandalized many times and perhaps as a result of trying to make so many major changes I had been banned too. The first editor to undo my changes came back after I reached out for help had said my source was poor and I needed sources for all changes and relied too heavily on one source it might be true but thought it was good information about the legalities of their activities. Generally the media opinion of Creep Catchers is negative how do I find sources that are to the contrary if there are none or already included in page? I did follow your link can I use those with out getting consensus from the talk page? I am working in my sandbox before I post to their talk page I have found many sources backing my statements and working with ideas of how I should best edit their page. I do believe my sources where reliable and was being neutral but was likely malformed 18:50, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Truthitmatters (talk)
- Hello Truthitmatters. Whenever your edits are reverted, and you still believe the information belongs in the article, you should discuss your concerns on the talk page. In this case, the proper place is Talk:Creep Catcher. Your edits must comply with our policies and guidelines, and yes, you need to gain consensus. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 06:30, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
Yes I just wanted to know how many cites I needed first because I want to do this right. when I tried to post my thoughts elsewhere some of my cites where flagged as being on the blacklist so redid all my cites as I was linking from search page rather than the direct source in my sandbox it seems fine but when I try to copy over to talk page my comments also get reverted. I am going to return to the tea house to find out how I can check to see if some of my links are still on the blacklist which may be preventing me to post Truthitmatters (talk) 16:38, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
Credible references?
Hi JIM,
I'm a new editor on Wikipedia. Most of the edits that I would like to make are for living artists in New York. Most are unknown and have little information on the Internet. The only "credible" resources are from popular music blogs and online magazine content. Are these sources considered reliable? May I just copy and paste text from these articles!
Thank you for your help, MC — Preceding unsigned comment added by Inertiacreep (talk • contribs) 23:01, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hello Inertiacreep. Very few blogs are considered reliable sources, and online magazines must have an established editorial staff and a reputation for accuracy. When you say that these people are "unknown", that is pretty much equivalent to saying that they are not notable and therefore not eligible for a Wikipedia article. Please read notability guideline for artists. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 23:14, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
- Copying and pasting from sources is a copyright violation and is not allowed. You must write original content in your own words which summarizes the sources. Brief attributed quotes in quotation marks are OK. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 23:18, 11 December 2016 (UTC)

Updating Link References - First Time Editor
Hi Jim, I am a first time editor trying to find my way :). I work for a company that split into two separate companies and we have a lot of old outdated links to materials from the old company that have been updated since becoming the new company. I am trying to figure out how to best go in and update some of these links without violating any rules. The old company is still hosting some of our old content just because we didn't want to have dead links so I am in the process of linking to the new content prior to having the content deleted off the old servers. I don't want to break any rules like conflict of interest, but obviously it could be interpreted that way. Can you tell me what the best way to go about this task would be? I can give you examples of what I'm trying to do if that will help. Thanks for any advise you can give me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jjchavez (talk • contribs) 17:55, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
- (by talk page stalker) @Jjchavez: Thanks for asking first! I'd recommend you put a statement on your user page announcing your conflict of interest. Then, post on the relevant article's talk page what changes you want to make. Assuming your employer wasn't used as a citation in any articles, there should be only a couple external links to the old websites. Those might have been superfluous so they could simply be removed. If there's no response on the talk page, you might just update the old URL to the new URL and we can revert if there's an issue with your edit, which there likely won't be. If you specify your exact situation we can give more concrete guidance. Chris Troutman (talk) 18:32, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hello Jjchavez. The first thing to do is comply with our Paid editing disclosure. Then, read our policy on conflict of interest. Let me know the names of the articles in question and I will take a look. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 18:36, 13 December 2016 (UTC)

I am new here and have made a very small edit to the information on my home town. I would like to do more in the future, but I will need to gather facts and verify them first. Typo
Do you think you could fix this typo here, where you got the surname wrong, and it may upset a certain paid editor and critic of Wikipedia? - 2601:42:C100:81D8:FD13:901A:FF4B:31CA (talk) 03:55, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

- That's interesting. Instead, you are discussing a "sex criminal" anonymously on my talk page, and the guy who openly discloses his real world identity (me) can make the correction for you. - Hello, Rockystar07. You need to show that this person meets our notability guideline for actors, by citing reliable sources. I do not have the expertise to quickly evaluate the reliability of Bollywood sources but I noticed that at least one of your sources is a gossip site which is not reliable. Format your references properly, and read Referencing for beginners for instructions on how to do so. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 17:16, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
The world must eat more salad
Hello Cullen328, and thank you for your excellent work in expanding Salade niçoise and documenting its defenders and its would-be adulterators. I would like to nominate it to appear in WP:Did you know? on the Main Page, as I believe it is eligible and also Template talk:Did you know does not contain any other salads.
I thought a suitable "hook" might be something like this: . . . that the mayor of Nice implored cooks to "never, never, I beg you, include boiled potato or any other boiled vegetable in your salade niçoise"?
I wonder what you think of this, or if you would prefer an alternative.
By my calculations, I would need to nominate it by Tuesday 20 December for it to be eligible. MPS1992 (talk) 19:36, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind words, MPS1992. Sure, feel free to nominate it. My only hesitation is that Jacques Medecin was a pretty unsavory guy, but facts are facts. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 20:42, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- This is very alarming. I had clicked on many links but had stupidly not thought to click on that one. I should have. I will consider further as to whether perhaps a different hook would be better. Thank you for pointing this out to me.
- A problem I have is that I do not speak or -- mostly -- understand French. The quote calling the fellow a "famously racist mayor" has a link to a web page saying "Page non trouvée" which even I know is the equivalent of "page has not been not found".
- Other alternatives are to mention the foul-mouthed Britisher Gordon Ramsey calling it the best of all summer salads, or to mention one of the more memorable wordings from the outcry after Darroze included potatoes and green beans. MPS1992 (talk) 21:22, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- MPS1992, feel free to suggest any hook you wish. Do you think that the article should mention that Jacques Medecin went to prison? I am leaning that way since he is such a major figure in the story of the salad. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 20:59, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- Yes I think that it should mention it. I have nominated the article with the original hook because I think it probably does not support his other views to mention his opinion. Although, from now on, I will probably ask for potatoes and beans in my salads. MPS1992 (talk) 22:57, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- It seems that at least one editor strongly disagrees with me! Oh well, it is nice to see the salad get some recognition anyway. MPS1992 (talk) 00:16, 20 December 2016 (UTC)

Hi Jim,
I believe I can write a neutral BIO with the help of WIKI people like yourself. As I said, the primary issue is that people who would write my BIO don't have the technical know-how to post it. Another issue is "Notability." I'm not what sure makes someone notable exactly, but I've listed some of the exposure I've gotten lately - I can provide links and references:
Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman, Ralph Nader Radio Hour, Huff Post Live, Chris Hedges - ON CONTACT, A Just Cause Radio (July 26, Aug. 16), David Feldman Show, CBS 4 Miami, New Yorker Magazine, Miami Herald, Think Progress, and Prison Legal News.
I also presented before the Criminal Justice Committee in Tallahassee, FL.
To date I've been on over two dozen radio and TV shows, had dozens of profiles, quotes, or mentions in newspapers, online press, and magazines.
In the meantime I'll work on "Referencing for beginners" and resubmit in the sandbox.
Hope I'm proceeding correctly. I appreciate your feedback.
GeoMallinckrodtGeoMallickrodt (talk) 20:49, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hello, GeoMallickrodt. I cannot tell you that you are proceeding correctly when you are trying to write an autobiography while stating "I'm not what sure makes someone notable exactly". Those are contradictory notions. Please be aware that a large majority of people who try to write a Wikipedia autobiography are unsuccessful and that most experienced Wikipedia editors highly disapprove of efforts to write autobiographies. Start with in-depth study of notability as it applies to people in general, authors in particular, and you.
- Wikipedia only accepts articles about notable topics. The brief definition is "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list." Obviously, you also need to understand how we define significant coverage and reliable source and independent. First of all, appearing as a guest on radio and TV shows does not make a person notable. Such appearances are not independent. Being interviewed by newspapers, magazines and websites does not make a person notable, as this is not independent coverage. Writing a book is also not enough. Read our notability guideline for authors. An autobiography will only be accepted if notability can be established without a doubt based on indisputably independent coverage. Significant coverage. Coverage in clearly reliable sources.
- No experienced editor will pay any attention to the sort of list of media appearances you posted above. We want dates, titles, authors, page numbers, and URLs to online sources. We are not interested in "profiles" provided by the subject, quotes or mentions, as they are not significant coverage.
- Your job is to demonstrate convincingly that you are notable. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 02:20, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
- I see that your book is self-published. Most editors will be even more skeptical of an autobiography of a self-published author. Such articles are widely seen as promotional. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 02:27, 20 December 2016 (UTC)

Need help
Jim, my name is Glen and Im involved in trying to get a person to stop posting on wiki false data regarding the band Steppenwolf.. Hes using the name Steppenwolfman and his real name is Larry Green and he recently erased data and made claim he was in Steppenwolf in the late 1970's under Steppenwolf band members. I have strong ties to Steppenwolf and if you go to magiccarpetrideinc.com you will see and read about the band,etc.. how do I correctly report Steppenwolfman to get him banned. Hes also been misusing other members of Steppenwolf's pictures to attempt to book his bogus tribute band. I can send all the proof needed please help us... so in wiki he posting false data, and on other internet sites hes posting fasle data of which we are dealing with legally.... thanks Lazuruz (talk) 10:57, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) So on my talk page you are claiming to be "Goldy" and here you are Glen? Please, this is not going to solve on-wiki. You are going to have to open an OTRS ticket. Follow the blue link in the previous sentence for details on how to do that. Neither Jim or I are administrators here, but an administrator is not going to be able to help you either. File the ticket please. John from Idegon (talk) 11:50, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

Just want to say thanks again for blocking Steppenwolf Band page from being abused by several users trying to insert their names most likely to use it as endorsement themselves so that they can make money off their name. The Real Mrs. McJohn — Preceding unsigned comment added by No1sonja (talk • contribs) 03:31, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you, No1sonja, but I did not "block" that page but simply removed unreferenced content which seemed dubious to me. Many famous rock bands have tribute bands that may or may not include musicians peripherally involved with reincarnations of the original band. But the Wikipedia article about the original band should not be used as a vehicle to promote any tribute bands. I keep an eye on literally thousands of Wikipedia articles and may miss attempts to restore this content. So, please feel free to let me know if this type of material creeps back into the article. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 05:06, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
Greetings, I just edit the Museums In Los Angeles County page and added my museum, the Martial Arts History Museum. I had done this about a year ago and it seems to have been removed so I'm re-entering it again. Perhaps, I did it incorrectly. Can you verify I entered my information correctly and let me know if I need to do anything so that it remains. Thank you, Michael Matsuda, Martial Arts History Museum Michaelmuseum (talk) 09:44, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hello there, Michaelmuseum. There were problems with your edit, and it has been reverted. First of all, your museum is located in Burbank and only museums in the city of Los Angeles should be added to List of museums in Los Angeles. Secondly, you added an external link instead of a reference. What we need in this case is a reference to a reliable source that verifies that the museum added is in Los Angeles (which it isn't in this case). Third, you have a conflict of interest which I recommend that you disclose on your (now blank) user page. Please read the Paid editing disclosure and comply with it. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 05:00, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
Editor of the Week seeking nominations (and a new facilitator)
The Editor of the Week initiative has been recognizing editors since 2013 for their hard work and dedication. Editing Wikipedia can be disheartening and tedious at times; the weekly Editor of the Week award lets its recipients know that their positive behaviour and collaborative spirit is appreciated. The response from the honorees has been enthusiastic and thankful.
The list of nominees is running short, and so new nominations are needed for consideration. Have you come across someone in your editing circle who deserves a pat on the back for improving article prose regularly, making it easier to understand? Or perhaps someone has stepped in to mediate a contentious dispute, and did an excellent job. Do you know someone who hasn't received many accolades and is deserving of greater renown? Is there an editor who does lots of little tasks well, such as cleaning up citations?
Please help us thank editors who display sustained patterns of excellence, working tirelessly in the background out of the spotlight, by submitting your nomination for Editor of the Week today!
In addition, the WikiProject is seeking a new facilitator/coordinator to handle the logistics of the award. Please contact L235 if you are interested in helping with the logistics of running the award in any capacity. Remove your name from here to unsubscribe from further EotW-related messages. Thanks, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 05:19, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
Need Help!
Hi Jim,
I need to ask the reason why my page Martin Dow (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Dow) is subject to deletion. this article is properly referenced and its about a notable company in Pakistan. The option to contest deletion is no more there on the page, i want to know is there any way it can be contested against deletion. You can review the links they are authentic and are from reliable sources. Kindly let me know what can be done so this article is not subject to deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shaheeraharoon (talk • contribs) 06:13, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hello, Shaheeraharoon. After doing a Google search, I agree with you, and commented at that deletion debate. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 07:22, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
Hi The dealing started since Trump took the Mexican subject as a campaign the end of the deal, what will happen, we dont know. If you dont see that, I understand. But every thing in this subject has being part of the Deal Trump is negotiating. he is a great negotiator, he is doing that. In time you will see the result. There are 2 points of view in this and 2 possible outcome, I took the experts of each side, give the options of that by the experts. There is no possible side the result has not happen. Is a negotiation in process. The options are there of what experts say can happen. The sources please check them. They are the most credited in the subject, there are no better ones. Trump, the Mexican President, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, the NAFTA, New York Times. I am not saying this is the case, but I did a previous Article on a person that did much in history. The person that marked for deletion offer me to help, he said, the sources, that the person did not do that, etc. when I demonstrated every thing was correct, that person insulted me, etc. I just let it go, a few months latter he published it. has a page with stars, he is a publisher, etc. I just want to contribute Wikipedia if good information is welcome. What ever you decide, is fine for me. Thank you, NORMAN PRINCE (talk) 07:52, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hello, NORMAN PRINCE. I have already stated my opinion at the Teahouse and at the deletion debate. There is no need to discuss the matter at a third location. It is up to the community to decide at this point. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 07:57, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- I came here because after your opinion, there was a "Let's discuss it" in red I click it and took me here. NORMAN PRINCE (talk) 08:03, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- I am always willing to discuss new topics here on my talk page, NORMAN PRINCE.
