Hello CocoTwinkletoe. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:CocoTwinkletoe. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=CocoTwinkletoe|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. creffett (talk) 22:50, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

hello creffett, i'm sorry, i didn't mean to break any rules. yes, i am the personal assistant of john michael cummings so he is my employer. i posted his biography in someplace called sandbox. can you help me do the articles for creation?

thank you

No, don't waste your time on this. Cummins is not a notable person and there should not be an article about him. He knows this very well, and has created many different accounts to deceptively try to get "his" article into Wikipedia. --bonadea contributions talk 06:22, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:CocoTwinkletoe/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. bonadea contributions talk 06:23, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

speedy deletion of sandbox

[edit]

hello bonadea, i was unaware of mr. cummings past issues with sockpuppet investigations. that is unfortunate. but i am here to follow all of the wikipedia policies and procedures as best that i can, i don't want to repeat any past mistakes, and i have complete control of the posting of the biography, not mr. cummings.

i'm sorry that the biography that i posted was unambiguous advertising. but now i know the policies and procedures regarding speedy deletion. correct me if i am wrong, but i am permitted to post the biography if it is fundamentally rewritten, and the content is replaced with text written from a neutral point of view. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#G11 thank you

No, see above. Cummings is not notable, a community discussion came to that conclusion and that means there cannot be an article about him. Don't create articles about him or his books. Thank you. It is also not clear what you mean by "complete control" given that the text in your sandbox was clearly written by Cummings himself, and given that you claimed to be employed by him. But that doesn't matter; as he knows, no biography of Cummings would be acceptable in Wikipedia at this time. If and when he becomes notable, somebody who has no connection to him will probably write an article that is balanced. --bonadea contributions talk 18:42, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

hello, with all due respect, the policies and procedures clearly state "fundamentally rewritten" and that is my objective to fundamentally rewrite the article so that it has a neutral point of view. it seems as though the official wikipedia rules don't apply to me?????? and he seems very notable to me. i respectfully request that a different moderator handle my case. thank you.

"Fundamentally rewritten" applies to articles that are written as advertisements, but it does not apply to articles that have been deleted for lack of notability following a community discussion. Your sandbox was deleted by an administrator (not by me) because it was written by a blocked user in violation of his block, and because it was advertising, but since you were asking about an article about Cummings, what is relevant here is the fact that the community has decided that such an article is not appropriate in Wikipedia. I am not a "moderator" and nor is anyone else, and I'm certainly not "handling your case" - I am taking the time to explain to you that your employer has given you a task that is impossible, and he knows it is. The same policies and guidelines apply to all of us, and one of the most strict policies concerns paid editing; you have been asked to comply with this policy, above, but you have not done so. --bonadea contributions talk 19:03, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

hello bonadea, i definitely appreciate you taking the time to explain to me. i don't understand everything that you just posted so will have to do some research and get back to you. i'm sorry if i didn't comply with the policy for paid editing, i thought that i explained to creffett, i will correct this asap. thank you.

hello bonadea, i was able to read the articles for deletion page. silktork posted that the problem was reliable sources. there was a link to a help page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Why_was_the_page_I_created_deleted%3F#What_you_can_do_about_it and in there it said "If you resubmit your article, please make the appropriate changes so it won't get deleted again" and "add multiple references from reliable sources". so unless i am in error i can resubmit the article if i find new reliable sources. i appreciate all the help, thank you.

No, as it says on the page you quoted you would need to first bring it up with the admin who deleted the page, and/or at deletion review, and demonstrate clearly what has changed since the community discussion closed. --bonadea contributions talk 04:47, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at WP:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

The same applies to article talk pages. David Biddulph (talk) 18:07, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
