Bad edit by ClueBot III
ClueBot III removed an unrelated comment on the page in this edit; does it not check for edit conflicts? Anomie⚔ 18:31, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
- It did it again here, but that one doesn't seem like an EC. Anomie⚔ 01:30, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Semi odd edit
I'm curious why your bot archived the lower comment with this edit?--Rockfang (talk) 15:34, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- Edit conflict, likely. I'll pester the devs to fix the replag. -- Cobi(t|c|b) 15:52, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
FYI, I have placed it back from the page archive. --Yecril (talk) 16:42, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Cluebot II clearing sandboxes
User:ClueBot_II doesn't mention that it clears sandboxes as one of its tasks. Furthermore, it appears to be doing that every 6 hours, but Wikipedia:Sandbox says that that page is cleared every 12 hours. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Proffe (talk • contribs) 12:11, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Summary of page moves
Please remove the word "User:" from the visible text of the move summaries. I keep patrolling the move log for users who move their user pages out of place, and I do this by having my browser search for the string "User:" in the move log. The presence of this string in ClueBot's summaries makes it harder for me. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu

More index blanking
[1], [2], [3], [4]. Explanation? Thanks. Calvin 1998 (t·c) 18:41, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- Someone broke the API. :( I am going to report a bug since I am not getting anywhere asking Tim, brion, and friends in #wikimedia-tech to fix it. -- Cobi(t|c|b) 18:51, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

False positive reporting
Hi -- I just tried to report a false positive ([5] for an edit by 204.209.209.129) following the procedure described at [User:ClueBot/FalsePositives] and it doesn't appear to have shown up. Could there be something wrong with the "false positive" reporting tool?
(Oh, and I know you only hear from me when there's a problem -- so to counter that, I'll say, good work on ClueBot!) -- Why Not A Duck 21:43, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- I think it's been broken for quite a while now. Calvin 1998 (t-c) 04:10, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi -- I was told to report any mistakes I might have done on this page, if this isn't the page to do it, it would be appreciated if someone directs me to the appropriate page. Recently, I found a Winx Club template under the article [General Grievous]. As it is obvious the template is not relevant to the article, I thought blanking the template would remove it. When I refreshed the page, someone else had already spotted the template and removed it used the correct procedures, while Cluebot had picked interpreted my edit has vandalism. I apologize as I had no idea how to remove templates and I would appreciate if the warning on my talk page be removed now. Thanks. Ninjaclown 05:32, 7 September 2008 (UTC-7)
My point of view
The edit I made was constructive and was not an attempt for vandalism. Kindly refer to the explanation on my talk page. The deletion was previously made by other users for this totally disputed article. I am going to delete it again. If you think I shouldn't please explain your reasons on my talk page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Contrieng (talk • contribs) 14:57, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

ClueBot III malfunction
I was just looking around my talk page, when I found that my Archives box no longer had any archives, so I looked at the source code and went to this page and undid the malfunction. Just a heads-up!

- The problem was with api.php. It's fixed now, the fixed revision just isn't live. Bug the devs on IRC or something if you want it fixed :) (oh, and this same problem is discussed 3 sections up) Calvin 1998 (t·c) 21:58, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
ClueBot III archiving malfunction?
I had just added a new discussion to WP:BOTREQ, when it was archived by ClueBot III alongside another (unrelated) discussion with the edit summary "Archiving 1 discussion to Wikipedia:Bot requests/Archive 22. (BOT)" That the bot said "1 discussion" when it was clearly two leads me to believe this was a mistake, so I have partially reverted it, reinstating my discussion. -kotra (talk) 18:01, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
duplicate warning section September 2008
How come Cluebot created a second "September 2008" section in this edit and didn't add his warning to the existing section? I can't see anything that might have confused him there. --AmaltheaTalk 18:16, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- I think it is because of the dates the warnings are given. ClueBot gave the September 2008 warning about 6 days after the last one, with the Shared IP note below the last non-bot warning. SchfiftyThree 22:41, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds reasonable, but I'm still not quite getting it. Here he added a level 2 warning 26 hours after a level 1, but here (admittedly back in January) he added a new section less than three hours after the last level 1 warning. --AmaltheaTalk 23:03, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm, that's confusing to me, too. Did you try talking to Cobi about that? SchfiftyThree 23:13, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well, that's why I'm here, per "Do not use this page for User:ClueBot support unless it is urgent. Use this page instead." :) --AmaltheaTalk 23:18, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- I know about that, but I still wonder how ClueBot made those new section warnings within 24 hours. Cobi might respond on this page sometime soon... SchfiftyThree 23:40, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Immediate report to AVI
Hi. I wonder if it's possible that Cluebot immediately reports to AIV this kind of template vandalism or typical page-move vandalism at the first time. This would reduce the lapse of time between the first edit and the block. It also happens that vandalism edits are too fast and Cluebot sends several messages of the same level. ClueBot gives warnings, but doesn't revert
I have noticed some strange things about ClueBot lately. One thing I have to say is this: Sometimes, ClueBot finds an edit where a large number of content higher than 7,500 characters gets deleted, but it gives the user the warning instead of actually reverting the edit. An example is shown here - the IP user deleted 19,045 characters, but ClueBot warned and did not revert the edit.
A 2nd quick thing I'd just like to say is that ClueBot has not been very active in reverting minor changes; it has started to shift into reverting pageblanks and massdelete heuristics (this has been going for about 2½ weeks now). SchfiftyThree 22:04, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- In the example, ClueBot has (most probably) tried to rollback, but since the same IP made the edit, it didn't change anything, so it didn't appear in the history. Cenarium Talk 10:04, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Not archiving?
Hiya.. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I had ClueBot set to archive after 7d (168 hours), but there's still stuff sitting on my talk page from Sept 1... am I missing something? Prince of Canada t | c 12:34, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Page moving
I find it kind of unusual for ClueBot's page-move reverts. When it reverts page moves (most likely by Grawp), it just warns them and adds higher leveled warnings during its reverts. I believe that these "Grawp clones" do not need to be warned at all, as they are under control of a banned user, and warning them would make no difference to stop them. - (ec) The bot can't help you there.
Your request has been declined at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations#Triquetra.bis → Triquetra since User:Triquetra has made significant edits, so it can't be usurped for GFDL reasons. The bot only helped by giving info how many edits the current user of the account has made. WAZA list
Hey Cluebot:
You reverted my article edit on List of WAZA member zoos and aquariums. I was not trying to commit vandalism and actually I am going to complete the page that would shorten space and make reading easier. You can check List of AZA member zoo and aquariums and List of CAZA member zoos and aquariums as examples. Please let me add this change to this page I have worked hard on it.
