Speedy deletion nomination of User:ChuksJD
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:ChuksJD, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:48, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
- I reverted the page to how you had it originally, with the commented out ("nowiki'd out") COI-notice. If you restore the content you added recently, the page will likely be tagged for deletion and deleted, as it did read like an advertisement. See WP:NOTADVERT and WP:Criteria for speedy deletion#G11 for details. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:05, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
User page
[edit]Sorry, but your user page does not conform to Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself and your Wikimedia-related activities. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:
- an encyclopedia article (and should not be styled to look like one)
- a workspace for a draft article
- a personal website, blog, or social media site
- a space for self-promotion or other advertising
- a CV/resumé
- a lengthy autobiography
The user page guidelines have additional information on what is and what is not considered acceptable content. Thank you. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:49, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, ChuksJD. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:49, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
Nowiki
[edit]I noticed that you have
<nowiki>
and
</nowiki>
surrounding
{{UserboxCOI|1=InstaNovella}}
on your user page.
If you want it to look like this you will need to remove the "nowiki" and "/nowiki" tags from around it. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:20, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
Image without license
[edit]Unspecified source/license for File:Instanovella.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Instanovella.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}}
(to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (Talk • Contribs • Owner) 00:45, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of InstaNovella
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on InstaNovella requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
Technically, it's a crime to make a wikipedia page? ChuksJD (talk) 17:23, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Technically? Possibly. In practical terms? I very much doubt anyone would face criminal or even civil charges for creating a Wikipedia page if the only legal issue was violating the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of service. Now, if you edit for the purposes of advertising something that is itself illegal in the United States ("Get your TNT and other high explosives here, cash only, no questions asked, contact Wile E. Coyote at ..."), yeah, expect to get a visit from the police, but that would be true if you were advertising on any other US-based web site as well. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:46, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- I get the point. We’re all humans and I've really gotten the instant deleting of my drafts (which isn't submitted by review) and somehow I'm having a believe that I'm not welcomed. I look up at other wikipages before making one but it seems like mine is a ‘focused’ page. I really love writing and I can assure you that I'm not making this money or any relationship with any company, organization or person.
- I think the problem is lack of obvious "notability" combined with the appearance that the purpose of the draft is to promote the subject. I'm saying this blindly, I cannot see pages once they are deleted and I don't remember which, if any, pages you made that I saw before they were deleted. In any case, I've given you links to some pages about notability further down. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:59, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

File:Instanovella.png listed for discussion
[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Instanovella.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:06, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Disregard as I didn't see it was a near-100% copy of the other image just without the black background. I have put a "missing evidence of permission" template on it, which will result in its deletion in a week if the permission issues are not resolved. See below. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:18, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Another instanovella.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Another instanovella.jpg, which you've attributed to https://instanovella.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/stories3.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:11, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for donating previously published pictures, but...
[edit]You need to use the permissions process documented on the templates I added to the two images listed above for them to stay. This is for the protection of those who own non-free works: Anyone can create a Wikipedia account, pretend to be you, then upload your work to Wikipedia, even if you don't want them to. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:22, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Already send a mail to permissions-en@wikimedia.org
[edit]Davidwr I have already sent a email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and I would love you to review [[1]] for me as I'm still new to the environment when it comes to making a wikipage. Recently celestina007 deleted by page that's been on draft space. Kindly guide me up as I'll be really appreciative.
- The number of people who get those emails is deliberately kept small. I am not one of those people. Someone will reply in due course. Don't worry, the pages will stay up for a week, which will give them time to act.
- By the way, you can use
[[User:ChuksJD/sandbox]]
if you want to make a link to that sandbox page. It appears like this: User:ChuksJD/sandbox when you do. - I took one look at the references on the sandbox and said to myself "Where is the evidence that this page meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines? I see no evidence that it does." and stopped reading. The vast majority of companies and web sites do not 'qualify' for a Wikipedia article. Articles about such companies and web sites are routinely deleted (see WP:Deletion policy).
- For more details, please see WP:Notability, especially the part that WP:SIGCOV takes you to. Also see WP:Notability (organizations and companies), WP:Reliable sources, and WP:Independent sources. Of course, you should also read WP:What Wikipedia is not. If you have any connection to that organization, read WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Paid editing disclosure as well. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:56, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
The evidences are already on my notepad. I’ll always contact you whenever I make available. ChuksJD (talk) 18:21, 6 October 2020 (UTC)"Where is the evidence that this page meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines? I see no evidence that it does."
- The evidence, in the form of published sources, should be in the draft or article for all to see and evaluate. Granted, some references are either offline/dead-tree/other-physical-media published sources or online-but-paywalled published sources, but at least the citation needs to be public so someone who does have access to a copy can verify that the citation backs up what is said in the article. See WP:Verifiability and WP:Citing sources for details. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:53, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
It would really appreciated if you add the citation needed tag for me ChuksJD (talk) 19:18, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- {{citation needed}} is for individual statements that need a citation. I didn't even read the draft that closely. The first thing I or any other reviewer needs to be able to answer is "what evidence is there that this topic is notable." Please read WP:Notability carefully. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:03, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
OK now I'm confused
[edit]Further up this page, you said I really love writing and I can assure you that I'm not making this money or any relationship with any company, organization or person.
Yet in an earlier version of your User page (here), you put up a "de-activated" version of {{UserboxCOI}}, indicating that you have a conflict of interest with respect to InstaNovella. I'm confused. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:05, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry for the typos tho.
(This) was a mistake. I added the tag unknowingly — as I was still new to the system. I do NOT have anything to do them. If y’all want me to terminate making a wikipage for InstaNovella, I will surely do so.
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Lekki Night.jpeg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Lekki Night.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2020/10/22/sars-a-brief-history-of-a-rogue-unit. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
- Your findings are wrong! You may hate me or something but placing a tag for speedy deletion of an image I took, is off! The above website you mentioned claiming that is it the owner of the image, which proof do you have to back it up?
NONE
! - It was an occasion, everyone has rights to take pictures in occasions. And I ain't contesting for anything anywhere, it doesn't work. All the images I've uploaded will somehow get deleted now, you've come up to tell me that the defendngr is the owner of the image. Asin, he’s the only one allowed to make such images? I'd employ you to make a rethink and remove the tag yourself.
ChuksJD (talk) 14:17, 22 October 2020 (UTC)- Based on your claim above, I have replaced the speedy deletion request made by Ytoyoda with a "slow speedy deletion" request. This will give you 7 days to resolve the issue. Instructions are on the template that is now on the image's description page, File:Picture Of Eze Eberechi.jpeg. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:57, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

- David, first off all, I didn't attribute the image to any
website
orplace
orperson
! I believe I stated that earlier. Secondly, I'm not gonna write any letter to anyone (last one wasn't looked into... So I'll pass). So, if they want delete it, then they should hurry up. Thought this site was an encyclopedia but nah, there's the big “boys” who decides what should stay and what should be deleted. I can't even make an article after 3 months of being on this system. Only the big boys gets a say. I'm tired man. Just gonna stick to being an editor.
- David, first off all, I didn't attribute the image to any
PS
: Why isn't my articles crawled by Google Bots yet? I can find em when I search for em on Wikipedia but no search engine took record of it.
ChuksJD (talk) 19:53, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- Ask Google. From what I understand, in some cases articles aren't indexed by Google until after 90 days. In others, they are indexed within a few days. Wikipedia tags draft articles and "user space" drafts so that major search engines will not index them. Wikipedia also puts tags on all pages asking search engines to not "follow" external links. This is to discourage people using Wikipedia to spam web sites.
- As for the image, it has been previously published at https://thedefenderngr.com/ganduje-conferred-igbo-chieftaincy-title-in-abia-as-kano-governor-emir-preach-tolerance/ . It is standard practice for Wikipedia to require proof of publication under a Wikipedia-compatible free license when it comes to images that were published elsewhere first unless the image and its specific use qualify for use as a non-free image under the non-free content criteria. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:27, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah. I didn't know you review pages though. I'm sorry if I was “harsh” to you. Im gonna try to get the original copy since no one wanna believe I took the photograph myself. If I'm unable to find it on my file trash can, then I'll replace it another one. And thanks for reviewing Abayi Okoroato, it means so much to me.
𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐤𝐬𝐉𝐃 O_o ChuksJD (talk) 04:58, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- I don't want to take too much credit: I did not give Abayi Okoroato a formal review. I don't even remember why I visited it yesterday. I do know that non-existent categories are typically removed from articles "on sight" unless it's obvious the category should be created. Places that are "legally incorporated" as cities, towns, or the equivalent are usually "presumed notable" unless someone can make a strong claim otherwise. It doesn't apply here, but this "presumed notability" is not true for neighborhoods, sub-city-level government entities, special taxing districts, and the like - they may or may not be "notable" enough to warrant an article, so the usual Wikipedia rules on finding reliable, independent sources that demonstrate significant coverage are enforced with their usual strictness.
- Thanks for looking for a legal replacement photo. For obvious legal reasons, the Wikimedia Foundation, which handles legal matters for all Wikimedia projects including the English Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Commons, insists that projects adopt and enforce rules related to copyrights. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 13:43, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Notable people
[edit]As a general rule the only people in sections like "Notable residents" or "notable alumni" etc. sections are people who either have Wikipedia articles or who are so famous that their omission would be "glaring." A good place for other names - particularly names of people who MIGHT meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines but whose notability isn't "blindingly obvious," is the talk page. This will get the attention of other editors who might be looking for topics to research and, if notable enough, write about.
In the latter case, if you have time, write at least a stub article about the person if one does not exist already (be sure to check for Draft: articles first). If no article exists and you don't have time to write one, or if a draft exists but is "clearly not ready" to be moved into the main encyclopedia, consider wikilinking anyways. Read WP:REDLINK (which, ironically, is not a red link) before you do this. The purpose of a "red link" is to say "hey, this person/topic is clearly notable, the fact that no such article exists is a major 'hole' in the encyclopedia." "Red links" were much more common in the early days of Wikipedia, now they should be rare. If you ever see a "red link" it should probably be either unlinked or turned into an article. The only reasons to leave it red would be if a draft is in progress or if you, as an editor, are busy with other things. In the latter case, the next editor who sees the red-link should go through the same process. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 14:05, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you David I'll add the "Red Link" then, I'm working on them. Thank you. 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐤𝐬𝐉𝐃 O_o ChuksJD (talk) 14:16, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- OK. Just reserve the red-links for people who are "blatantly obviously" notable. Mayors are typically not "blatantly obviously notable" unless they are a mayor of a major city known world-wide (if the city has over a million residents or is a national capital, it probably qualifies, otherwise, probably not). National legislators typically are presumed notable. Province/state-level legislators and chief executives (e.g. Governors or equivalent) typically are but there are probably some countries where this is not true. For everyone else, either remove them or put the name, title, supporting references, etc. on the talk page.
- Oh, be careful about people with similar names, if John Smith is the national legislative representative from somewhere, don't wikilink to John Smith, either wikilink to the correct existing article, or to
[[John Smith (countryname)|John Smith]]
or to some other piped link to a suitably-titled "disambiguating" name (see John Smith for examples of un-piped names). Always verify that pages you link to go to the right place. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 14:32, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah. Thank you. Can you look this for me? I added ([citation needed]) to places I'll add citation. 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐤𝐬𝐉𝐃 O_o ChuksJD (talk) 14:42, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- One reference from a source whose independence is not solid won't do, particularly for a biography of a living person where standards are much stricter. In any case, I recommend you drop a line at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Nigeria asking for evaluations, particularly with respect to whether this person meets Wikipedia's notability criteria for inclusion. By the way, I temporarily removed the list of names from Abayi Okoroato, see the note on the talk page for details. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:29, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- Alright, thank you David, I appreciate. 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐤𝐬𝐉𝐃 O_o ChuksJD (talk) (Contribs) 17:34, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:InstaNovella Homepage.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:InstaNovella Homepage.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Instanovella Official Logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Instanovella Official Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:35, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Someone may be impersonating you
[edit]Someone has taken the username ChuksJD2. He may be impersonating you.
If this is NOT you, you can either ask him nicely to read through WP:Username policy for instructions to change his username, or you can find instructions on that page to report him for having a username that is blatantly confusing because it is so similar to your own at WP:Username policy#Report blatant violations.
If it is you, please read through WP:Sockpuppetry#Legitimate uses to makes sure your use of two accounts won't cause problems for you now or in the future. In many cases, you don't even have to disclose that both accounts are yours. In some, it is wise or even mandatory to disclose the connection privately or publicly. If you ever plan on running for administrator it is almost certain that all accounts that edited will need to be publicly disclosed. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 14:30, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Requesting to be Unblocked
[edit]ChuksJD (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
my google chrome was lagging and I needed to make new edits. I tried logging in to Wikipedia using another browser and I couldn't remember my password. I changed my password and tried logging in but it couldn't still work. I had to create another account to continue of I told David about having two accounts. So I'm confirming that ChuksJD is my account and I request that my IP address should be unblocked. Thank you. 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐤𝐬𝐉𝐃 O_o ChuksJD (talk) (Contribs) 22:27, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline. Editor is not blocked.
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- I was blocked when my alternative account’s IP address was blocked. It was has lifted this morning though. 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐤𝐬𝐉𝐃 O_o ChuksJD (talk) (Contribs) 05:00, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- Information for the reviewing administrator: It is ChuksJD2 (talk · contribs) that is blocked. Here is a statement by ChucksJD2 linking the accounts. The unblock request above[2] should serve as proof that ChuksJD controls both accounts. He still needs to make sure he complies with WP:SOCKLEGIT once the account is unblocked. I can't speak to the message right below this one, however. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 22:37, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:02, 26 October 2020 (UTC)- Isn't KING a pronoun? From my understanding, the first alphabet should be capitalized so does it goes to others. If you wish to block me for some mistakes (which I doubt,) then it's fine. I'm not appealing for anything because without doubt you ‘dislike’ me. Thank you. It was nice being at Wikipedia. Good bye David you were a nice friend. And Celestina you weren't nice at all. Lol. Remain blessed people. 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐤𝐬𝐉𝐃 O_o ChuksJD (talk) (Contribs) 05:13, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- I don't know if you will see this, but I would have reverted part or all of both of those edits. Terms like king, dad, congressman, etc. are either capitalized or not depending on context, at least in most of the English-speaking world. It is possible that you are from a part of the English-speaking world where these words are always capitalized, but that wouldn't account for all of the capitalization errors you made.
- That said, had it been just these two edits, I would've reverted, warned, and asked you to stop copy-editing except in cases where you were 100% sure you were right. However, I scrolled up your talk page and looked back through my own memory and I can see why the administrator blocked you from editing. You need to practice your English but more importantly, you need to get into the practice of seeing what others have done before, seeing what the established practices are, and learning the "rules of the road" before making a major contribution to a group project like Wikipedia. You might be doing that in other areas of your life, but from the looks of things, you aren't doing this in Wikipedia. I say "from the looks of things" because maybe you did do everything I just said, but you made so many mistakes of judgement like "fixing" already-correct capitalization and not understanding our copyright policies that it looks like you didn't.
- It's great to have an area of specialization like copy-editing. However, others will look to you as an example if you advertise the fact. This means it's even more important that you learn the "rules of the road" in that area and "get reasonably good at it" before you tell everyone else that this is your area of specialty. For example, how well versed are you in the WP:Manual of style? If you are going to focus on copy-editing, you are going to be expected to know "house rules" of style at least as good as most editors, if not better.
- I hope that at some future time in your life, after you've realized why you were blocked and you make a point to "learn the rules," you will consider contributing to another Wikipedia project, such as a non-English Wikipedia, Wiktionary, the Simple English Wikipedia, or one of the other projects. Notice I said "at some future time in your life." The same issues that caused you problems here will cause you problems on those other projects. For now, find some way to make the world a better place that is more suited to your current skill set and current stage of life.
- For now, goodbye. If I'm still around in a few years, {{ping}} me or drop me a note on my talk page. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 13:01, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb: Unless there is something egregious that I missed, this is one of those edge cases that could have gone either way, with a block or a final warning before a block. That said, I'm not asking you to change your mind, after all, that's why we, the community, hired you in the first place, to make these kind of decisions.
- I'm not sure if you were aware of it, but this editor has a legitimate alternate account, ChuksJD2 (talk · contribs) (please ignore the now-lifted sockpuppetry-related block on it, that was a "false positive" for what turned out to be WP:LEGIT use). Purely as a procedural/housekeeping matter, consider blocking it as well until the editor is allowed to edit again. Yes, I do understand ban ≠ block, but in circumstances like this, I would say editors are under a de facto editing ban until unblocked. @ChuksJD and ChuksJD2: this means you aren't supposed to log in with that account to edit (except its talk page) and you aren't supposed to "while logged out" either, that is WP:SOCKPUPPETRY and not the WP:LEGIT kind either. Editing at all under outside of your user talk page would be considered intentional disruption and would make my statements above about eventually coming back to Wikipedia projects irrelevant. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 13:15, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- Lol. A warning isn't meant for Africans. This is English Wikipedia and it's for the English. If I'm to come around someday (in the future). Reverting my edits would have been the MOST sensible thing to do. No warning. No calling to order and boom! A straight blocking. Lol. I although thought I was doing good to humanity BUT I forgot it's "English Wikipedia". Lol. It's all fine. We may meet somewhere else in other part of the world. Really wish I could get in touch with you maybe... WhatsApp. Facebook. Twitter or just somewhere that not only meant for the English Man. If that could be possible, then drop a message here, I'll message you there ASAP. 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐤𝐬𝐉𝐃 O_o ChuksJD (talk) (Contribs) 14:09, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- I'll tell you what, on the off-chance that my block was premature, I am opting to unblock you. You need to very quickly get up to speed on basic rules of English grammar, as nobody is required to clean up after you, and when a person introduces more mistakes into an article than they fix, they are not improving the encyclopedia, and those changes can be indistinguishable from vandalism. Here are my concerns:
- "Fixed capitalization problem". Erroneously changed Bangladeshi to Bangladesh. Bangladesh is the name of the country. A person from Bangladesh is Bangladeshi. Erroneously changed director to Director, producer to Producer, industry to Industry, actor to Actor, editor to Editor,
- "Fixed typos". Erroneously changed fish wholesale to Fish Wholesale, housewife to Housewife. Let's assume union council could have gone either way, even though it probably was correct in lower-case.
- "Fixed capitalization problem." Do we normally capitalise Bachelor's Degree?
- "Definitely fixed capitalization problem." Prochesta seems like a good change, but Urban and Donors?
- Same stuff here. Is "traditional ruler" supposed to be capitalised? King, when not used in a title? Kingdom, yet another common noun?
- Here, you incorrectly format the {{plainlist}} template. Part of why you should be checking your edits before you save them to the article.
- "Was then been created"? Is that proper grammar? Or chief → Chief, son → Son?
- So now you know at least three areas to strengthen: 1) You need to improve your understanding of common vs. proper nouns. 2) You need to improve your understanding of grammar. 2) You need to double-check your work. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:16, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Dandy Jackson Chukwudi
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Dandy Jackson Chukwudi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
Making Threats
[edit]Could you explain why you thought leaving a veiled threat which can be likened to a mafia hit list at the talk page of ytoyoda was a bright idea? You do know threats of any kind subtle or blatantly outright threats aren’t permitted on this collaborative project right? I’ve just reviewed your entire edit history & it appears it has been one trouble or another, perhaps Wikipedia, which is a collaborative project might be incompatible with your behavior. Have you tried other websites out? I don’t think you understand basic fundamentals to satisfaction such as our WP:5P which apparently makes you a very problematic editor. June election: Jonesey95 was chosen to continue as lead coordinator, assisted by Dhtwiki, Tenryuu, and Miniapolis. New maintenance template added to our project scope: After a short discussion in June, we added {{cleanup tense}} to the list of maintenance templates that adds articles to the Guild's copy editing backlog categories. This change added 198 articles, spread over 97 months of backlog, to our queue. We processed all of those articles except for those from the three or four most recent months during the July backlog elimination drive (Here's a link to a "tense" discussion during the drive). Progress report: As of 18:26, 24 September 2021 (UTC), GOCE copyeditors have processed 468 requests since 1 January and there were 60 requests awaiting completion on the Requests page. The backlog of articles tagged for copy-editing stood at 433 (see monthly progress graph above). Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! It is with great sadness that we report the death on 19 November of Twofingered Typist, who was active with the Guild almost daily for the past several years. His contributions long exceeded the thresholds for the Guild's highest awards, and he had a hand in innumerable good and featured article promotions as a willing collaborator. Twofingered Typist also served as a Guild coordinator from July 2019 to June 2021. He is sorely missed by the Wikipedia community. Progress report: As of 30 November, GOCE copyeditors have completed 619 requests in 2021 and there were 51 requests awaiting completion on the Requests page. The backlog stood at 946 articles tagged for copy-editing (see monthly progress graph above). Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you!
