Providing sources

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Jim Lynch (conservationist). It is good to see the article being improved. However, the content you added about awards requires citations of sources, particularly since this article is a biography of a living person. Please see WP:BLP. Please add citations of sources for these awards.

On another note, please don't mark edits as minor, unless they are spelling or format corrections etc. Any material change to content is never a minor edit. The reason this is important is that some editors manage their watchlist by omitting minor edits. Marking an edit as minor when it is not will hide a significant edit from the watchlist of some editors. This is considered poor etiquette. Please see: WP:MINOR._Marshelec (talk) 02:24, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hi Chriswatkin1964! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Jim Lynch (conservationist) that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Marshelec (talk) 05:53, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
