Fixed dates in references

[edit]

Hi Capt. Wild Bill! We spoke earlier on IRC, my nick there is 'Waggie'. I took the liberty of fixing the dates in your references. Please take note of the date format I used so you can remember for future references. It's a pretty flexible field, but I think it didn't like the abbreviations of the months. Chrisw80 (talk) 03:11, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Waggie, you are a true angel of mercy. Capt. Wild Bill (talk) 01:11, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Waggie, would you mind terribly checking the date on footnote four of my proposed article? I entered the date in the specified format, but got an error message. Oddly, when I used the same format in a different footnote, no problem. Thank you much, I know it's just a getting used to the system thing. Capt. Wild Bill (talk) 02:58, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Okey, dokey. Back to the drawing board! Capt. Wild Bill (talk) 01:12, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! The best place to respond would probably be on the talk page. When you're in the article, you click on 'Talk' at the top and it will take you to a page for discussion about the article. When there, check for a section about what you want to respond to and add your comments there first. If there is no section about what you want to talk about, click 'New Section' at the top and then add the subject, and then your comments. Don't forget to sign your comments by placing ~~~~ at the end of your comment. Also, please remember to never delete the comments from anyone else. Please read this for more information about Talk Pages. Chrisw80 (talk) 18:26, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Very helpful! Just takes a bit of hacking around, your direction is much appreciated!

I think the "talk" function problem I was having is

Resolved

Hope so, anyhow. Capt. Wild Bill (talk) 01:16, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Good to hear! Please let us know if you need any more help. Best wishes. Chrisw80 (talk) 01:37, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Capt. Wild Bill. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Cowboy Lawyers Association".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 11:50, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
