[edit]Ballantyne family
[edit]Hello. Do you think we would benefit from an article on the Ballantyne wool family? Although Ballantyne is tagged as a surname list, the extensive list of places and other meanings mean that it should really be a disambiguation page. Almost all of the entries have the required blue links except for the wool people and their company. Would it make sense to assemble the information from there, The Kirna, Walkerburn and any other relevant articles in one place? We could then create redirects from the unlinked people. Many of the pages which link to Ballantyne refer to the family rather than the surname in general, and those links could also be diverted to the new article. I'm not sure of the best title because there are other Ballantyne families. Normally I'd put this sort of request on a WikiProject page, but we seem to have a clear subject expert in this case. Although I have plenty of edits and am happy to help with wikifying, I'm not really an article creator and don't know the topic. Certes (talk) 10:39, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
The Kirna
[edit]In response to your request for assessment at Wikiproject Scotland, I have looked at the article and agree it meets B Class, which is its current assigned Class. Overall, a fascinating read on a a Category A piece of Scottish history, so well done. I think with some general copyediting, you would be close to meeting GA Class if you are working towards it (for more details see Wikipedia:Good articles). My suggestions for improvement would be to look closely at the image selection as it is perhaps a little cluttered, consider a slight restructure (see templates at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Architecture#Help_for_authors for more detail) and importantly closely look at the content to ensure that it does not read as original research (which in most cases it does not as there are good references). Overall though, a fascinating architectural read. Coldupnorth (talk) 19:38, 26 September 2021 (UTC)
