I created the center punch page to provide emphasis to this tool. The center punch is a valuable tool to metalworkers and could be confused with other punch or indention tools. This page provides an in depth description of the tool and provides uses for the center punch and how it is different from the more technologically advanced automatic center punch. The page is important to draw special attention to a specific tool in a line of variations of punches. This tool is designed for a specific use and that is illustrated in this article.
