WP Mammals, etc.
[edit]HI Blind Eagle, I think that if a wikiproject is assigned that is "under" another wikiproject, you don't need to have them both on the talk page. In other words, any article tagged by WikiProject Equine (WPEQ) doesn't also need to be added to WP:Mammals. Just to save you work! Montanabw(talk) 03:08, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Deletion question
[edit]I just noticed this but I suspect you were thinking of Americans for Responsibility in Washington. Cheers. Enter CambridgeBayWeather, waits for audience applause, not a sausage 16:46, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- That tag is for the article but I see that a speedy was already put on that page here and declined. Enter CambridgeBayWeather, waits for audience applause, not a sausage 16:59, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Hebridean sheep
[edit]It's not a policy, it's simple common sense. Sheep are mammals, so saying that it's both a sheep stub and a mammal stub is redundant. It's the same thing from a purely organizational perspective: the sheep-stub template is a sub-template of the mammal project and the agriculture project, so any article tagged with a sub-template doesn't need to be tagged with the top-level one. I have nominated Editing Category:Animal breeds originating in Ethiopia, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Editing Category:Animal breeds originating in Ethiopia. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Tckma (talk) 13:23, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Taxoboxes
[edit]Thanks for the effort, but general taxoboxes are not used for domestic animal breeds. The ones you added are for species and subspecies only. Steven Walling (talk) 00:58, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit]WikiProject Agriculture Question?
[edit]Hey! I've been editing the Georgia 4-H page the past two weeks and I was wondering if the importance level or any of that has changed since you have last edited it, on the discussion page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Georgia_4-H. Any other advice or hints would be nice to add to the page if you desire. Thanks! Tamer of hope (talk) 01:26, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Hello, since you participated in the discussion for Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nathan MacDonald I wanted to inform you that the page is back at AfD. J04n(talk page) 23:49, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
CVM
[edit]I understand why a redirect would seem like a duplicate, but the truth is that people looking for info about sheep breeds need to know that Romeldales and CVM sheep are basically separate. Breeders generally only keep CVM or Romeldales (for a variety of reasons) and it's helpful to readers to treat them as distinct listings in a breed list and then have an article which gives a more nuanced description of the similarities and differences. It's the same precedent we set with Merino and sub-types such as the South African Meat Merino. Steven Walling 21:11, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 05:15, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Barbados Blackbelly page
[edit]Hi BlindEagle,
There are several dead-end links on the Barbados Blackbelly sheep page. Specifically "Barbados Cookoff" in the See Also section and the "Barbados Black belly/Grenada" link under References.
Thanks, Celkins (talk) 19:51, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Georgia 4-H
[edit]Hey BlindEagle, I was wondering if you would like to review the Georgia 4-H article. I know it needs more pictures, I've been working to get people to add them. But I have added several new references and a few new sections. Plus, some people have surprised me and randomly added stuff (I wish they would reference their sources though). I just wanted you to check it out again and see if you would grade it differently. Thanks so much! Tamer_of_Hope talk 18:12, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Announcement
[edit]Hello! I'm The Arbiter, one of the coordinators for WikiProject Zoo. I am proud to announce the launch of a new portal: Portal:Zoos and Aquariums! ZooPro, ZooFari, and I worked hard to create a new portal for information on zoos, aquariums, and the associated projects and articles on Wikipedia. If you could head on over, take a look at our work, and maybe learn some more about zoos and Wikiproject Zoo, it would be great! Cheers and Happy Editing!

Hampshire infobox
[edit]Hi! I noticed you've added an infobox to this article. I think 'use=' should show 'Meat, wool' for this breed. I see some infoboxes for sheep breeds have two uses given: primary and secondary. Hampshires do produce a heavy fleece of middling wool. - Neonorange (talk) 22:19, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for your comment. The article talks about desirable mutton but only describes the amount of wool provided. Can you provide a source that notes that the wool is desired for some use? BlindEagletalk~contribs 12:53, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
Ways to improve Guirra
[edit]Hi, I'm TheMagikCow. BlindEagle, thanks for creating Guirra!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This is a great start. Some more information would be great and a picture would be good aswell.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. TheMagikCow (talk) 19:48, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
Hi BlindEagle, On the Barbados Blackbelly page, the new Info box is misleading. Under Traits, you have listed "Wool color." Barbados Blackbelly are a hair sheep and do not have wool. That is one of the most important things that readers should take away from the page. Hair sheep are very different than wool sheep. Perhaps you could change the heading to "Hair color." Thanks. Celkins (talk) 15:36, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
