This article was created on May 17, 2015; Dig Planet picked it up soon afterwards.

The article was deleted on May 29 by Black Kite as "prod expired, non-notable person". I was not notified that the article was being considered for speedy deletion. No one challenged the prod. I contacted Black Kite and asked that the article be returned to the board, as I had no knowledge that the material had been questioned. Black Kite did not reply to my inquiry.

I returned the revised article to the board on June 29; Dig Planet automatically picks up the changes made. The bot found the duplication with Dig Planet. Billy Hathorn (talk) 18:27, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

Overton Brooks

Since you have done a great deal of editing to this article, I'm dropping you a heads up. I heavily edited the section on his last election. It was almost like a biography of his opponent and was referenced on a obituary. Obituaries fail WP:RS besides the article is about Brooks. McClanahan's marriage, what children he had, his running for political office after his loss to Brooks, don't belong in the Brooks article. I know you added none of this. The IP(s) who did even thought a link to an obituary on McClanahan's wife should be at the bottom of the references section.
