I really like your description of a registrar and found it pretty thorough. You highlighted preservation in the registrar's role, which is represented under physical care of the collection. The way you broke down the responsibilities of the registrar is easy to understand. I also thought it was good to mention that larger museums will often have split roles and more than one registrar, whereas registrars at smaller museums have to do it all. Certainly, roles and responsibilities will shift based on the size of the museum and type of collections. I don't have much to add in regards to improving the page, but maybe a section that talks about who the registrar works closely with - the curator, prep department, conservator, etc. Great job! Bethany, I found your definition of a registrar clear and concise. I like the way in which you provided bullet points after each responsibility and duty. I too wrote about registrars at it relates to preventative conservation and found your overall description to be well thought out with consistent citations and created in an appropriate structure. It didn't feel too long because of its organization and it presents the facts without bias. I too thought that it was good that you noted that larger museums may split the job of registrar into registrar and collections manager. I am sure budgets play a big role in this as well. The only edit I could give would to possibly expand on some of the bullet points so that someone who may not know what deaccessioning is could learn. You can also take care of this by linking it to a page on deaccessioning.Aperegoy (talk) 19:46, 15 February 2017 (UTC) Ilana — Preceding unsigned comment added by IlanaBlumen (talkcontribs) [reply]
