Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cover5x.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cover5x.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. A tag has been placed on Space Captain Smith, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. • Hey there! Welcome to wikipedia. I was the one who originally created the Space Captain Smith article. I know all the procedures and stuff can be a bit confusing if you're new, so if you have the time, it's wise to read up on the rules a little. Hopefully, now that Toby's series has produced so much as three novels and there's plenty of additional references, the article can stay. It should. Thanks to re-adding it. • Hey again. I'm sorry to see that JzG has deleted the Space Captain Smith article. I think there is ground to recreate it though. He obviously thought the latest entry was nothing more than a recreation of the previous. This was not the case. You added sufficient, third-party, reliable sources to demonstrate notability. I recommend you do a Deletion review, state your case, and you're likely to get the go-ahead to recreate the article. Good luck! Ottens (talk) 09:57, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of God-Grilla for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article God-Grilla is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/God-Grilla until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 05:25, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
