Marje Üksine

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Marje Üksine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Marje Üksine is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Marje Üksine. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. -- Merope 15:47, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion tags

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. -- Merope 15:50, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles as it is considered vandalism. You may place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page if you oppose an article's speedy deletion. Thanks. -- Merope 17:20, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marje Üksine

[edit]

You keep removing the speedy deletion tags from this article without addressing the issue: namely, that the article does not assert the notability of this artist. Having a webpage does not prove that she is significant; neither does being Estonian. I am not trying to disparage you or Ms. Üksine, but please understand that in order to be included in Wikipedia, an article has to explain why the subject is significant.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag again. You have been warned several times now. -- Merope 17:56, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Benjamin Vasserman

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Benjamin Vasserman, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Does not seem to satisfy notability guidelines per WP:CREATIVE. Article is merely a collection of information with no context and falls under WP:INDISCRIMINATE.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
