Your RFA

yep. I don't know why I couldn't find it. I just assumed it couldn't be one of those popular culture ones. :-) Good luck, it seems that you will be joining the janitor squad soon. Carlossuarez46 16:43, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!

My RFA
Thanks for your support in my request for adminship, which ended with 58 supports, 1 opposes, and 1 neutral. I hope your confidence in me proves to be justified. Addhoc 19:01, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

It's curious that it gets so many hits in SEO keyword pages. Corvus cornix 22:16, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Well, yeah, I meant "curious" as in "suspicious".  :) Corvus cornix 22:23, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Fabrictramp RFA

Thank you for your support in my Request for Adminship, which passed with 50 supports, 1 neutral, and 1 oppose. My goal is to keep earning your trust every time I grab the "mop". (And I'm always open to constructive criticism and advice!) Again, thanks. --Fabrictramp 16:19, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Your RFA

Regarding your RFA, I left you a comment, just wanted to let you know, I trust you 100%, thats not the reason for my oppose(and I know that is all RFA is based on, at its core, and that is why it is Weak, weak oppose.) I have no fears of you going sideways in adminship, only someone else getting access and the harm that could be caused (though this is a wiki, and any harm would be easily reverted), Also Verizon is fine, anything is really, if used at home, but away, very hard to get it all secure. Dureo 01:57, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Your work on Adam Ropp

Thanks so much for your work on the Adam Ropp article, particularly the references. Despite having AfDing it, I may have been overly concerned with the original tone rather than doing the research to flesh it out. Very much my fault. I'm still not entirely convinced his accomplishments merit a WP article but a fair case can be better made now due to your work. Cheers, Pigman 16:24, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Law articles & your RfA

Hi Bearian, thanks for your note on my talk page. I voted to support you in your RfA, which is really saying something, because I normally don't allow myself to get involved in administrative matters around here. I try to avoid the Wiki-drama. Anyway, I hope it works out for you.

By the way, I am attempting a complete rewrite of the merger guidelines article. It is already partially done, but any contribution/improvement you could make would be appreciated. Thanks. --Eastlaw 21:20, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

I added significant information to this article. I think this article can now stay on wikipedia.Cmmmm 14:04, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: Alloplastic adaptation

Hi Bearian, thanks, I saw it was wanted for two years so I found a couple sources and wrote a stub. Hopefully someone with more info will expand it. Also good luck with your RfA, although you don't need any luck, the way things look I think it will pass without problems :) Take care, --Kudret abiTalk 21:54, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Your RFA was successful

Congratulations, I have closed your RfA as successful and you are now a sysop! If you have any questions about adminship, feel free to ask me. Please consider messaging me on IRC for access to the #wikipedia-en-admins channel. Good luck! --Deskana (talk) 22:04, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations on a well-deserved promotion. — TKD::Talk 23:30, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, congratulations... I like to think that as the first to support you I set a trend .iridescent (talk to me!) 23:34, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
No problem and congratulations on being a sysop.--JForget 14:55, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Wield me! Wield me!

Congratulations on your successful RfA. Tradition says now, man your new mop and bucket! Regards, Húsönd 15:22, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations! You'll be a fine admin. :) faithless (speak) 00:54, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations! I expressed my support for your RFA last week on the RFA page. Everyone knows the power of administrators to delete pages in AFD and combat vandalism. However, administrators can also encourage editing and building of the WP encyclopedia. Administrator Reedy Boy gets credit for getting me started editing a lot during my early days of clumsy WP editing.

Edits are the most important foundation of WP as good content is forever but having a good editor leave WP is also potential permanent loss of content. (So being an administrator is more than just a mop!) In contrast, blanking the page can be easily fixed. Good luck with your new license to kill, 008! Archtransit 16:43, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Greetings, Your citation in Organizational Ethics seems to have gotten lost when it was change from manual citations to automatic ones.

Perhaps you could add it again? - Fosnez 05:51, 28 September 2007 (UTC) ---

Thank you for your welcome note. I assume it was also you who suggested merging the Ghost ARmy and Ghost Soldier articles. I left a note about that on the Ghost Army discussion page. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. Rickbeyer 20:31, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

AFD closings

Hi Bearian, and welcome to the team!

To close an AFD, you add {{subst:at}} to the top of the AFD discussion, followed by the result (Keep, Delete, or No consensus), and (optionally) a brief explanation. You remove the category line, and finally you add {{subst:ab}} to the bottom of the discussion.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions. NawlinWiki 16:00, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia has a new administrator!

Thanks, ArchivesLateSept2007!
Thank you for voicing your opinion in my RfA, which passed today with a unanimous 79/0/0 tally. It feels great to be appreciated, and I will try my best to meet everyone's expectations. If you have any advice or tips, feel free to pass them along, as I am sure that I will need them! Cheers, hmwith talk 21:21, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

As for the drinking games, someone has to keep those articles inline! =) They become full of unsourced house rules. Once I realized this, I cleaned up the articles and patrol them regularly. hmwith talk 21:21, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Are you sure you didn't miss...

I saw you support this RfA and then oppose this one based on lack of experience. In case you didn't notice, Samulili also contributed to En Wiki under another username (EnSamulili) as mentioned on that rfa page. If you knew that already, please ignore this message. :) And congrats on passing your RfA. I didn't support, but only because I knew it had no trouble passing. - TwoOars (Rev) 01:08, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

That is different from the Czech editor, User:Aktron, who is already a sysop elsewhere,: Yeah, but Samulili is a sysop on Commons and the Finnish Wikipedia; that is exactly why I was curious as to why your decision would be so different between two cases so similar. :) But never mind. It won't really matter a lot in the long run anyway. - TwoOars (Rev) 15:57, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Actually Samulili mentioned it in his nomination statement: I'm an admin on a couple of projects, mostly in the Finnish Wikipedia and Commons. But I see you have done your own research :). Glad to see that you reconsidered. See you around. - TwoOars (Rev) 08:28, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Your RfA

You're very welcome! I'm very glad to see that you passed. Well done and happy editing! Lradrama 13:25, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Your RFA

Well done indeed and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to support. Mind you.... I really appreciate your comments and questions, especially since you have such a tough reputation - Eeek! I don't do I? I'm nice on the inside, honest!! Pedro :  Chat  13:27, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Congrats. You are welcome. I'm glad. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 14

As for your comments on my talk page, this article is in no way a candidate for speedy deletion. That this person's firm's mutual fund outperformed the S&P 500 8 years in a row is not only an assertion of notability, but such a feat garnered in depth profiles of this person from The Nightly Business Report and the Rocky Mountain News among other outlets. I've never seen an article that so easily passes WP:BIO get a speedy tag. Everything besides the education background is doubly fully referenced by reliable sources, more so than I've seen in any biographies. I would reconsider your assessment of this article's subject to speedy deletion.--Oakshade 20:57, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

The "under construction" tag is not going to help remove the speedy tag, as I'm not planning on doing major work on the article in the near future so I'm going to remove that tag. As with many articles, improvement is a long ongoing effort. But in no way is this article a candidate for speedy deletion and this fully referenced article that's the subject of several in depth secondary sources would be restored in DRV very quickly.--Oakshade 21:06, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Re: ownership comment... nah, only focused on getting an inappropriate speedy tag removed. As for editing, I'm certainly not going to stand in the way of improvements. I would take the "cup of tea," but any unenlightened admin (those do exist) could delete the article at any time, so it's a bit hard to be at-ease. --Oakshade 21:16, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
And I do thank you for taking a level headed look into this matter. --Oakshade 21:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
