Hey, I readded and cleaned up the beer games section to keg, as it fits better there. Keg stand is about one particular game. I'm going to do some more work on keg. --AW (talk) 20:25, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. Probably best to try a stand alone Keg games article if you feel it's notable enough. The games section doesn't belong in the Keg article, and that's certainly a less fitting place than in another article which is already about a keg game. I suggest moving Keg stand to Keg games and detail in there the sort of games that people play with kegs, including Keg stand. Would you like me to do it for you? SilkTork *YES! 20:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's ok as it is, I'm not sure the other games are that notable - it's stuff like run around and drink beer. I cut the keg games section down a lot. --AW (talk)
I've just started expanding the Keg stand article into a more comprehensive Keg games article and renamed it. See what you think. If you don't like it it can be moved back, but I think it gives more credibility to the keg stand game or ritual, putting it in context, and providing scope for the article to expand beyond its current limitations. It also gets the keg games section out of the Keg article where it clearly does not belong. Let me know what you think. SilkTork *YES! 20:56, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, hold up! Let's talk about this. I have a number of concerns. --AW (talk) 20:52, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I won't do any more edits on either article for at least 12 hours. Give you time to think about my proposal, and either run with it, or counter it and provide a decent reason why student games should be included in a serious article on a beer container. SilkTork *YES! 21:00, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, let's say "potentially" serious article - Keg does need not a lot of work yet! SilkTork *YES! 21:02, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it definitely does need work, I did some already. But as for keg stand and keg games, I think these are two separate things - a keg stand isn't really a game, it's its own thing, with lots of news articles and such about it. "Keg games" to me is a nebulous term, which why I think it shouldn't be its own article. What is a keg game? A game that involves beer from a keg? But many drinking games can just as easily use beer from cans or bottles. Or is it a game involves using the keg itself? I dunno. I think any games should be mentioned in the keg article if there are reliable sources, just like anything else. Just because they are games, it doesn't mean they don't deserve to be on there - again, if they have sources. Also, a "kegger" is just another name for a party that has a keg at it, it's not a game or anything. Maybe this is all American/Aussie stuff. --AW (talk) 21:15, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on José Azueta (sailor) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ~~Meldshal42 (talk) 19:27, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've always thought disambiguation using a (noun) in parens was to be used as a last resort and that it was preferable to disambiguate using a natural name (middle initial, full name, second surname -- which works nicely with Spanish-culture names, of course). Of course, now I go to look through WP:NC in support of that belief, I find no evidence. If you truly object, please move it back; if nothing else, it'll leave the redirect in place. (Outrageous that it got proposed for speedying, by the way: the moral is not to save before you've finished a good first draft, I suppose.) Aille (talk) 20:41, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I was looking too but didn't see anything. That's a good point about the disambigs though, that works for me. I'll fix the double redirects and stuff. And thanks about the speedy! :) --AW (talk) 20:42, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
(Post edit conflict) Hang on -- Perhaps he should even be at José Azueta, with a hat-note pointing to the dab page? Since the two places were (re)named after him, that kind of sounds like he's the primary topic. Aille (talk) 20:45, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, that sounds good. You want to move it? --AW (talk) 20:49, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I get to do the honors? OK. Aille (talk) 20:52, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks --AW (talk) 20:52, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
José Azueta moved to José Azueta (disambiguation), but it won't let me move José Azueta Abad over the new redirect. Admin powers needed, I'm afraid. Could you? Aille (talk) 20:55, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure --AW (talk) 20:57, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All done! --AW (talk) 21:00, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
