Wondering if you have source suggestions
[edit]Hi, Aronoel,
I see you and I are watching some of the same articles. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for the source lists I keep in user space for all of us wikipedians to use in updating articles. I get the impression that you and I joined Wikipedia at just about the same time, and definitely I feel that I am still getting to know my way around here. I'll appreciate learning from your perspective on issues as we keep editing here. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 16:58, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Delusions of Gender review by Diane F. Halpern
[edit]Hi Aronoel, I believe the review you are looking for is this one http://www.sciencemag.org/content/330/6009/1320.full - I can access it, so I'm not sure if access is limited otherwise. Tell me if you can't read it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hypocryptickal (talk • contribs) 13:49, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Thank you
[edit]On my talk page you gave me a helpful bit of info and a link that aided my integration into the wiki community a great deal and I would like to thank you for doing so, Cheers! Rpm2005 (talk) 06:35, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Sailor Moon, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - Sorry, I thought I was undoing the vandalism, not adding it back. That was pretty stupid of me! Thanks for letting me know though. --Aronoel (talk) 05:07, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Dispute
[edit]Hello,
It is unfortunate that you felt the need to try to strong arm me over the sex and psychology edits. I believe you unfairly deleted my first reversal. I did not simply just reverse it. I took into account your criticisms and moved the appropriate sections. I also deleted some of the extraneous information. After the second reversal I made it clear that I wanted to work out something we both could agree on and was not opposed to an additional revision by you. Please do not become aggressive over this. I understand that as a feminist you have a vested interest in how these articles are portrayed. I do as well. I feel we can work together to make these articles robust from outside criticism and most importantly, we can make sure that the articles concisely represent the information in the most accurate way possible. In fact, I think we have a great opportunity to work together to ensure that none of these articles become biased in favor of MRA or Feminist ideology. I actively want to pursue phrasing that is as objective and fair as possible and want you to work with me. Most of the changes that you have made to what I have wrote I have accepted, so please don't say that I am being uncooperative. In addition, I would appreciate that you don't charge me with edit waring when I make significant changes and not just a straight reversal.
I am very aware of how controversial an issue this is and I fully expect we will get on each others nerves due to our different interpretations of studies. However, we have a great opportunity to bring balance to these issues and I ask that you help me by working with me.Phoenixlanding (talk) 22:39, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- I appreciate your comments and your interest in working collaboratively on articles. However, I disagree that I have been "strong-arming" you or aggressive. Yesterday, you didn't comment on my objections on the talk page, even though you were participating in discussions at Feminism. I assumed you were done discussing it or were ignoring it and I reverted your changes. Today, I was frustrated by how many times you made reverts (including in Feminism) before even discussing anything on the talk page. Currently, your preferred version is the live one, even though I think that was technically more than 3 total reverts. I think our disagreement is fine and will ultimately result in a more balanced article, but I don't think editing behavior like this is acceptable, and I hope that you don't do it in the future. Please, finish discussions on the talk page before making more article changes that are controversial. As long as you do that, I don't think we will have problems in the future. --Aronoel (talk) 22:50, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- It was an honest mistake I didn't comment. I didn't notice it was there. I apologize for that and will definitely try to be more careful in the future.Phoenixlanding (talk) 22:40, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, I appreciate your apology and I apologize for the edit war warning, I think it was just a misunderstanding. --Aronoel (talk) 22:45, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Dispute Resolution Process
[edit]Hello, Aronoel. I've noticed that you have taken a step in the Dispute Resolution Process by posting in WQA. Please note that it is recommended that you advise the other party of your complaint filing so that they are aware of it, and so that they have a chance to respond.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Gerardw (talk) 22:08, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Edit warring
[edit]Aronoel, edit warring is unjustified, so please stop doing it, it's very disruptive. Please replace the dispute tags on the Femininity article until the dispute is resolved. If you can't provide reliable sources for the claims you're making, it's not unreasonable for other editors to respectfully ask that you find sources to support your claims. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. USchick (talk) 17:00, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, multiple other editors have already removed the tags and have provided sources for all of the disputed material. I don't know what else I can do for you at this point. --Aronoel (talk) 17:10, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- First, you can replace the dispute tags that you removed. Then you can provide accurate sources for the edits that you made. Thank you so much. USchick (talk) 17:14, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- I didn't remove them originally, it was Fistoffoucault. But I support his removal because everything in those sections is referenced. --Aronoel (talk) 17:17, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- If it's referenced, why is there an ongoing dispute on the talk page in different sections? Fistoffoucault has only been registered for two days and may be a sockpuppet for all we know. His activity should not influence your participation in edit warring. USchick (talk) 17:23, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- You are the only person who is disputing these sections, and there are many other editors involved besides Fistoffoucault. Anyway, I'm not adding the tags back now because I believe people have provided more than enough references. I'm not going to discuss this any more on my talk page, but you can continue to make comments at Talk:Femininity.--Aronoel (talk) 17:29, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- It only takes one editor to dispute something, especially when a source does not support the statement. Also, please address the use of the shaman image on the talk page, instead of just adding it back in without discussion. I'm removing it per discussion on the talk page. USchick (talk) 17:33, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

You should come hang out with us on the internetz!
[edit]Hi! I wanted to let you know that we have created an IRC channel for "countering systemic bias one new editor at a time", aka closing the gender gap! Come hang out at #wikimedia-gendergap if that subject interests you. We hope this channel can serve as a safe haven to hang out, talk about Wiki, brainstorming, increasing women's participation in Wikimedia, article alerts and foster friendships. I hope you join us! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
