Fox References on CNN's Wikipage
Hi Arnon, I appreciate your dilligence. Please take a look at the CNN article and recent edits concerning Fox News. Also take a look at my explanation given in the Discussion section. I have no problem with either of these networks. However, it is my understanding that the articles on Wikipedia should be unbiased. It is clear that there is someone introducing bias into an otherwise neutral article by mentioning a statistic about another 'competing' network. In the spirit of Wikipedia, I would like to keep the article as neutral as possible, as doing otherwise with a topic such as CNN invites true vandalism. Please reconsider your revert. Thanks. --Daydreamer302000 15:36, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Just so we're cool, I'm going to go ahead and reinstate my change (on the assumptioin that you are ok with it since my talk page has been edited). If I mis-understood, please revert and send me another message. Also, if you do revert, would you mind adding to the discussion page explaining to myself and others why such references are valid? Thanks again! :) --Daydreamer302000 15:48, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
RE:Vandal
I saw him well through my watchlist and recent changes, it was you beating me to the revert, but because I use Twinkle, I can semi-automatically issue warnings. Evilclown93 20:42, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok, man... There's this guy, Klp. who keeps harrassing me with being a sock puppet. He vandalized my page calling me a sock puppet. LAcfm 00:53, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Your reversion of my edit
Hi, why did you undo my edit to Devasahayam Pillai? Fayenatic london (talk) 13:05, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Dear Arnon
Dear Arnon, I didn't want to go to bed without thanking you first for your beautiful gift. It will have a place of honor in my page, I promise :) I see that you're becoming quite the vandal fighter yourself - way to go! I'm not sure if you're aware of it, but there are several tools that you might find useful in the task. If you need my help with a few pointers, you know just where to find me right? ;) Once again, thank you so much, and whistle if you need my help! Cheers, Phaedriel - 13:56, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
For goodness sake...
Perhaps there's some obscure Wikipedia policy I'm unaware of, but I cannot believe there is any reason to a) revert my edits, and b) give me a vandalism warning for blanking a page in my own user space? It was an article idea I had ages ago, I started playing around with it in my userspace, quickly abandoned it as unworkable and am now blanking it while doing a bit of maintenence. Or I was trying to, anyway... Please be more careful in future. Angmering 22:48, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I see you've already sorted this. Thanks. :-) Angmering 22:49, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Users 23904 and Rector647
I'm the same person. I'm trying to change my username, but 23904 wasn't acceptable, and I was unable to move it to Rector647 while signed in with that name. Now my pages are all messed, and I'm trying to sort it out. Rector647 13:41, 3 May 2007 (UTC) (also known asUser:Psyklek

yes its nice to know that there are people on wikipedia that look out for other people. MasterEditor99 17:56, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Ditto. I appreciate your help. Rockpocket 18:06, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hi again, Arnon. You are doing great antivandal work here, so thanks again for that. If I could offer a little advice, though, you might wish to consider whether reverts like this one are really needed. No all large scale deletions are bad things. The editor is certainly not a vandal (his reasoning is clear in the edit summary) so you shouldn't really revert him without explaining why in your edit summary. Moreover, he is deleting the material in good faith. If Localzuk would prefer to have the deleted material returned, he could revert it himself. Anyway I just thought I would pass the on for future reference, keep up the good work! Rockpocket 23:06, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Reverting administrators
Hello Arnon Chaffin. Please do not revert administrators without explanation, as you did a few moments ago; we can generally assume administrators' edits are not vandalism. :) —{admin} Pathoschild 19:28:59, 03 May 2007 (UTC)
- sorry I got mixed up Arnon Chaffin 19:34, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- That's okay; I assumed it wasn't deliberate. —{admin} Pathoschild 19:37:18, 03 May 2007 (UTC)
Your Improper Reverting
I undid my discussion on Localzuks's page per the: "Remove or summarize resolved disputes that you initiated." Thus, I and only I have the right to remove the discussion or to change it, and I took full advantage of that right. Any further reverting it back and I will complain about you violating my right. Thank you. SanchiTachi 23:29, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- I don't mind too much, its just that he (the guy you reverted) didn't seem to understand that same rule and was reverting back discussions that I started elsewhere, even though Ettiquette rule basically requires me to delete ended conversations instead of clogging Wiki. SanchiTachi 23:40, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
The sorry message
Oh. I see you replied to a comment which was earlier left on my talk page. Please note: I did not leave that comment, but it was an ip vandal who was causing advertising in the sandbox, who I warned, and responded without starting a new section on my talkpage disrupting the topic. Just to let you know. Eaomatrix 15:02, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Gaia Online Protection
You have to request protection at Wikipedia:Requests for Protection. Wildthing61476 21:14, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Gaia Online
Hey - we can't actually protect it actually. That template just lets you know that a page is protected. Only admins can actually put protection on a page. I have put in a request at WP:RFPP so it should hopefully be protected soon. Cheers for trying though. Will (aka Wimt) 21:15, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- No worries. Malo has just semiprotected it now so hopefully that should sort it :-) Will (aka Wimt) 21:21, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Vandals
Thank you. I spend more time than most admins deleting vandalisms, so I get hit quite a lot.--Anthony.bradbury 22:19, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you. I think that I am now in the top ten of vandalised userpages, so the more help I can get, the better.--Anthony.bradbury 22:24, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's 65 vandalisms to my userpage and 15 to my talk page, but I could be 2 or 3 out either way, because some friends revert en masse and the count goes haywire.--Anthony.bradbury 22:29, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks!

Vandals
Yes, I am sure that they do hate me. I spend an average of four hours daily deleting or blocking them at WP:AIV and at WP:CSD. It's what I do. The more vandals I attract, the more we can identify and deal with. This is OK. If it ever gets to the point when my pages are being vandalised continuously, then OK, I can protect them. But for the moment I am happy to shoot down vandals as they put their heads up.--Anthony.bradbury 22:35, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi. These are two articles with the same content - just a slightly different name. I merged them, and you then undid my merge. I have put the redirect back in place. Please take a look at both articles. If you are still uncertain why I have merged them then please come and have a chat. I have tea and cookies available! Regards SilkTork 23:58, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Hey Arnie!
Hey Arnie! :) How are you doing? Regarding test templates, it's pretty easy, in fact. You may have seen our page on test templates by now, as your question seems to indicate. There's a progression in which they should be escalated, starting by test1 and ending at test4. Test5 is the blocking message, that is posted by administrators notifying the user of the block. I also recommend that you substitute the templates, since this reduces the load of our servers. So instead of posting {{test1}} you should put instead:{{subst:test1}}. This copies the contents of the template straight into the talk page. With each vandalism, the next step of "test" should be posted at the editor's talk page. If after test4, s/he continues to vandalize, you should go into Administrators' Intervention against Vandalism and report him/her. That page contains detailed information on how to file a report. As usual, if you need further info or help, you know just where to find me, right? ;) Take good care! Phaedriel - 16:29, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for the compliment I just like stoping vandals from destroying the hard work of all our wikipedians. DBZROCKS 23:17, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Regarding my edits
Hi Arnon,
I have been managing editing BITS Pilani for quite a while now. I have wikified the article considerably. I am adding images now. Please check the history to see my contribution to the article.
Regarding my current edit of removing external links, someone had placed a note that this article has too many external links. Therefore, having been an alumni of this institution, i removed the links that are not very relevant. For example, i removed the external link that involved the President of the nation addressing the university which i do not think is relevant.
So, my edits are justified.
Thanks

Hi Arnon,
Please review the edits before reverting the changes. I am reverting back to my version of removing certain irrelevant links.
Cheers Vinwe 14:54, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
No worries. I see you are a recent changes patroller. I appreciate what you are doing. No harm done. Cheers Vinwe 14:58, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Your reverting of Institute of Management Technology
Hello,
I think you deleted my post by accident while deleting a barrage of vandalism on your talk page. I'm reproducing my message below.
<--start of message-->
Hello Arnon,
You reverted my revert of an anon IP on this article. I'm sure your actions were in good faith. To give you a little background, anon IPs have been adding a lot of non-NPOV stuff on the article for a long time. I've been trying to prune it for a long time now. Please read the article as it is in the current state and I'm sure you'll agree that it reads like a marketing brochure. If you find the reasons for my edits satisfactory, please revert the article yourself. Thanks, Max - You were saying? 16:18, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
<--end of message-->
I have gone ahead and reverted your changes, because I can't bear to see the article in the state it is right now. Do drop me a line if you feel this is inappropriate. Max - You were saying? 18:04, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- No problem at all. Regards, Max - You were saying? 18:25, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks so much for the beautiful poem and your kind words, Arnie! I'm so proud to see you establishing yourself more and more, and your hard work is admirable. For that reason, I'm honored to give you your first gift in Wikipedia, which I'm sure will be followed by many, many others. Once again, thank you, and keep the great work up! :) Love, Phaedriel - 23:53, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Good evening (GMT time); please follow these guidelines for reporting users at WP:AIV:
- Anonymous Users (IP addresses)
- Registered Users
- {{Vandal|username}} optional brief reason for listing (keep it short) ~~~~
- {{Userlinks|username}} optional brief reason for listing (keep it short) ~~~~
This provides some very handy links, to make us sysop's jobs easier when dealing with reports ;) don't hesitate to give me a shout if you need a hand ~ Anthony 16:13, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Re. Personalized test templates
Thank you for the kind words regarding my test templates, Arnie! :) Of course you can make your own; the best way is to create them in your userspace, i.e. at User:Arnon Chaffin/test. Be creative! Like someone said with great wisdom once, there's a difference between treating Wikipedia like a playground, and treating it as a place where you can whistle while you work. A good text might help you get through where a stern template cannot. If you want me to design a table or a box with an image for your own test template, just let me know,k? Have a beautiful day! :) Phaedriel - 04:17, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
