Tulsa

[edit]

You may wish to look at the discussion at Talk:Tulsa race massacre before making more changes. And a change of capitalization is not a "grammar correction." Acroterion (talk) 02:57, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Acroterion, FWIW, it's a mobile editor. Probably faced with a limited number of canned edit summaries, they chose the one that seemed closest. Looks like they just discovered on their most recent edit that they could use something not canned. Probably haven't found talk pages yet. Valereee (talk) 18:42, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I await the day when the WMF decides that mobile editors should be able to see communications so they can contribute effectively. Acroterion (talk) 22:42, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Rosewood massacre, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please see MOS:RACECAPS, and the footnote at h. Donald Albury 18:18, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I moved this to draft space; please don't put completely unreferenced and uncategorized drafts in article space. Drmies (talk) 21:28, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Escaping the Madhouse: The Nellie Bly Story a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Escaping the Madhouse: The Nellie Bly Story. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Death Note (2006 TV series)
