Issues sent to dispute resolution
Hi AngussWOOF. Because our progress on the "National drinks" page was somewhat stalled I sought the assistance of dispute resolution: {{drn-notice}}. Hopefully you're willing to particpate in the process and with the help of other editors we can move forward. Thanks, BrieDeChevre (talk) 14:31, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
- BrieDeChevre, thanks, I have aired my concerns there. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:08, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hello AngusWOOF. User: Robert McClenon closed the case on the dispute resolution noticeboard and so please see his comments. As I interpret what he said, we should move the draft into article space and then on the article's talk page copy and paste our discussion that we've had on the draft's talk page and see then what editors think about a "delete discussion". My understanding is that there isn't an issue with a "redirect" because there is no "National drinks" page. Do you agree with my interpretation? If not, what do you think our next step should be? Thanks. BrieDeChevre (talk) 23:40, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hi AngusWOOF. Please see my message above so we can move forward with our issue. Thanks. BrieDeChevre (talk) 20:42, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- BrieDeChevre, my concerns have been addressed. I'll go ahead and push for making this article official. Thanks again for all your efforts! AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:32, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- BrieDeChevre, the article is live now at National drink with National drinks and List of national drinks as redirects. Please help add or clean up the links from other articles that might refer to it. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:31, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

- Hi AngusWOOF. I'm super duper excited that the page has gone live, but I think that the page should be called "National drinks", with an "s", not "National drink". The page listing national liquors in entitled "List of national liquors", not "List of national liquor". A companion page to the drinks pages is called "National dish", but I think a better name for that page would be "National dishes". In my mind, to be consistent we could have "National dishes", "National drinks", and "National liquors". Do you have control over the names of those other pages? Thanks, and I'll clean up and add the links as you suggested from other articles after your response to the issue I just brought up. BrieDeChevre (talk) 18:30, 10 June 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.167.176.54 (talk)
- BrieDeChevre, if it's going to be a plural then it should be renamed List of national (plural), as with National bird, National tree. If there is a separate article about what National (singular) is, like with National anthem, then retain that singular. Are you okay with List of national drinks then? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:54, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi AngusWOOF. Let's go with "National drink", as was your intention. Thanks so much! BrieDeChevre (talk) 01:31, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- BrieDeChevre, it's been renamed to List of national drinks. That should be okay for now. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:50, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Seeing Machines
Hi Angus
Thank you for all the feedback. Can you have another look at the page for me please?
I have trimmed it down completely and tried to be as neutral as possible. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.12.195.243 (talk) 22:42, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- 203.12.195.243, please see Drmies's comments at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Seeing_Machines&oldid=900660917 This needs more secondary news sources and cleanup in tone. The timeline should be converted to prose and sourced with external news articles. Are you sure they designed that particular Driver Monitoring System? I don't see that name mentioned at all in that article, which references Toyota/Lexus instead. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:03, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks Angus. Hey, I told one of my students that you were something of an expert on K-pop, J-pop, all other pop, etc. and that they might ask you some questions about sourcing for those topics--let's see if I remember their name correctly: Historynerd52. I hope you don't mind; you have a ton of experience in that area, certainly compared with me. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 21:03, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Drmies, we could refer your students to WP:KO/RS, WP:ANIME/RS, WP:CHART, and of course WP:RSP for sourcing suggestions? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 03:24, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Polyarch (talk ⋅ contribs) 05:40, 13 June 2019 (UTC) Thank you for reading the draft! I understand that the page probably didn't have enough references, i think i submitted it too early. I'll continue to work on it!
Draft:Poitiers Campus, Sciences Po
Hello AngusWOOF. Please revert the name change of the page. This is not a US university. The European norm is to place the campus name, followed by the university name. For example Royal Holloway, University of London or Balliol College, Oxford.
In France, there are numerous IEP (Instituts d'études politiques). The Paris one, called Sciences Po has six decentralised campuses, including the one in Poitiers. The other IEP are often called Sciences Po Lille, or Sciences Po Grenoble for example. Calling the Poitiers Campus, Sciences Po Poitiers will lead to confusion over its relationship with Sciences Po. Thanks for the other edits, by the way.
Update: Just noticed you've changed it back. Thank you very much!
— Preceding unsigned comment added by Oscargarnier (talk • contribs) 17:06, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- Oscargarnier, I've reverted the name, but it still needs independent notability. Please find more sources that aren't coming from the school institution itself. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:15, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, Very well, will do. Thank you for your help. Oscargarnier
- AngusWOOF, Hello. I would be grateful if you could review Draft:Poitiers Campus, Sciences Po again. I have added additional external sources. Thanks. Oscargarnier
You know there is nothing to discuss; it's just manga trivia. Dr Aaij (talk) 20:25, 14 June 2019 (UTC)

World Cheese Awards
Hi AngusWOOF, I have included further sources and information to indicate the independent notability of the World Cheese Awards from the Guild of Fine Food as requested. Please can you let me know if my updates have been sufficient. Many thanks, Emma1119995 (talk) 18:09, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
Hello AngusWOOF,
I created a draft for Serial Box and it was looked at by you 7 days ago, but was not approved or declined. I would love to hear any feedback so that I may get my article approved and published. Could you take another look whenever you get a second? I really appreciate your assistance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Serial_Box Sthreadgill (talk) 16:36, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
- Sthreadgill, I see that it's been resubmitted, so any AFC reviewer should be able to look at it. I would try to get rid of any advertising tone as that would likely put off reviewers from approving. Also if you can identify WP:THREE key articles that describe the service, that would be helpful. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:53, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
Hi AngusWOOF,

List of Beyblade Burst Gachi episodes
Hi Angus, You Said That My Page "List of Beyblade Burst Gachi episodes" Was Not Well Source But I Did The Source Just Like It Was on The List of Beyblade Burst Turbo episodes Page, Could You Possibly Give Me Some Tips on The Page? Thanks! Turbo Achilles (talk) 17 June 2019 —Preceding undated comment added 03:35, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- You need links to the actual episodes on youtube or a schedule to show title and episodes are being logged. If you can find the season in Media Arts Database, that would be helpful too. Also more sources as to how the ONA series is notable. Same with official website. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:23, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- Turbo Achilles, I filled in the episode links from the YouTube websites. The videos themselves are viewable only in Japan though but at least those confirm the titles and the release dates. I'll go ahead and approve the version and create redirects for the episode season. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:26, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

Declined wiki
I fully under stand your reason for declining the wiki I submitted but I'm asking you to reconsider. I wish there was more info about this girl out there sadly she doesn't make media appearances so I can't link anymore sources. I can chanced the wording to that it's claimed and not confirmed information by the person. This wiki was only meant as a key stone to build off of, I'll see what changes I can make to fit better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Juggernaut1234 (talk • contribs) 04:54, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

I'm doing this now (reception)
I've just added the ratings but I'm struggling to get it placed properly on the article. This is a very significant album as explained in the notes and in the article itself. I decided to put these through the draft rather than straight into the article space to allow other users to strengthen this before finally accepting it to the article space. I've worked very hard on this. The Key Draft Music Editor 2017 (talk) 17:58, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- Music Editor 2017, that's fine. Having a reception section with detailed critics commentary will help. Also sections on the development and production of the album to flesh out its importance. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:00, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, Thank you!! Can you have a look please, I'm struggling to place the ratings properly on the article!! Hopefully it should be strong enough now for the move to the article space and thank you so much!! :) Music Editor 2017 (talk) 18:03, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF Thanks again Angus, I'm not as familiar with the coding for the review sections as much but worked really hard on this. I've added some key references now though again, it's the placing of them if you want to kindly amend to make sure it's better placed/written and suited but hopefully, finally this can be moved to the article space as I have worked very hard on this since January. Again, I wanted to put it through the draft rather than straight to the article space as it allows other users to contribute and strengthen it before we move it there however please kindly check it now and if you need to neaten it up before moving to the article space, kindly feel free and thank you also for helping and contributing to this. As I say Wikipedia is a collaborative process so I thank you kindly for neatening it up before moving it to the article space and thank you!! :) Music Editor 2017 (talk) 18:18, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
Your draft of a BitcoinSV article
Hi, and thank you for your effort at creating the draft. I have got a list of WP:IRS that may be of use for the article. Hope you do not mind me editing the draft to replace the claims citing unreliable sources by the claims confirmed by WP:IRS and make some other improvements. Ladislav Mecir (talk) 18:01, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
Ladislav Mecir, see Talk:Bitcoin_Cash#Should_Bitcoin_SV_have_its_own_article? and also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bitcoin SV. If you can provide reliable sources that will make this independently notable, go for it. But you'll have to convince the Bitcoin community there whether this will make it notable enough for a split. Articles for creation: Type 901 radar
You kindly left me some notes explaining why my proposed page had been rejected; could you please give me some advice on how to improve the context of its notability and improve the reliable sources, as I do not fully understand. Many Thanks. MerchantOfLight (talk) 16:12, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

The Artist Skaa had a chart position on the Billboard Top Heatseeker Albums chart at #20 out of 25 ttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Heatseekers and is also published in their current news stand issue of Billboard magazine for the Chart position.
I also included more article source references.
Thanks for helping me improve the article if there is anything else I can do to make it better please let me know.

Review of Draft:Megatron (Nicki Minaj song)
Why are external sources more reliable than the artist's social media? And doesn't waiting for the reception and postponing the article going live defeat the whole purpose of people checking Wikipedia to find out about updates on the song? Genuinely just asking, I'm not properly a wikipedia pro. Artursilva0220 (talk) 16:47, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- Artursilva0220, please read WP:PSTS. If you have the secondary news articles that cover her social media posts then those are preferred. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:50, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- Regarding your histmerge tag, wouldn't this be a case of parallel histories? I had no idea this user was working on a draft because I had never heard of them. Personally I don't really care if the draft is histmerged into the article, but in the past (in some cases) it's been deemed unnecessary if the only user who worked on the other article was the same user who copied their own content into an existing article. Or at least, admins have deemed that to be the case in several previous instances. Ss112 17:36, 20 June 2019 (UTC)

- I understand what happened, but several minutes before, I started the page as a stub. Artursilva0220 then copied their content over my basic layout, so in some cases this is determined to be parallel histories (however, in this case, my one edit after Lichtt's redirect might not be considered much of a substantial history). Gum Girl
Hi. take a look at the edit history of author's other books Cloud Boy (page as created [1], Pablo's Inferno (page when created [2]), and at author Rhode Montijo's page when first created: [3]. It looks to me like this is an author aho self-promotes by author logging in, creates newbie-looking pages for his books, himself, makes some other edits, and disappears. It's fairly harmless, I mean, it's not like he's editing to persuade readers that measles vaccines are dangerous. But I wish I hadn't supported him by taking the time to source the page.E.M.Gregory (talk) 18:24, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- E.M.Gregory, do you know which accounts he used to create the page? We could tag the pages and accounts with COI if they contributed substantial content to those articles and it appears to be influenced heavily by the author. If Fiona is connected to the author, then she could be tagged for that too. Thanks for digging up those critic's reviews links and analysis. Adding that section will help neutralize it. The TNT can be applied to the characters list as well since it is not sourced. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:01, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- Page Rhode Montijo was created by a short-lived editor who created small number of pages [4] including Big Umbrella and Cloud Boy, thinly sourced pages about 2 books Montijo wrote . Big Umbrella was expanded by a series of short-lived editors with overlapping interests: [5], [6], https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions/Better_smile&offset=&limit=500&target=Better+smile], [7], [8], [9], [10]. Nocturan Warrior has edited both Cloud Boy [11]], and Big Umbrella [12]. Fireisborn and Wraith 123 have edited Rhode Montijo: [13]. These are two obscure children's books.CoolabahappleE.M.Gregory (talk) 19:45, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- Here's another short-lived editor [14] creating a page on a book Montijo illustrated Melvin Beederman series, without sources, at the same time the editors above were active. Again using what look like sockpuppets [15], [16].E.M.Gregory (talk) 19:53, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- At least with Cloud Boy, Coolabahapple added some reviews, but the other comic can be tagged for notability if it doesn't have reliable sources. I can't tell whether those random editors have COI. If the article has detailed critical reviews, some of which could be negative on the material, and if they show up to try to defend or to delete it, then that should surface as potential COI. We can tag those articles as

- hi AngusWOOF, and E.M.Gregory, i added the two reviews kirkus, and PW to Cloud Boy relatively early in my WP editing when i was a bit literal about notability ie. multiple reviews equals two or more, found two therefore okay, nowadays if i could only find two ("trade") reviews i would still add them but might also add my concerns on the talkpage about technically meeting WP:NBOOK but hoping that another editor could add more (i actually have on my lappie a number of ozzie/nz/british kids book articles that i have half started/not finished as i've only found two tradie reviews for them), with Cloud Boy i see Worldcat shows holdings of 150 libraries, and 160 libraries (for spanish/bi-lingual texts) so it could be deemed reasonably "well known" for a 12year old picture book (actually not unexpected when reviewd by kirkus, and PW), anyway dont have an issue if articles are merged/redirected to author page. Coolabahapple (talk) 15:18, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks. My concern is that presence in multiple libraries doesn't really imply notability. WP:BKTS. For example, the Katie Kazoo, Switcheroo series takes a big section at the library here, but isn't enough to get its own article so it redirects to Nancy Krulik. But the Kirkus and Publishers Weekly reviews are indeed helpful towards WP:BKCRIT AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:56, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- yep, i agree, i use library holdings as an indication that if there are lots of libraries that have a book there are probably reviews available, if low holdings than unlikely (but not impossible, confession: if i like a book than dig, dig, dig, "dammit there must be reviews somewhere! aaarrggghhhh! oh well, another gem to lappie's not (yet) wikinotable for an article folder" "groan" says my laptop that has numerous files choking up her hard drive.). declined draft - RED MUSIC
Hi AngusWOOF Regarding my draft for RED MUSIC that you declined: Although you have pointed out that there is a historical association between RED MUSIC and RED Distribution, they are separate entities that serve different business purposes and should be treated separately for wiki purposes. Additionally, RED Distribution is no longer an active entity. RED MUSIC is a newly created record label as of 2017. As the cited Billboard article indicates, RED Distribution's sales team and labels were merged into The Orchard and RED MUSIC was created as a new division of Sony Music.

- 63.139.228.146, you could rename that article to Red Music as it houses the official website for it, and then Red Distribution would be the former name. There really isn't enough to say about RED Music that isn't already on that article. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:12, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
- Red Distribution's article is now renamed to Red Music and covers all Sony / Orchard Red related brands. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:59, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
Butch Nash
Hello AngusWOOF, you had reviewed my article submission on June 6 for Butch Nash.Draft:Butch_Nash I have sense made revisions and added diverse sources. Kindly requesting you to re-review and approve. As for your question on why he is not mentioned in Minnesota Golden Gophers football, I would love to have my article linked there under the "other notable coaches and players" section and would like to be able to show them this article as a summation of both his career as both an awarded coach and player. Thank you!

When I last messaged AldezD
When I last messaged AldezD about an anonymous user's minor edit to Legends of the Hidden Temple, I also informed that user (AldezD) that I've got a Change.org petition going to get Legends back on the air, since we already got a Double Dare reboot last year. From what I remember, the person operating the DeviantArt Facebook page said that I shouldn't be sharing my petition while watching the roll call live video that was shown on one of my final days on Facebook and Instagram. Of the things that Wikipedia isn't, Wikipedia probably isn't a site to be sharing a Change.org petition. And no, I haven't put the link anywhere here.

Hello AngusWOOF, thank you for taking the time to look at the article submission. "Network Neuroscience" and Neural Networks are actually very different things. Network Neuroscience is a new up-and-coming field of neuroscience that was established fairly recently (late 2000's). The first Network Neuroscience journal only began publishing articles in 2017, and textbooks on the topic have been around only since 2012, with new ones published more recently. While neural networks are generally artificial computing mechanisms based on brain networks used to complete powerful computations, network neuroscience is not a classification system or a learning mechanism. Rather network neuroscience is introspective, using graph theory to gain deeper insights into true neuroscientific questions of how we think, how diseases manifest in the brain, how the brain changes throughout development, etc.
Because it is still relatively new in the grand scheme of things, I believe that it deserves a wikipedia page to educate and disambiguate, even though there are plenty of other areas around the web that provide great explanations for this branch of science. I expect the article to expand rapidly once it is on the radar of scientists in this field.
I hope to find a way to introduce this topic to the wikipedia community!
Pnkchd (talk) 15:51, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
- Pnkchd, you need to add the foundation pieces to show the term is mainstream and distinct from neural networks. You need news articles and journals that use the term exclusively. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:39, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi there! Thank you for your comment. I appreciate that the Oppenstein Brothers are covered in passing in the page dedicated to their park. However, don't you think that if a family is relevant enough to have a park named in their honor, they could also have enough relevance to a community to merit a Wikipedia page? The sources I have used are relevant; some of them are from the Kansas City Public Library, and some are shared with the park page. The Oppenstein brothers have done quite a bit of good in Kansas City through their charitable foundation, but their history is largely unknown.

Review of Soil Science Certification and Licensing
Hello AngusWOOF. Thank you for your review of my draft article, Review of Soil Science Certification and Licensing. I agree that soil science certification is relevant to the Soil Science Society of America article. However, my draft article covers Soil science certification in the US (overseen by the SSSA), soil science licensing in the US (overseen by individual licensing boards for each state that has a licensing program, though tests are administered by the SSSA), and soil science certification in Australia (overseen by Soil Science Australia, which is not affiliated with the SSSA). Therefore, I believe the contents of this article is beyond the scope of the Soil Science Society of America page. In addition, as other countries adopt soil science certification, they too can be added to this Soil Science Certification and Licensing article, and they would also not be affiliated with the Soil Science Society of America. Can you please reconsider your review of this article?
Thank you, ColbyDigsSoil (talk) 15:34, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
- ColbyDigsSoil, thanks for your feedback. I changed up the headers for the draft. Can you put in more references to support each of the sections? Also convert embedded links such as Soil Science Australia into either references or Wikipedia links (if those organizations have articles). AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:10, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
- ColbyDigsSoil, see if you can use this reference to an occupation handbook [17] . Also any more news sources and articles outside of SSSA and SSA would be helpful. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:13, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
New Page Review newsletter July-August 2019
Hello AngusWOOF,
- WMF at work on NPP Improvements
More new features are being added to the feed, including the important red alert for previously deleted pages. This will only work if it is selected in your filters. Best is to 'select all'. Do take a moment to check out all the new features if you have not already done so. If anything is not working as it should, please let us know at NPR. There is now also a live queue of AfC submissions in the New Pages Feed. Feel free to review AfCs, but bear in mind that NPP is an official process and policy and is more important.
- QUALITY of REVIEWING
Articles are still not always being checked thoroughly enough. If you are not sure what to do, leave the article for a more experienced reviewer. Please be on the alert for any incongruities in patrolling and help your colleagues where possible; report patrollers and autopatrolled article creators who are ostensibly undeclared paid editors. The displayed ORES alerts offer a greater 'at-a-glance' overview, but the new challenges in detecting unwanted new content and sub-standard reviewing do not necessarily make patrolling any easier, nevertheless the work may have a renewed interest factor of a different kind. A vibrant community of reviewers is always ready to help at NPR.
- Backlog
The backlog is still far too high at between 7,000 and 8,000. Of around 700 user rights holders, 80% of the reviewing is being done by just TWO users. In the light of more and more subtle advertising and undeclared paid editing, New Page Reviewing is becoming more critical than ever.
- Move to draft
NPR is triage, it is not a clean up clinic. This move feature is not limited to bios so you may have to slightly re-edit the text in the template before you save the move. Anything that is not fit for mainspace but which might have some promise can be draftified - particularly very poor English and machine and other low quality translations.
- Notifying users
Remember to use the message feature if you are just tagging an article for maintenance rather than deletion. Otherwise articles are likely to remain perma-tagged. Many creators are SPA and have no intention of returning to Wikipedia. Use the feature too for leaving a friendly note note for the author of a first article you found well made or interesting. Many have told us they find such comments particularly welcoming and encouraging.
- PERM
Admins are now taking advantage of the new time-limited user rights feature. If you have recently been accorded NPR, do check your user rights to see if this affects you. Depending on your user account preferences, you may receive automated notifications of your rights changes. Requests for permissions are not mini-RfAs. Helpful comments are welcome if absolutely necessary, but the bot does a lot of the work and the final decision is reserved for admins who do thorough research anyway.
- Other news
School and academic holidays will begin soon in various places around the Western world. Be on the lookout for the usual increase in hoax, attack, and other junk pages.
Our next newsletter might be announcing details of a possible election for co-ordinators of NPR. If you think you have what it takes to micro manage NPR, take a look at New Page Review Coordinators - it's a job that requires a lot of time and dedication.

Kristen McGuire Voice Actor Wikipedia Page
Hello there!
In 2017 I tried to make a wikipedia page for Kristen McGuire, a voice actor, script writer and director associated with Funimation. It was deleted because it was deemed that she was not notable enough, but that her work as a script writer and directing was promising. I also received notes about her notability pertaining to how little conventions she had been to and her lack of roles. I have been following her and many other English voice actors for several years on Twitter, and she seems to be doing more work these days. She recently played the lead role of Senko in The Helpful Fox Senko-san and I believe she works as a full time script writer for funimation. She listed her convention schedule recently and it looks like she's traveling all over the US, including Anime NYC, My Hero Con in Florida, and several others. I was wondering if her recent accomplishments would qualify her to have a wikipedia page as she seems to be steadily getting cast in new shows and video games. You can see a list of her work on her website. I think it's been updated pretty recently but it seems like she uses twitter the most. Thank you so much for your help! ^_^
MissyGraham (talk) 18:58, 1 July 2019 (UTC)

MissyGraham (talk) 19:46, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- MissyGraham, don't count the cast announcements and convention announcements. Watchmojo is an interview so it's primary source, so can't count that towards notability either. Any of these leftover that focus on McGuire? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:28, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
I am having a really hard time understanding what it takes to count someone as notable in the industry. There are several cast announcements, interviews, and things like that that talk about what she's done in the industry. The cast announcements are coming from various news outlets and shouldn't count as a primary source, and I see cast announcements used as sources all the time on existing wikipedia pages. If they can count for those, why don't they apply here? I've even seen Twitter announcements from the VA used as a source, which would count as a primary source, right? I saw it on Monica Rial's page. A few years ago, you stated McGuire didn't play any lead roles, so she wasn't notable. Now she has played lead roles and several main roles. You said she hasn't traveled to enough conventions outside of texas. Now she has. She's been to LA, NY, Ohio, Washington, North Carolina, and a bunch of other places. She's done all the things you said counted as notable a few years ago. The specific articles you're requiring for McGuire don't seem to exist for most of the voice actors who have Wikipedia pages. There are a lot of interviews and cast announcements, but hardly any third party articles. I see tons of english vas with wikipedia pages that haven't done the things you've listed. Mallorie Rodak doesn't have any articles about her and I don't think she's ever been to a convention, but she has a wikipedia page. I actually looked it up because I wanted to be sure. I looked up Bryn Apprill and she doesn't have any articles that I can find either. Ben Phillips is a voice actor with a wikipedia page and I've never seen him at any cons or any articles about him either. McGuire has been cast in over 170 anime titles, several games, and has either directed or written on 25 different titles, doesn't that count towards notability?
MissyGraham (talk) 22:17, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
MissyGraham, Bryn Apprill has some news articles from non-anime industry as https://artandseek.org/2016/08/03/the-big-screen-voice-acting/ and she has lead roles in Noragami and The Boy and the Beast film (covered by multiple non-anime-focused newspapers). Some of the others you can tag for notability if they don't have any notable lead roles in lead productions. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:38, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- MissyGraham, so what's her lead role? Is it on a show that is on a major cable channel or only online/direct-to-video? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:39, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- MissyGraham, you have to understand that it's tough to get a random voice actor notable by just cast announcements. Look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Erika Harlacher. That one's barely enough, even though I've painstakingly looked for every last news article about her. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:42, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
Her lead role is Senko in The Helpful Fox Senko-san, streaming on both Crunchyroll and Funimation. McGuire has also been in movies that have been in theaters, such as Harmony, even though it was as additional voices.
The article you linked to is just an interview with Bryn Appril, which would count as a primary source according to you. You said the Watch Mojo interview with McGuire doesn't count, but this link you gave me is someone talking with Bryn about her voice acting, so it seems a bit contradictory to me. Also it should be noted that Watch Mojo is a non-anime industry as well. I did find something similar to what you posted, which is an interview McGuire did on a program called "Diabetics Doing Things", which would also be non-anime. https://diabeticsdoingthings.com/podcast/episode-028-diabetics-doing-voice-acting-with-kristen-mcguire
MissyGraham (talk) 22:57, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- MissyGraham, streaming on Crunchyroll/Funimation isn't enough, that would be the equivalent of direct-to-video. If they distributed on Adult Swim, Amazon, Netflix, at the time of first run that would help more. Appril's one is mostly interview, agreed. It could use more sources. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:02, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
Kristen plays Tatami Nakagame in My Hero Academia, which plays on Toonami, does that not count?
MissyGraham (talk) 23:05, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
Also, wouldn't streaming on Netflix and Amazon be the equivalent of streaming on Funimation or Crunchyroll? Those are just streaming sites, as well.
MissyGraham (talk) 23:09, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- MissyGraham, I don't see Tatami listed in List of My Hero Academia characters so her role isn't among the mains there. Netflix and Amazon would be an extra distributor away from the usual distributors (Crunchyroll/Funimation). AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:11, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
Tatami and a few other characters are from Ketsubutsu Academy. It's weird that they wouldn't have their school listed in that article because they have Shiketsu listed, and those schools are all in the same episodes because they are both rival schools. It seems that article is incomplete. That arc is actually currently playing on Toonami right now. Regardless, McGuire has provided voice overs for movies, shows airing on Toonami, video games such as Smite, and works in the actual production side of anime. I would think all those things combined would be enough to mark her as notable. Most of the voice actors who have wikipedia pages haven't met the markers you've set forth, especially concerning third party articles or being in shows that air somewhere besides online streaming companies. (Again, Mallorie Rodak and Ben Phillips are great examples of this.)

Hi AngusWOOF, you recently reviewed and rejected my Draft:DSECT from being published. Your reason for rejection was: ″This should be summarized or explained in the context of the How to Design Programs textbook. It doesn't need a separate article. This would be like giving each of the 7 Habits its own article. "Note though that in 7 Habits, some of the concepts are independent enough to have their own article, as they are not strictly tied to the author, but this case is strictly connected to the textbook."
I think I was unclear in the article: the DSECT acronym is my own, but I got the idea from reading about software design in How to Design Programs. Since this is a new idea (that is currently gaining a lot of traction for computational neuroscience software developers), could you give me feedback on what I need to do to ensure this article can be accepted as a standalone article? Cheers!

We currently have two papers in review in which DSECT is mentioned. Once published, I could add them to the refs for the page.
- Jaibhagat1, that is a start--but "in review" means "not published yet". Also, "we" suggests not just a group of editors but also a conflict of interest. Drmies (talk) 18:55, 8 July 2019 (UTC)

As for the bandcamp i guess that would fall under “notes” or “external links” and not references. I’m still trying to the gist of this. As for podcast they have been around for awhile but okay that makes sense. Also your comment has been one of the most helpful advice I’ve gotten so far. So many thanks User:AngusWOOF Humblemogwai (talk) 03:30, 9 July 2019 (UTC)

Draft: Killsquad
Hello there! You declined the article for unreliable sources/references. What we did to address your comments is: 1) Changed one unreliable (Techraptor) for a reliable one (PCGamer). PC Gamer is one of the largest video game sites in the world. 2) Removed the other (COG Connected) 3) As for the third reference, Epic Games, please see our note: Epic Games is not a news site / gaming site, it's the maker of the Unreal Engine, which is extremely popular and reliable, this is a Forbes-listed company, hence it's probably the best reference about our game.
We are the developers of the title, game comes out July 16th, so our intent in creating the page was so people can actually find the info on the title when they browse wikipedia. In fact, someone else (definitely not us) added the mention to this game to our own Wikipedia developer page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novarama).
So if you could approve the page, we'd "link" it from the dev page and add 1-2 images to it (box art, etc.) so we have the type of wikipedia presence that's common for games like this.
Thank you in advance! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:C50E:2F02:8900:4461:DE78:8B60:C69 (talk) 14:49, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
- 2A01:C50E:2F02:8900:4461:DE78:8B60:C69, if you can keep adding more external news sources and reviews from the WP:VG/RS websites, that should help. Gameplay details should be sourced somewhere as well, even if it's to your websites. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:35, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
We will definitely add sources and reviews as is customary, we just added one for example. But we're concerned reviews will come *after* release (next Tuesday) and we'd like the page to be approved by then precisely so that reviewers can add reviews & data as it emerges online. Is that possible? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.28.120.22 (talk) 17:03, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
- 80.28.120.22, I think there's enough preliminary reviews like PC Gamer and RPGFan so I went ahead and put it into mainspace. However, the COI tag will still be there until other editors have added more neutral reviews of the product. See WP:PROUD. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:09, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, I have added all the necessary sources and sent them for verification, but the article has been in the process of being verified for almost 90 days. What do I need to do to continue the process? Thank you. Vladislav at SSHE (talk) 16:31, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

- AngusWOOF, Yes, of course! Here are the publications that discuss the school: report.az 1news.az Dukascopy TV Vladislav at SSHE (talk) 18:21, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hello @AngusWOOF:. Is there anything else I can do? Thank you! Vladislav at SSHE (talk) 12:07, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
- Vladislav at SSHE, the report.az article is just a press release-like news announcement about the president meeting with other schools. It doesn't really give in-depth on the school. The 1news.az one is okay. The Dukascopy TV is a direct interview with the president of the school, so that fits more the primary source Q&A. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 02:01, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
- Hello @AngusWOOF: Thank you for your explanation and for the review! Here's another sources: bachelorsportal.com, edarabia.com, promove.ch, masterstudies.com Vladislav at SSHE (talk) 15:06, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

Draft:Circuits (Chris Potter album)
Hello AngusWOOF, I am writing as you recently declined my draft article at this link - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Circuits_(Chris_Potter_album) - pointing out that critical reviews were required. In response to this I would note that no review included in the Wikipedia article of any of Chris Potter's albums has given a score of less than 3 stars; in this instance I can find no reviews of 'Circuits' awarding a score of less than four stars. I would not, for example, expect the article for Miles Davis' album 'Kind of Blue' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kind_of_Blue) to be declined or accused of POV bias simply because all the reviews are extremely positive.
Furthermore, the difficulty I have encountered in getting my draft published has been somewhat unexpected given that every previous Chris Potter studio release has its own article here on Wikipedia and some of the articles (such as this one - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Will_Be_(album)) are notably less comprehensive than my draft.
Many thanks. --Marmaduke Merriweather (talk) 16:36, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
- Marmaduke Merriweather, if critics are giving the album 4 of 5 stars, why aren't they giving the 5th star? It could be one slight critique, just need to show that aspect. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:00, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, thank you for your response. I'm afraid that in this case, as with many 4 star reviews, the reviews in question are positive throughout (they might not award the 5th star simply because, although there may be nothing inherently wrong with the album, it is not especially outstanding). To once again reference the articles of previous Chris Potter releases, I would observe that here (and in other cases) - The Dreamer Is the Dream - when citing 4 star reviews, the author includes only positive comments.
- Many thanks.

Kiev should be a redirect to Kyiv, not the other way round as you have stated. Reasons are given on the draft Kyiv page. Votes by trolls should be ignored.

- Andrijpetrenko, you could discuss that at the Kiev talk page as to what spelling is primary topic for English Wikipedia, but looking at that talk page, there is already consensus to go with Kiev instead of Kyiv. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:11, 12 July 2019 (UTC)

X/9. Romanization of Ukrainian geographical names
The Conference, Recognizing that in 2010 Ukraine officially adopted a system of romanization for geographical names, which revised a system used since 1996, Recognizing also that, although not fully reversible, the system has nevertheless been well implemented in maps, gazetteers and databases of Ukraine, as well as on public signs and in spheres of life other than those concerning geographical names,
Recommends that the system, as set out in the document entitled “Romanization system in Ukraine”,7 be adopted as the international system for the romanization of Ukrainian geographical names.

Andrijpetrenko (talk) 08:58, 13 July 2019 (UTC) Have also done a google search for "London to Kiev". Interesting google flights and skyscanner listed Kyiv for that Kiev search. The map that came up for me showed Kyiv spelling also for that "London to Kiev" search. Others will catch on eventually to the U.S. Board on Geographic Names Kyiv which came into effect on June 17. The writer of the wiki Kiev article has made his case for not changing the spelling which is not consistent with the changes already occurring. Draft:ExOne Company
Hello sir, thank you for the details about the ExOne entry. I have added additional citations from Wall Street Journal and USA Today. I have also removed the historic product list, which was provided as timeline reference to back up facts regarding ExOne commercializing binder jetting technology for sand and metal 3D printing. Can you kindly reconsider the resubmitted entry? This is a historically relevant 3D printing company, and the sourcing, especially the cited engineering books, does back up that fact.Sarahannwebster (talk) 10:46, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- Sarahannwebster, I'm concerned though that there may be some COI especially for the EnvisionTEC article, where you should probably self-disclose your connection to the subject. As for ExOne, is it a competitor or partnering company? That might have to have a COI declared as well. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:27, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
I appreciate the question, but I don't really have a conflict here, other than wanting facts to be correct. :) I used to work for EnvisionTEC when I occasionally updated their content on Wikipedia. While I currently am not employed by ExOne, and also not being paid by them for this, I used to be the editor in chief for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahannwebster/) and noticed ExOne had no entry and other entities were acting like they invented some technology that ExOne commercialized a very long time ago. If there was some way to disclose my relationship with EnvisionTEC when editing incorrect fact, I wasn't aware of it. I am not being paid in any way for the ExOne content and am happy to disclose that. Kindly let me know if there's some official way to disclose as I don't recall seeing any prompts along those lines. Sarahannwebster (talk) 19:43, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
I also just noticed your question about ExOne and EnvisionTEC ... I don't work for either one of them so I don't know if they have any relationship but I doubt it. Sarahannwebster (talk) 19:49, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- Sarahannwebster, okay, thanks for disclosing. I put in the connected contributor tags on those articles' talk pages. There's an icon called
{{UserboxCOI}}
you can add to your user page, so you can do that for EnvisionTEC and SME (society). AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:02, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
Thank you. I'm still trying to get used to the Wikipedia world. Trying to do it all correctly here. Learning as a I go ... Sarahannwebster (talk) 20:18, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
I added the COI box to my user page and am not sure I did it correctly? If you have a moment and could let me know, I would very much appreciate it. Should I put dates for when I was associated with those entities, since I am no longer? Sarahannwebster (talk) 20:26, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- Sarahannwebster, thanks, I fixed it a bit, but that should be good enough. The years aren't needed. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:38, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
Hello there again. This article just got rejected by another reviewer for having *too many* citations. I had added more citations (from WSJ, USA Today, etc.) after you asked for more reliable, independent citations. I'm a little confused now. I've asked the other reviewer for additional guidance, but if you could help, I would appreciate it. Best, Sarahannwebster (talk) 20:42, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

I am learning to write english wikipedia page. My intention was never to advertise. As reviewer's give me the advice I make the changes accordingly. You may check the history of this page. Previous reviewer asked me for more references, so I added those by lot of hard work. Now, to remove the advertisement (as you see it if any) can you guide me with some example of sentence from the page with change in it. I will make those types of changes to whole page. I have no intent to advertise anyone. So, I can also remove the sentences which you feel are advertising (please tell them specifically). The subject of the page is notable because its marathi language wikipedia already exists and is also included in wikidata. Please inform and guide. Thanks for the review. MA$HRVA(Talk) Write Right!! 19:06, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
- MA$HRVA, it still reads like you're trying to say how great the person is with the words chosen, saying how he is "innovative", "pioneer record setter", "strong instinct developed in his mind to do something good", "completely devoted", "worked selflessly", "his eco-innovations are useful", "innovation galore", "he gave the solution of", " first Indian to make a hattrick of world records". This is all words that are showing how great he is, and the verbiage only shows that that he amasses a bunch of random world records such as coin stacking or shortest will, that have nothing to do with his primary field. This needs a fundamental rewrite from a perspective of someone who isn't a fan of the person. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:03, 15 July 2019 (UTC)

Johnathan Brownlee Draft
Thank you for your comments on the first drafts of my first-ever article. I have reworked the citations and inserted additional ones so that only those with a specific mention are included. I do have a question about the credits in the tables -- does each role need a reference/citation? I appreciate your direction. MBAWilbins (talk) 18:14, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
- MBAWilbins, I would just focus on WP:THREE sources that show that Brownlee is notable. You can add citations for the filmography tables later. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 02:20, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for the input, AngusWOOF. I have now included only citations for each film that use Brownlee's name as executive producer, producer and/or director, and have moved each citation to indicate more clearly that it is citing his role for the purpose of notability. Please let me know if there are other revisions, and I appreciate your time. MBAWilbins (talk) 12:46, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
Greetings, AngusWOOF. Since your last review, I have polished the draft to address your helpful comments (added external news sources, removed excessive links, used only sources that cite Brownlee's role in each film, added more articles about Brownlee himself and his career, focused on sources that show he is notable). An editor through Teahouse also made edits. (It was gratifying to find a reference to Brownlee by Hofstra University Department of Drama and Dance on their "Notable Alumni" list alongside fellow alumnus Francis Ford Coppola.) If you have the time, your comments on the latest version would be truly appreciated. MBAWilbins (talk) 21:07, 12 July 2019 (UTC)

Hello Mr. Sussman had a wikipedia displayed for years and someone deleted it, so I am trying to reinstate it. He recently published a new book "Boxing and the Mob," which is getting excellent reviews. I just added 3 WMP sources, 2 from people magazine, and some NY Times articles. Hi AngusWOOF, my article for a film distribution company was recently rejected by you I think based mainly on the sources I used. [19] I'm wondering if you could tell me which sources I used you consider "independent" and which you don't. I read through the Wikipedia articles on the subject but I'm still having trouble determining which ones I used are or are not. Or is the issue simply that there aren't enough sources? Or is the issue that you don't consider the subject notable enough for an article in general? Thanks very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LeoWinters95 (talk • contribs) 19:15, 18 July 2019 (UTC)

Draft:OAV Air Bearings
Hey AngusWoof, you've declined my article, OAV Air Bearings and listed the reason as an insufficient amount of news sources. The sources that are on the article include a paper magazine, 3 news articles, and a blog along with the company website. There are more sources that I can include, however adding more sources then what is already there would be detrimental to the flow of the article, meaning the article would sound choppy with facts that don't have a relevant connection to the history section of my article. I would love to hear more of your feedback as well as how I could potentially get this article on Wikipedia and accepted as a verified article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Breezekovy (talk • contribs) 18:41, 17 July 2019 (UTC)

Regarding Raymond J. Chambers
Dear Editor, I have reviewed your comments, which I know are well intended, but they have left me puzzled. The 30 references that I have given in the article refer to papers published in Financial Times top 50 journals, all of which are of the highest standard and considered as the basis for tenure decisions at major T1 universities in the United States (i.e. the acceptance rate for articles in these journals is around one percent). The books that I have cited are widely held (some appear in over 1,000 university libraries in the United States according to WorldCat.com). In addition, I have made references to Chambers' American Accounting Association's Accounting Hall of Fame Induction, which represents the highest honor any academic accounting can achieve. The selection is made by the AAA's 4,000 members and a panel of the most esteemed academics in our discipline, with has representatives from several Ivy league universities. The Wikipedia entry for the Accounting Hall of Fame reads:
"Selection to The Accounting Hall of Fame is intended to honor and recognize distinguished service and contributions to the progress of accounting in any of its various fields. Evidence of such service includes contributions to accounting research and literature, significant service to professional accounting organizations, wide recognition as an authority in some field of accounting, advancement of accounting education, and public service. A member must have reached a position of eminence from which the nature of his or her contributions may be established."
It should be noted that almost all Accounting Hall of Fame recipients have a Wikipedia entry already, and all of them have less citations and much less information than the current one under review. Consider, as an example, the following one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_J._Ball
Ray Ball's profile has three citations, two of which is the Accounting Hall of Fame.
It is therefore my understanding that Chambers meets the following criteria as you have outlined under WP:NACADEMIC:
"Criteria: The person is or has been an elected member of a highly selective and prestigious scholarly society or association (e.g., a National Academy of Sciences or the Royal Society) or a fellow of a major scholarly society which reserves fellow status as a highly selective honor (e.g., Fellow of the IEEE).[2]" — Preceding unsigned comment added by M.E.Persson (talk • contribs) 13:18, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
In addition, Chambers was inducted into the Order of Australia. The Wikipedia entry for this reads:
The Order of Australia is an order of chivalry established on 14 February 1975 by Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia, to recognise Australian citizens and other persons for achievement or meritorious service. Before the establishment of the order, Australian citizens received British honours. The Queen of Australia is Sovereign Head of the Order,[2] while the Governor-General is Principal Companion/Dame/Knight (as relevant at the time) and Chancellor of the Order. The Governor-General's Official Secretary, currently Paul Singer, is Secretary of the Order.
Would you please consider my request in earnest. My professional life has been dedicated to honor those that have contributed to the development of accounting thought, and I feel considerable distress that Raymond J. Chambers is being deprived of an entry unlike almost all of his peers. Please feel free to reach out below as well.

- M.E.Persson, thanks for your feedback on Chambers. I will ask the other editors to help scrub this for tone. Much of the wording portrays him in a glowing positive light about how he accomplished many things so I marked it for too many primary sources WP:PRIMARY (his own works) and possible bias as it was written by his peers / colleagues as conflict of interest WP:COI. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 13:29, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- M.E.Persson, please also note that biography sections should be cited and not copy-pasted from the existing biographies out there in case of copyright violation. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 13:33, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- M.E.Persson, I went ahead and accepted the article. I saw a ton of academic biographies from journals, showing he meets Academic for chair. Hopefully other editors can scrub it for tone and that it can be rewritten with a neutral point of view. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 14:04, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for this AngusWOOF. I really appreciate that you've taken the time to attend this so quickly. I can't imagine all the work involved with Wiki. I'm going to review the entry myself as soon as I can and scrub some of the language as suggested. I think some of it was added in response to the first editor, which seemed to imply that Chambers was not important enough. But your edit was much more helpful in directing me to the criteria for recognizing academics on Wikipedia. With very best wishes,

Good afternoon!
Thank you for your feedback on this initial draft. Before revising, I was hoping for a little further guidance, so I had some questions/comments pertaining to the feedback you provided. Thanks in advance for your time. The first is to your point that "Music Row" isn't a notable chart. While agreed, it's certainly not "Billboard", however, it is still a very highly coveted chart, actively worked in the country music genre by the same A list artists that sit atop the other larger charts, aforementioned. In other words, it's not just for any musician with a song. It requires some substantial notability to be considered and included in the top 200 of the US. Wondering if there is any room for reconsideration here.
The second comment I was looking for a little clarification on was the one about this section, "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Several of the 12 listed references are full articles, very few, if any, just "passing mentions". In fact, one in particular is the entire front page of the 3rd party newspaper, electronic and hard copy print. There are also several major TV affiliate news channel on-air interviews referenced as well, including WCNC and WMBF, both NBC affiliates in NC and SC, respectively. Also included are major awards, and exclusive event inclusion (CCMF) etc. Would these not sufficiently show 3rd party notability and validation? Thanks again for your assistance, as I'm a fairly new blogger and contributor to the Wiki community.2600:1700:C740:97B0:7961:5423:1E24:123D (talk) 19:56, 20 July 2019 (UTC)

Draft: Efficient Voter Rule
Dear AngusWOOF, In March you suggested adding more justification for the topic, pruning, and diminishing the mentions of Anderson. In May I inserted motivation for the importance of this rule, cut items, and removed mentions of Anderson (except in the references). I'm hoping this is just what you wanted. Please let me know if problems remain. Thanks kindly. DiScience (talk) 19:13, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- DiScience, I don't see the term being used outside of Anderson's research papers. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 13:59, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, It is also discussed in an environmental economics textbook (Environmental Economics and Natural Resource Management) and a video (see screen shot). You're right that it's currently hard to find. As a relatively new solution to big problems, the ability to find it on Wikipedia could be a good thing. It would be a useful link from the Externality page, which includes a list of other solutions to externalities. Thanks for any assistance you can provide! DiScience (talk) 14:47, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, Fair enough. I was trying to give those who come upon it in the economics textbook, video, or Anderson article the ability to find another angle on it, but I'll wait until there are more secondary sources. Thanks. DiScience (talk) 21:19, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
Draft:FoodMaven Question
Hi AngusWOOF. At Draft:FoodMaven you said you were removing an “extra” submit tag, but in fact that was the only submit tag on the page. Removing the tag took the draft out of the AfC queue for review. I wasn’t sure if you intended to take the draft out of the queue? (ie am I prohibited from re-submitting?). I didn’t want to re-instate the tag if there was some reason it can’t be re-submitted. PJ FOODMAVEN (talk) 16:20, 23 July 2019 (UTC)

Dynamite Clothing Draft
Hi AngusWOOF,
Thank you for your prompt review and comment on the draft page of Dynamite Clothing. I’ve looked through quite a few sources, and while Dynamite has a very similar sounding name to Groupe Dynamite, it has enough relevancy and significance to be considered for its own wikipedia entry. To take an example from the same industry, it’s similar to Gap Inc. owning brands like Banana Republic and Old Navy, which both have their independent entries on Wikipedia. In plenty of other domains and cases, subsidiaries often have their own pages, such as in the case of Bell Media and Virgin Mobile Canada being part of BCE Inc. Groupe Dynamite operates Garage and Dynamite, both well-known stores in Canada which have their distinct branding and target demographics. I have added more information about the brand and found sources backing up every bit of it. Hope this clarifies this entry submission. Have a great day, and I appreciate your editing work!

Thank you Angus
Thank you Angus, you've always been very fair. Wikipedia for me is a place where we all help contribute to grow which is why I decided to put this through the draft method rather than just straight to the article space, in regards to those references you mentioned I keep getting conflicting things because people ask me to add more and then others say remove them and then others will then say there's not enough so it goes round in circles, I thought myself this was excessive but because of this I covered them all hence why, so it really becomes a place of conflict. I know each reviewer has different things they go by which is noted in the Wikipedia notability but what I do need people to understand with this album and why it's very significant is not so much the chart aspect of this (although this has produced national chart hits) but how notable it is to the artist (as the Wikipedia page says some reviewers from an established artist will accept this, others not so much) however it's also part of the significant albums that were recorded at Prince's Paisley Park too (which is very helpful for people using Wikipedia for sources there) so there is all these sides in regards to why, I feel, this album is one of those exceptions with notability and that it's pivotal it has it's own article for the combination of things mentioned. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you and explain this to you because I do find that with this whole approval thing a lot of it is a clash of ego's and power trips (not yourself by any means as you've approved a couple of my articles before too once we've worked on them but I have come across this a lot which you can tell by the editors history too). However I wanted to explain this to you so you can kindly help and understand why this is an album, I feel is not only very notable but one that should be taken into consideration due to the combination of things. It never specifically made a massive chart impact due to complications with Polydor and it's distribution however it did create international chart hits and of course the Paisley Park thing I mentioned too, which doesn't help just being on an artists page (if that makes sense), it's just an album that is very significant in it's own right which hopefully you can understand a little better now as I know this helps when it comes to reviews.
If you could be so kind to have a little browse and work on the article (The Key) by removing any sources you feel are excessive that would be great, again, it's a complete clash here with various reviewers requesting more then others saying too many that it becomes quite frustrating. I've been working on this very hard since January to get it right with all the requested info and growth of the article I do feel it's something that it's almost there but it's just getting it right really as like I say, so many people have different reasons of their own it's very contradicting and I know there is some who just like to go round denying people's articles or making their work difficult cause they get some power trip from that or something (again, this is absolutely not yourself, this is just something I have seen on numerous occasions with certain reviewers) so I'm really glad when I see your name come across things as I know you're very genuine and fair though I did want to kindly ask you in regards to this with the clean up, put in another review and when you're ready hopefully you can kindly review this again and finally have the article moved to the article space.
Thank you so much Angus, you are a real credit and contributor to Wikipedia and I'm sincerely grateful for your time and help here with things so thank you!! Music Editor 2017 (talk) 20:28, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
Draft:Serial Killer (festival)
Hello, I have edited Draft:Serial Killer (festival), could you please re-review it? Thank you very much.
Concerning your rejection of my draft, Pound (restaurant)
So you said that my article seemed to be a failure because it seems like the product of a run-of-the-mill thing. You said that it was that. I’ve found a source of international origin, specifically this one.
What I mean
I also have proof that this is international. They did reviews of things in Bali, Shanghai, and even more. However, the email seems really Manila but I have reason to believe that whoever owns that website lives in someplace like Malaysia. Generally, this website does reviews for SEA.
Sincerely, A diehard editor (talk) 05:57, 21 July 2019 (UTC)

- Okiokidude, the main thing is to provide news sources to show he meets WP:MUSICBIO. You can list WP:THREE news articles that are independent of his production team that go over his career in detail but that are not interviews. The discography looks like a copy of his website with all the personal comments, so it really should be removed and only labeled albums and charted singles should be posted. Has he even charted anywhere? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:02, 26 July 2019 (UTC)

article about Abstract Division
I would need some more direct help and guidelines in order to know, which sources do not count as reliable. I read all the wiki instructions, but it is difficult for me to understand, what is allowed and what is not. Is there a way to talk in private or we have to discuss it all here? I am planning to update many other artists in the techno scene, as I think that those, who have been in the scene for long, deserve it, just like pop singers or other celebrities. Some already have a page, but I would like to extend it with a lot more information, but for that I need to have a better understanding in which information I can use from pages like Discogs or Resident Advisor, or whether I can refer to a Dutch online news magazine as a source in an English wiki article etc. Could you help me, please, to do it right?
- Yes, you can use Dutch news and music magazines. See WP:RSP. If they have charted in Netherlands, see WP:CHART for which charts would be applicable. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:04, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

RE: Draft:Pan Kim
Dear Editor AngusWOOF,
I am writing regarding a recently rejected article Draft:Pan Kim. First of all, I would like to thank you for your time reviewing the draft.
As a quick reminder, your concern/comment on the article is as follows: "Please specify how Kim meets WP:NACADEMIC." I have reviewed the notability guidelines, and revised the draft to clarify how Kim meets the conditions noted on WP:NACADEMIC. Providing an overview below.
Criterion 2 International-level Academic Award: The awards listed under the "Selected Awards and Honors" section of the draft are considered major awards in the area of Public Administration. Per WP:NACADEMIC, publications of the awarding institution are considered a reliable source, so I revised the draft to include 1) the name of the awarding institution, and 2) reference to the publication of the awarding institution.
Criterion 3 Elected member of a highly selective and prestigious scholarly society: Kim is an elected lifetime international fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, a congressionally chartered non-partisan non-profit academy in Washington D.C. Per WP:NACADEMIC, publications of the electing institution are considered a reliable source, so I again revised the draft to include 1) the name of the electing institution, and 2) reference to the publication of the electing institution.
Criterion 4 Affecting academic institutions: As an example, I'd like to highlight his article (with Gregory Lewis) entitled “ Asian Americans in the Public Service: Success, Diversity, and Discrimination” published in the Public Administration Review (volume 54, number 3) in 1994. Such is the first article dealing with Asian American employment and representation in the American federal government. This article is now frequently used for discussing diversity and representation matters in the American public personnel management classes. This article is recently included in a book edited by Walter Doyce Broadnax, who was a Distinguished Professor of Public Administration at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University and the president of Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, entitled Diversity and Affirmative Action in Public Service (Taylor and Francis, 2018).
Criterion 5 Appointment as a "Distinguished Professor": Kim was a Distinguished Professor at Yonsei University. Per WP:NACADEMIC guidelines, I've updated the draft to include 1) the name of the appointing institution, and 2) reference to the publication of the appointing institution.
Criterion 7 Impact outside academia in their academic capacity: Kim has served as the Minister of Personnel Management in the Republic of Korea (and Secretary to the President for Personnel Policy prior to that). Also, although not noted in the article draft, as another example of his activities outside academia, Kim recently held a session at Indonesia's 2019 Presidential Lecture. Also as noted in the draft, Kim has led a number of professional associations, and was a member of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration for two terms.
Criterion 8 Chief Editorship: Kim served as the editor-in-chief of well-regarded academic journals in the Public Administration subject area. I've updated the draft to make sure the article includes a reliable reference (i.e. publications of the journal / publishers).
In addition to the points above, I noted that tone & bias may potentially be of concern, so I've cleaned-up what I could find. As noted in WP:NACADEMIC guidelines, professors who meet any of the conditions are considered notable, so I would greatly appreciate if you could please kindly re-review the draft in discussion. Thank you for your time and attention!
Very respectfully, Justinkym (talk) 04:18, 26 July 2019 (UTC)
