A tag has been placed on Eugenius (band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —Ryūlóng (竜龍) 09:18, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Yoko (japanese word)

[edit]

I've nominated Yoko (japanese word), an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Yoko (japanese word) satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yoko (japanese word) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Yoko (japanese word) during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. —Celithemis 09:44, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate that you are trying to improve Wikipedia, but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a dictionary. Pages for definitions of words are appropriate on Wiktionary but not here. If you like you can express your concerns at the deletion debate -- they'll be seen by more people there -- but I'm afraid there is little chance of a dictionary definition article like this being kept on Wikipedia. —Celithemis

Speedy deletion of "Ipod photp"

[edit]

A page you created, Ipod photp, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it redirects from an implausible misspelling.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
