I appreciate that you are trying to improve Wikipedia, but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a dictionary. Pages for definitions of words are appropriate on Wiktionary but not here. If you like you can express your concerns at the deletion debate -- they'll be seen by more people there -- but I'm afraid there is little chance of a dictionary definition article like this being kept on Wikipedia. —Celithemis
