You caught me using the wrong type of apostrophe in the very first sentence of my new article Mariana Grajales Women's Platoon! I had fixed the error in the title of the article itself before publishing, but missed this one. Thank you for your sharp eye! Paradoxsociety 17:27, 14 May 2020 (UTC) |

Speedy deletion declined: Cloudkicker
Hello Amkgp. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Cloudkicker, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: I can't find the original version, but since that delete 7 years ago, there's a couple of newer sources that look like they're reliable enough on first glance. I think this will need to go back to AfD for a fresh pair of eyes based on this version of the article. . Thank you. GedUK 08:31, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- I did manage to find the old version, it had been moved to draft space. Since that original article, he's signed with a label which again changes the possible notability of the article. GedUK 08:35, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- Ged UK Thank you for the analysis and feedback. ~Amkgp ✉ 09:49, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Tom Aditya
Hello Amkgp. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Tom Aditya, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There's a lot of similarity to the article deleted in 2017, but there are a substantial chunk of new references, and he's a Mayor now which he wasn't before (mayoralty isn't enough on it's own for GNG, but there's sources about it now). I think this needs to go back to AfD again. Thank you. GedUK 09:00, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- Ged UK will try at AfD for a clearer consensus. Thank you. ~Amkgp ✉ 09:51, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Haneet Narang
Hello Amkgp. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Haneet Narang, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Probably not the greatest sources in teh world, but enough for A7. Needs to go to AfD. Thank you. GedUK 13:36, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

I'm sorry for disruptive editing but I've explained the reason to not to delete the page. If you are agreed, remove the tag. Thanks for helping and improving.

Dear Kanewiki01, as per Wikipedia norms, a deleting administrator will judge your case and take actions. I am not supposed to remove the tags. Please read the 'speedy delete notice' for clarifications. Thank you. ~Amkgp ✉ 05:40, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Dear Amkgp, thanks for your work on it, but you just had to give me more time *smile*... i put the article online in the café, where i'm at the morning... then i went to do daily shopping of food, now I'm home again and of course i have thought of the backlinks :-). I just didn't have time to add them in the minute the article went online and i didn't want to add them, before the article was online, because then they would be in red... :-), so please be a bit patient, i'm adding the backlinks now :-) - Kind regards, --Gyanda (talk) 11:42, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Gyanda, Take it just as a remainder, was only helping new articles. You can remove the tag when done. ~Amkgp ✉ 11:46, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Rough go
Hi Amkgp. You've had a rough time of it lately. I write in the hopes of you taking a little heart. Editors have been blocked for edit warring and later become administrators so a single incident is not the end of anything. I saw you've chosen not to continue with CVUA at this time - that makes sense after given the discussion at WP:PERM/ROLLBACK (a decision I sadly support). If you ever decide to try again it might make sense to try with a different trainer (while disclosing your interactions with Cassiopeia). Wikipedia is a big place with lots to do - I hope you can find a good sport that utilizes your talents and lets you regain your footing after several stumbles. If you have questions that I might be able to answer feel free to ping me or leave a message on my talk page. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 02:57, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Barkeep49, I have also dropped from NPPS course because my trainer Utopes has been inactive more than nearly 2+ weeks. All my hard work seems to go in vain. I am continuing as in AfC and RfA/R (declining or accepting drafts/redirects based entirely on merits, also suggesting where its wrong through comments, tagging totally bogus and promotional pages with CSD G11, which is I feel its correct because they are accepted by deleting admins) because the granting admin knew my issues and converted from regular to probationary permission, with a note to asses my performance after two months. So I am working on it. I also tend to apply CSD R2 to new articles (after some time to improve/add stuff) rather than CSD A7/A10/A11 when I find they can be improved or it needs references. I also tag CSD G4 and articles created by blocked users. Besides this I regularly take part in Move request discussion and has been invited few times to place my views. If you want I can share all the logs and check yourself. I also help new pages to remove errors using AWB. I feel I am being hard bitten. Thank you for the concern. ~Amkgp ✉ 03:16, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Amkgp, I believe you are upset with my comment link Amkgp rollback right request/deny here (and the above comments) about the rollback. The comments are for you to take to heart to understand advice of many editors/admins which you should take on and why the reason admin rejected your application. CVUA program is a place to learn and you can always chose any trainer if you wish (ping trainers here @Girth Summit and Puddleglum2.0:.
- I will comment on NPP course as I am one of the trainer and also I am the editor who initial set up the program. CSD, AfD, R2 are all part of the NPP program which at this stage of your training with Utopes, you have yet to embark on the assignments. NPP is a lot more harder than CUVA by the way. Without the help of NPPS and CUVA trainers it would be harder for you to learn. We all here is to help you, but it would be good if you take on the advice and editing slowly and correct. It is normal to have good editing for 6 months for reapply for any rights and I suggest you not to take it too hard. Both NPPS / Utope or I have not deny your program in NPPS or CUVA, for such I encourage you to continue which it will help you a lot. Do remember, you are always welcome to drop by my talk page if you need help. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 03:28, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Amkgp, I figured you might be feeling bitten (even if technically WP:BITE only applies to new editors). Participating in move discussions could be a good place to contribute. Finding a good article or two to work on can also be a good way to improve the encyclopedia in a low conflict way. WP:AFD discussions (and other XfD discussions) frequently need more participants so that could be another area to think about. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 03:32, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Barkeep49, CASSIOPEIA, If I chose any other trainer I am confident that the same is going to happen as all are interconnected. I have no plans to apply to any new rights. Experience and maturity doesn't seems to count for me here. Only blind echos counts ! I will go through the self study as all courses are accessible and ask for help and clarifications from admins and senior editors who are willing to help in distress rather than creating a mess. Many editors without any training are being granted rights based on their elementary works and good faith only. Though I have no intention to apply anyone new. I have found many of the fellow students are being granted rights at the beginning and mid-way of course based on their respective trainer's suggestion and endorsements. I have been helping many young students on the way when they are unable to perform their assignments. And last thing it was totally in-appropriate to mention about AfC and others in a request page without knowing the background. I was a regular AfC before the NPPS event but it was turned into probationary based on my promising results until then and was instructed to continue for 2-months after which it will be assessed. You could have been clear in views and declined with the reasons that is correct as per Wikipedia policy. I would have happily accepted it. Thank you for all your help. ~Amkgp ✉ 03:49, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Barkeep49 Regarding WP:BITE, I am treated like a new-comer only in-spite of being a veteran editor as per Wikipedia norms(8,000+ edits and more than 2 years on Wikipedia). Regarding conflicts, it was quite a kind of personal which was ultimately stopped when a senior editor interuppted. see all the explainations here. Thank you. ~Amkgp ✉ 03:54, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Amkgp, To granted for certain rights and participate in CVUA/NPPS are two different things. Rights are granted by admin as they see fit, and participants meet the CUVA/NPPS programs requirements can also enrolled. Rights given can be taken away, if the editors do not understand the guidelines and consistantly applies wrongly. Rights can always be reapplied after 6 months and right will be given again if edits are deemed constructive or apply correctly. If you have been edit more than 8K as you stated above, you would familiar with certain guidelines. The issue here is that when you have certain rights (which meant you have read the guidelines certain pages associate with the rights prior applying), and applied them wrong in many occasions, which means you have not understand the application of the guidelines. CUVA and NPPS are the way to go so you have trainers to guide you and stop applying the guidelines (edit) until you understand the basic info. If an admin advice you on certain things, take it to heart (such as CSD tagging). To say all that, you can do all editing without most rights except you cant do review. I have students in NPPS without any NPP reviewer right and still can go through all the assignments in the course. What we saying here is that editors should know the guidelines and how to apply them and seek help when needed and not aiming to have user rights first. If you do every right and know how to apply those guidelines, then to gain the user rights would come naturally. We are not biting you here or punishing you, what the admins and I stated is that go and continue you edits but became to apply them correctly and slow down your edit, take up the program, do the exercises/assignment, ask questions and listen to the advice and not saying one thing and do the other. (such as if you could list the article needs to be tag CSD and done consistence done correctly, then you will be advised to tag them instead to list them). Take a few days to disgust the above if needed to be and hope to see you back to the programs. Stay safe and take care. Cassiopeia(talk) 04:38, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- CASSIOPEIA, Not under you anytime as per my experience. And also after this mess anyone will be hesitating to take up as student or grant any rights to me. Why to devote time here when everybody is trying to build a consensus that 'this guy is novice and should not be given any chance'. Every-time, I will be poked for every action here and made to believe as if human are not prone to make mistakes. Also please do reply if you have anything new to say as I find all the replies consist mostly that has been already said and are only echoed. I have found that trainers who are admins themselves try to help students enrolled under them here and try to resolve if possible as per this. Now will the person be not granted rights if he/she completes successfully NPPS course before 6 months as per rules and apply for rights? Will the person be dropped from course if unblocked and again rejoin after 3 months as I was explained by my trainer? Different rules for different people! Thank you.~Amkgp ✉ 04:48, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- I think enough have been discussed. It needs to be closed. I can see you have already un-enrolled me as per my request and updated the vacancy table in CVUA page. Good wishes for your current and upcoming efforts in Wikipedia and Barkeep49 thank you again for the consolidation and constructive feedback. ~Amkgp ✉ 04:51, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Confederate Motorcycles
My name is Ernest Lee. I own Confederate Motorcycles and was invited and asked to post pages on each model of motorcycle models on Wikipedia:WikiProject Motorcycling/New Articles. I was planning to first post the current models that Confederate Motorcycles is building and then to work my way back to models that Confederate Motorcycles has produced over the last 29 years. End of the day, I spent several hours providing information on six models of motorcycle that Confederate is currently producing. I first submitted links to the specifications on our official website. I was advised that the links needed to be to external third party sources as well. I then submitted links to two external sources in addition to the official website. I was advised that the information on the external sources (two notable motorcycle journalists) "regurgitated" the information on the Confederate Motorcycles official website. To the extent that they stated the exact engine size and other specifications they had copied such stats and information from Confederate Motorcycles press releases but the sources are in no way connected to the company. I thereafter peformed google searches for third party material and cited several sources for each sentence in the articles for each of the motorcycles currently manufactured by Confederate Motorcycles. I was then advised that the text in the article needed to be my own summary of the information in the articles and not direct quotes. I would like to submit these models of motorcycle to this project but humbly ask that you verify my sources and submit the information in my stead. Thank you for your time and consideration. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Marassi Al Bahrain, appears to have been inappropriate, and has been reverted. Please feel free to use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. G5 nomination not valid, as the editor was not blocked when the page was created, see WP:G5. David Biddulph (talk) 10:05, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
Hi, I tried to create a new page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Avyar You denied my request by saying that, "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources." I must reiterate that I have initially provided two highly respectable sources and the material could have been verified within minutes. One of the sources mentioned was the 7th volume of the Asiatic Researches which was one of many volumes published by The Asiatic Society which was founded by the Sir William Jones. Those names are very well known to everybody in the historical research field and I guess it is more than it was asked for when the "reliable sources" section was initially requested. Therefore you have wrongfully marked my page as not being eligible. I sincerely hope that you have made an honest mistake which you are about to fix. The Cat 2020 (talk) 05:16, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- The Cat 2020, Please read WP:RELIABLE, WP:REFB. Also, your draft is subject to copyright violations. Read WP:COPYVIO. The draft is not ready for main-space. Please go through the notices. Don't jump immediately to reply without going through the reasons for decline. If you don't improve them it is again to be declined by any other reviewer next time. Thank you. ~Amkgp ✉ 09:47, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
What copyright violations? This is yet another bogus excuse not to publish the legitimate page. There couldn't be any sort of copyright violation since: 1) I am not pretending that the material is mine; 2) All references are clearly mentioned along with page numbers; 3)Any copyright ended in 1908. You need to educate yourself before trying to make any decisions regarding the new pages created. The reasons you have provided are bogus and clearly poor excuses which I have easily proven to be false. The Cat 2020 (talk) 13:43, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
Wave of help requests
Hi Amkgp,
I'm currently receiving a wave of help requests from people I have never dealt with, about situations I never had been involved in. I may be paranoid, but I have a feeling someone has added a link to my talk page somewhere on a central list of people who can be asked for help.
Thus, I'll need to curiously ask, or I'll never know: When you messaged me about the copyright issue, what was the reason for messaging me specifically? I do enjoy to help, but the situation is very strange.
Thank you very much in advance for hopefully solving the riddle! Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 15:38, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
- ToBeFree, Few days back, while reporting vandalism at WP:AIV and WP:AN/3. You solved issues once each. Also, you took a stand to take action against Ray Manchester (Captain Man) for which before your action I had also found it to be recreated from a deletion discussed page via AfD and tagged it WP:G4 as evident from this. The author somehow escaped and you caught the mischief. Thereafter, I found you put a copyright notice and move it to AfD discussion, where I too participated.
- When I was patrolling new pages I could find that this guy ignoring all the copyright WP:G12 warnings and continuing add materials and pages against Wikipedia policy. Also his statements were very confusing so I thought I need help from an Admin. Then, I remember you and checked that you are active and sort help from you by reporting the incident. Thank you. ~Amkgp ✉ 17:33, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you very much, Amkgp, for the detailed explanation and seeking help. I feel honored and am happy to have helped. I'm not sure if all of the recent help requests can be explained in similar ways, but perhaps that's just it. Especially work at WP:AN/3 might actually have attracted attention by those seeking to resolve a conflict. Interesting case. Thanks again, and do feel free to ask again. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 17:39, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

My article was declined for having no ' reliable resources'. But since this is a private company page I do not understand what resources could be used for this, other than our companies website: https://eurorijngroup.com
Our company page is already available in Dutch: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro-Rijn_Group. I just want to create an English version. Please help me.
Thank you and best regards, Michiel

I declined because of the above reasons. You can ask for help at Teahouse where experienced editors might help your draft become encyclopedic if there is a scope to do so.
