Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, American1991! I am Marek69 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

- PS. Please be careful to include spaces when necessary. You are leaving out spaces between sentences (after periods) and between sentence clauses (after commas). Thank you very much!
I don't know if this was deliberate disruption or just an accident, but you urgently need to read WP:DUE. You are welcome to discuss Sikhism in Switzerland, at the Sikhism in Switzerland article but please try to maintain some minimal order in terms of formatting. --dab (𒁳) 14:58, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
re: your message
[edit]Hi American1991, I've left a reply to your message on my talk page -- Marek.69 talk 13:52, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
if you are going to add information about the number of Sikhs in the UK please ensure it is backed up with citations from reliable sources. The way you are doing it makes it look like your figures are supported by the last census or social attitudes survey. NtheP (talk) 17:05, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
I don't beleive these are reliable sources especially this one http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/34887-sikh-populationbut rather than get into an edit war with you I've raised it on the article talk page. I don't doubt your sincereity just your sources. NtheP (talk) 17:22, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- It is time to stop adding that poorly sourced information to the United Kingdom article. Drmies (talk) 17:37, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to United Kingdom. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Pondle (talk) 20:42, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
