[edit]Hello, Alfa privativo. We welcome your contributions, but it appears as if your primary purpose on Wikipedia is to add citations to sources you may be affiliated with.
Editing in this way is a violation of the policy against using Wikipedia for promotion and is a form of conflict of interest. The editing community considers excessive self-citing to be a form of spamming on Wikipedia (WP:REFSPAM); the edits will be reviewed and the citations removed where it was not appropriate to add them.
If you wish to continue contributing, please first consider citing other reliable secondary sources such as review articles that were written by other researchers in your field and that are already highly cited in the literature. If you wish to cite sources for which you may have a conflict of interest, please start a new section on the article's talk page and add {{Edit COI}} to ask a volunteer to review whether or not the citation should be added. MrOllie (talk) 03:24, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- I removed any personal citations -- all citations are now reliable secondary sources . Can you please tell me which citations are not reliable secondary sources ?
- thanks! Alfa privativo (talk) 03:34, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- No, they're not secondary, they're all written by the article subject, who is apparently you, based on the copyright tag on the image you uploaded. See WP:N - we do need some independent sources to demonstrate notability. Also, have a read of WP:COI. You really should not be writing articles about yourself or adding references to yourself to Wikipedia. MrOllie (talk) 03:36, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- i removed the image -- I am the same writer who wrote the article on Aradhna Krishna and I have the same relation to both the scholars (I am not Luca Cian or Aradhna Krishna, just one of their students) Alfa privativo (talk) 03:38, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- Then why did you say you took the photo of Cian, which is obviously a selfie? MrOllie (talk) 03:38, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- I asked permission to use that photo, which is the same photo he uses on his google profile Alfa privativo (talk) 03:40, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- What you want me to do? Delete the page and ask someone else to write it?
- Or how can be improved? thanks -- I appreciate your help and support Alfa privativo (talk) 03:41, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- I want you to read WP:COI carefully, follow best practices, and be honest. Right now what you're saying doesn't match what you said earlier when uploading the image. MrOllie (talk) 03:42, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- ok, thanks. I will delete the article and ask someone else to write it.
