Fair use rationale for File:Hearts of Iron 2 cover.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Hearts of Iron 2 cover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:17, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Washington State Route 903
The article Washington State Route 903 you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. About use of "PD-because" template
Found you on Template talk:PD-because. I'd like to add an image to the article Ronald Ridenhour (about the late American G.I. and investigative journalist Ron Ridenhour who blew the whistle on the My Lai Massacre). I've located an image of Ridenhour's South Vietnamese press card at http://www.ridenhour.org/images/ron_press.jpg , which evidently was issued by the government of the now-defunct Republic of Vietnam. Do you think that "PD-because" would cover the use of this image (because the Republic of Vietnam no longer exists)? Cheers. -- Cuppysfriend (talk) 00:31, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Reply to your note regarding Santa Clara County Expressway System (Talk), made change
Drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians have different views (literally, as shown by photos) and different experiences. There are no disagreements but maybe it was misinterpreted as such, so I deleted the preceding clauses ("one of us".). I wanted to include all these experiences. So, I kept a drivers experience (an unchanged comment previously made) and added my bicyclist and pedestrian experiences on expressways, and my knowledge as a pedestrian advocate regarding safety and crash statistics. Perhaps in the article you may wish to point out that the NM route log bears little resemblance to the AASHTO route log and even disagrees with NMDOT's own highway map. NMDOT seems to have a great deal of disdain for concurrencies and would rather create a proliferation of short "roads to nowhere" to avoid them rather than have sensible road numbers linking City A to City B.
As an example, US 180 is listed by NMDOT as ending at Deming. AASHTO has it continuing mostly along I-10 to El Paso and reentering NM southwest of Carlsbad along US 62. The eastern NM portion is not mentioned in the log, but it is shown on the NMDOT map. US 85 is not mentioned in the log at all since it is largely redundant with the Interstate system, but AASHTO still lists it across the length of the state connecting the TX and CO portions. In other words, neither of these roads has any discontinuous segments; NMDOT just chooses not to sign them where the highways have redundant numbering. I mentioned only two examples that come to mind right away. Fortguy (talk) 21:24, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Imperial Triple Crown
NM Road 120
I did read Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Assessment. It says for Start class: The article has a meaningful amount of good content, but it is still weak in many areas, and may lack a key element. If an article is missing one of the "big three" sections ("Route description," "History," or a junction/exit list), it goes here unless there is consensus (typically reached by way of a discussion on the article's talk page) that the missing section is not required for the given article New Mexico State Road 120 has (1) a meaningful amount of good content and (2) has "Route description," and "exit list" (all one exit), two of the big three. It does not have "History". It does not have material that is irrelevant or incomprehensible. It is merely short, not very short, and it does have photographs. What do you find lacking for "Start" status? --Bejnar (talk) 20:37, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- All of the intersections with numbered highways, but not unpaved Forest Service roads, are listed in the infobox, does this list need to be duplicated in the article? This road passes through a very rural, low population, part of New Mexico. --Bejnar (talk) 21:01, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- I found no mention of intersection list" at Wikipedia:Manual of Style, so I am unsure what you meant. --Bejnar (talk) 21:04, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Virginia Route 27
Do you have any suggestions regarding expansion of the future plans for VA 27? I added the passage as a last paragraph of the history section, but was told that it had to be merged with unrelated text because otherwise the paragraph was "too short." So we made it into a separate section to avoid being forced to merge it into unrelated text covering a much earlier time period. Now it appears that you have concerns about having a future plans section at all. Should we delete the information or what? The only project planned for VA 27 (which is a 2-mile long highway) is rebuilding a bridge once funding becomes available. Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 15:52, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your work on highway articles across the world in 2010, whether it was converting articles to {{Infobox road}} or working on converting articles to WP:RJL or building the WP:HWY assessment infrastructure. - Sorry, my edit summary didn't work right. All junction lists must comply with MOS:RJL, which dictates the columns and information that should be covered. The current list on 666 does not. Specifically, if a route is located in one district / city, it should not be included in the table its self, but in a hat note Entire route is located in XXXX Municipality or Entire route is located in X city, X municipality. Also no coordinates should be included, they have been depreciated, and a citation is needed for your kilometre posts. --Admrboltz (talk) 01:25, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Likewise, I can build a small footbridge and name it "The Admirals Bridge" or something and by your reasoning it would warrant an article. --Admrboltz (talk) 19:46, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- I didn't bother giving you my whole mind on this subject. I figured it wouldn't be appreciated. The guildline you refer to is a guildline, not a rule. For construction projects like these, they're notable just because they exist. But I'm sure you won't accept that. Deletionists never do. - Denimadept (talk) 19:51, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- I am not a deletionist, I am in fact a member of the Association of Wikipedians Who Dislike Making Broad Judgments About the Worthiness of a General Category of Article. I have no issue with an article on bridges, but when its one or two sentences, a few templates and an external link theres not much encyclopedic value to it. Now bridges like the Mackinac Bridge, or Golden Gate Bridge are perfectly notable, as they are backed up by secondary sources. --Admrboltz (talk) 19:54, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Here's a reference to a discussion on this topic: WP:Articles for deletion/Turner Falls Road Bridge. It might address your concerns. Notice the reference to the General Pierce Bridge afd as well, please. - Denimadept (talk) 00:28, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

Hello Admrboltz. 71.114.178.32 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) that you blocked on Jan 9th has returned to make the same kind of inaccurate edits (some of them to the same articles) for which they were blocked. It looks like a slightly longer block may be warrented. I came to you first since you will be familiar with the situation. If you would prefer that I report at AIV just leave a message here and I will be happy to do so. Thank you for your time in this matter. MarnetteD | Talk 20:02, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- I have taken care of it this time, but in the future, please post to WP:AIV. Thanks. --Admrboltz (talk) 06:32, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks again for your time and I will certainly do so. MarnetteD | Talk 16:03, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
Photo request
I'm not sure of the logic behind [3] since the USRD and CRWP templates already put the articles in those categories. If it's to give more exposure to the photo request, then I can understand it a bit more, but it still seems unnecessary to me in that case. – TMF 06:59, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, because the USRD template only allows me to input one state, and same with Canada, so I used the image request template to include Idaho as well. --Admrboltz (talk) 15:42, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Sup Admrboltz, In your Revert of my edit you said: "thats not where GA reviews belong...". Reverting edits which are made in good faith really is an easy way to undo an undersireable edit. Unfortunately, this does not improve upon the article in anyway. My purpose in adding the Banners is to reduce Clutter on these Talk Pages caused by multiple projects being added. I recommend that you follow your own advice and Place the GA review where it belongs... rather than reverting my edits. I try and leave the pages a little better than I left them, for the benefit of the Project. I hope you can do the same. QuAzGaA 18:42, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
- I have cleaned it up, but in the future, just so you know, {{WPBS}} should only be used on 3+ banners. --Admrboltz (talk) 18:48, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks! QuAzGaA 18:52, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Lead Too Short
In Dec 2010, you left a tag lead too short on page List of county roads in Volusia County, Florida. Can you show me a few examples of better "leads" on other list pages that I could get ideas from? Thank you. Gamweb (talk) 00:09, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well, remember that a WP:LEAD should summarize the content below. In a case of a list like this, it should include some context regarding where the county is, maybe the shortest / longest highway, traffic counts if its available, etc. See List of state highways in Utah. The following is a list of should not be used in leads for lists also. The table its self should be cleaned up as well, something like the list I link. --Admrboltz (talk) 00:14, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
