I also refactor the posts a bit while archiving, sometimes using permalinks but never the conclusion template.
Happily, all that is done well within the relevant policy.

Niaz_bd became Niaz
[edit]This is a common message from Niaz
Fellow Wikipedians,
This is to notify you that recently I have changed my username (through userpatation) to an appropriate one and from now you'll recognize me as Niaz instead of Niaz_bd.
Kind regards,
Niaz(Talk • Contribs) 09:16, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]PLEASE REMOVE THE NEW MESSAGE TEMPLATE FROM THE TOP OF YOUR PAGE.
IT IS VERY CONFUSING!

Remove New Message Template
[edit]Please will you remove the new message template, it's very confusing, and why link it so it redirects to the users talk page. SKYNET X7000 (talk) 21:17, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
In response to your message on my talk page, i actually tried to post the message first but then couldn't, all i was just doing was browsing through wikipedia, and then went onto your userpage from the Header Templates page because i was going to ask if it was permitted to have the same talk template like you have on top of your page from the Header Templates page but noticed the new message symbol and thought someone had posted me a message but didn't so i placed the previous post message i do apologies if you found the previous message a bit annoying it was not my attention to post the same message as above like The Helpful One did i didn't notice. SKYNET X7000 (talk) 11:26, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
Request.
[edit]Aditya, which page do you get the shutdown button similar to your userpage, respond on my talk page if possible. SKYNET X7000 (talk) 20:42, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

[edit]Just want to let you know that I've changed my user name from Tanvir che to Tanvir Ahmmed.Thank you.Tanvir Ahmmed (talk) 09:28, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Your signature
[edit]Hello, I noticed your signature is Aditya, even though your username is Aditya Kabir. As this is potentially confusing for other people (since my username is Aditya) could you please change your signature, or expand it to Aditya Kabir? Thanks. Aditya α ß 14:38, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- I assure you when I changed my username I had no idea anyone else would have "Aditya" as their signature. It's all right I suppose, as long as we stay out of each other's way. Aditya α ß 13:46, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
-_-
[edit]Why did you bother leaving me messages when I don't even log in anymore? BTW, I blanked my page without reading. Should of done this before. ★Dasani★ 01:43, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Jenny Van Tassel
[edit]I am a niece of Jenny Van Tassel---and a very old lady myself. Family does not believe she was ever married to Van Tassel, nor did she have a daughter. Old Van Tassel was a huckster. The picture you use of Jenny was furnished by the family about 1985. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.100.214.158 (talk) 01:07, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

The BIG disaster
Something wrong with my IP
[edit]My IP has been blocked. But, I am a long standing registered editor. I don't know what to do. Please, advice. BTW, I am in the middle of two or three projects, including a potential FAC. A quick solution would be very helpful. Aditya(talk • contribs) 09:10, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- You'll have to give us the whole message you are getting. I can't see a block on your account, but you may have been caught in a range block or something. Peridon (talk) 10:28, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- I've removed the unblock template, you need to use {{Unblock-auto}} and fill in the details otherwise nothing can be done--Jac16888 Talk 18:08, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
The block message says:
You are still able to view pages, but you are now not able to edit, move, or create them.
Editing from 115.127.20.82 has been blocked (disabled) by ProcseeBot for the following reason(s):
The IP address that you are currently using has been blocked because it is believed to be an open proxy. To prevent abuse, these proxies may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you believe you are not running an open proxy, the most likely cause is that another customer from your ISP who was previously assigned this IP address was running an open proxy. If this is the case, please request to be unblocked using the {{unblock}} template, or request administrator attention using {{admin!}} and indicate you are caught by an open proxy block. More rarely, your network equipment or that of your service provider may be misconfigured or compromised by malicious software (such as a virus). In some cases, this can be remedied by logging into the secure server. For more information, see the Wikiproject on Open Proxies and Wikipedia:Open proxies. (Sandbox test edit)
Even if blocked, you will usually still be able to edit your user talk page and E-mail other editors and administrators.
Does this help?
Here is the unblock-auto template:
- Aditya Kabir (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))

- Blocking administrator: ProcseeBot (talk • blocks)
Decline reason: I can confirm that this is an open proxy. (I have successfully logged onto it myself.) If you are trying to edit Wikipedia via an open proxy then you need to stop doing so and edit directly instead. If you are not trying to edit via a proxy then it is possible that your computer has been compromised and is being used as a Zombie server, in which case you should get your computer checked for viruses and trojans as soon as possible. In either case, the IP address must remain blocked as long as it is running an open proxy. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:17, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
