Portal Prague
[edit]- Hi Adam s,
I like the idea to create this portal. I just have a suggestion to put the news "higher" on the page. Maybe would be good to modify the "About Prague" section to be not so wide and put the news next to it. Because the news and events, are the most atractive things (why people will visit this portal) and would be good to see it without need of scrolling down the page. What do you think? Szalas
- Hey, Szalas,
Sure, it might be a good idea - I'll try it as soon as I have some time and if it looks good, I'll keep it that way.
By the way, since you were born in Prague (and are, I dare assume, a native Czech person) do you have any ideas how to get more people interested in the portal? I definitaly believe Prague deserves it's own portal, but if it's gonna be useful, people have to know about it.
- well, you (or we) could let some message on the Talk pages of the users that speak Czech (Category:User cs) because about 50% of them are from Prague (and sure there is someone who whould like to work on it or use it)
I am sure there is audience for this - there are _many_ foreigners living in the Prague who would love some nice source of information on Prague. I think wiki is a good way of providing that information, but maybe a dedicated page would be a better idea. What'd you think? Adam
- I think that this Portal is great - it just needs more time. A year ago - the main page Prague looked terrible and was without good information .....now it looks 100% better and it is full of usefull things. You made a perfect "base" for further expand of the portal. It will soon (max. some months) begin to "live";). Sz
