Rollback
Hi Abhinav, I am sorry, but at this time, I cannot grant your request for rollback at this time. While you do have significant reversions, as you have not been using Twinkle, I cannot discern whether you can adequately determine whether edits were made in good faith or bad faith, which is a pivotal component to reverting vandalism. As such, my request to you is that you use Twinkle for say 50 reversions, making sure that you warn editors who make edits that need to be reverted, and using the "good faith" and "vandalism" features of Twinkle. Once you have done that, you may ping me personally to re-review your contributions, and at that time, grant you rollback. Thank you. Go Phightins! 01:47, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
- - @Go Phightins!: Oh, tough luck. Well, I'd love to use Twinkle in a comprehensive manner. But there's one thing that's been bugging me since the beginning. How do some users tend to operate Twinkle so incredibly well? I mean, reverting edits, especially latest ones, with Twinkle takes a lot of time. Even in RTRC, which operates live, much of the stuff I pursue to correct gets already done by someone else within seconds.
- Take for example, User:Moony22, who requested rollback prior to me and was granted the right despite of having just 400 edits (I'm not complaining). But his contributions were almost entirely filled with Twinkle reverts and that too for the most latest cases of vandalism. He's not the only one I've seen to be using Twinkle so flawlessly, but I fail to follow the way these users reach out and revert the edits with Twinkle in mere minutes. I don't think I would ever be able to do that. :( Abhinav—Ŧ— 09:12, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
- -[Update] I went over to IRC and the guys over there told me to use 'Vada' by User:A930913. The tool seemed quite nice and I have since tried 1 legitimate edit with it. However, the reverts will state (Vada) in summary instead of Twinkle (TW). Is that acceptable? Abhinav—Ŧ— 09:37, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
- So really, there is no rule on what you need to use, however in order to grant you rollback, I need to see evidence that you can distinguish good faith edits from vandalism. Perhaps you could do that by manually adding an edit summary (e.g., "GF" for good faith, or "V" for vandalism) or by warning/leaving friendly messages to users whom you revert, or some other way. Whatever works for you, but that's what I need to see. Go Phightins! 11:02, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

- @Go Phightins!: Okay, so I have been using Vada instead of Twinkle, which also warns the editors according to the nature of revert. I had been wanting try a bit more than 50, just to practice the proper reverting judgements. I would be grateful if you could review my contributions anytime soon. Thank you for your time. - The ping didn't work for some reason, but I saw this in my watchlist. I will look into this later, but for now, am making this edit to remind myself in my watchlist. Go Phightins! 20:51, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
OK, I have granted your request for rollback, as I feel your editing history demonstrates decent judgment in vandalism reversion. Please do realize the right can be removed at any time, but I trust that will not be necessary . Just remember:
- Rollback gives you access to certain scripts, including Huggle and Igloo, some of which can be very powerful, so exercise caution
- Rollback is only for blatant vandalism
- Having Rollback rights does not give you any special status or authority
- Misuse of Rollback can lead to its removal by any administrator
- Please read Help:Reverting and Wikipedia:Rollback feature to get to know the workings of the feature
- You can test Rollback at Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback
- You may wish to display the {{User wikipedia/rollback}} userbox and/or the {{Rollback}} top icon on your user page
- If you have any questions, please do let me know. Thanks again, Go Phightins! 21:59, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
—Thanks a lot Go Phightins!. I assure you that the need for revoking the right in future wouldn't arise and I shall strive to make the best of it. Thanks again. Abhinav—Ŧ— 06:17, 4 June 2014 (UTC)

Article—Hot sauce
Hi,
I made the edit as the current link is dead and i replaced it with a link to a source about that exact reference. Is this not considered constructive? Your guidance is well received. Regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aj1978 (talk • contribs) 19:22, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, you are correct, the edit is legitimate. I'll just see to it. Abhinav—Ŧ— 19:40, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Review
Hey saw your name in the reviewers list for article for creation. I have a draft submitted for a review. Draft:2006 ICC Awards. It will be great help if you review it and decide whether it can approved or not. So, if you have free time please consider reviewing it.Abhinav0908 (talk) 08:55, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Abhinav0908, Congratulations! Your article was almost immediately reviewed and accepted by Sitush while I was away. You should thank him. Abhinav—Ŧ— 11:11, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
Changes to Paul Quinn
Abinhav, Please can you allow for this change on Paul Quinn (Footballer) page. The player is represented by my company and due to personal reasons Paul is very keen not to have these loose points on his page. If you could please allow my changes, he would be very appreciative. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Benjulius90 (talk • contribs) 18:43, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- @Benjulius90: I'm sorry, but I'm afraid this can't be done. For one, your request may even be true in the slightest way, but its lack of authenticity will prevent me, or any other editor, to contemplate it. And this, apparently, makes it as just another case of removal of content.
- However, your edits were also reverted by User:Widr. He has much more experience in this regard and I insist you ask this same question to him on his talk page. He might be able to help you out. Thanks. Abhinav—Ŧ— 19:06, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

June 2014 - McCann edits
Hi, the city change from Scranton to Dickson city is absolutely necessary because there is no longer a campus in Scranton and it is in Dickson City. Having Scranton listed is wrong. The additional changes make the listing more accurate, coming from McCann's legal team. Please revert back or explain why you think these changes are not productive? I assure you they are necessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amy1808 (talk • contribs) 15:00, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

I noticed that you had removed my post about KGH, despite all being factually correct, I then retread the rules and resubmitted a comment which has again been removed with an accusation of vandalism. Happy First Edit Day
Copyright checks when performing AfC reviews
Hello Abhinav. This message is part of a mass mailing to people who appear active in reviewing articles for creation submissions. First of all, thank you for taking part in this important work! I'm sorry this message is a form letter – it really was the only way I could think of to covey the issue economically. Of course, this also means that I have not looked to see whether the matter is applicable to you in particular.
The issue is in rather large numbers of copyright violations ("copyvios") making their way through AfC reviews without being detected (even when easy to check, and even when hallmarks of copyvios in the text that should have invited a check, were glaring). A second issue is the correct method of dealing with them when discovered.
If you don't do so already, I'd like to ask for your to help with this problem by taking on the practice of performing a copyvio check as the first step in any AfC review. The most basic method is to simply copy a unique but small portion of text from the draft body and run it through a search engine in quotation marks. Trying this from two different paragraphs is recommended. (If you have any question about whether the text was copied from the draft, rather than the other way around (a "backwards copyvio"), the Wayback Machine is very useful for sussing that out.)
If you do find a copyright violation, please do not decline the draft on that basis. Copyright violations need to be dealt with immediately as they may harm those whose content is being used and expose Wikipedia to potential legal liability. If the draft is substantially a copyvio, and there's no non-infringing version to revert to, please mark the page for speedy deletion right away using {{db-g12|url=URL of source}}. If there is an assertion of permission, please replace the draft article's content with {{subst:copyvio|url=URL of source}}.
Some of the more obvious indicia of a copyvio are use of the first person ("we/our/us..."), phrases like "this site", or apparent artifacts of content written for somewhere else ("top", "go to top", "next page", "click here", use of smartquotes, etc.); inappropriate tone of voice, such as an overly informal tone or a very slanted marketing voice with weasel words; including intellectual property symbols (™,®); and blocks of text being added all at once in a finished form with no misspellings or other errors.
I hope this message finds you well and thanks again you for your efforts in this area. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:20, 18 November 2014 (UTC).
Sent via--MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:20, 18 November 2014 (UTC) Hello Abhinav - why have you undone one of my edit?s — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kiwiperson (talk • contribs) 20:45, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
I believe you are mistaken.
Hey Abhinav,
I think you confused my contribution to that of the person immediately before. I acted to remove, not add, this passage which I found to be unhelpful, misspelled and particularly coloured.:
"showing that her real agenda is nothing to do with helping Palestinians rather it is to demonize Jews. Those who demomze Jews are typically called Anti-Semites but in reality, they are just racists and Greta Berlin has shown her racist colours with her unjustifiable attack on Jews blaiming Israel for Islamic fundamentalists murdering journalists and today Jews. Of course, being a coward and pig headed, she will not apologise for her baseless allegations rather she will sit and stew on clearly being wrong. Bigots do tend to find it hard to say "I was wrong" and Ms Berlin is clearly in the first amongst bigots camp."
Kind regards,

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:59, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
