This article does a good job of outlining the politics behind the wage gap and the various feminist approaches to theory in reaction to the wage gap. The article was neutrally worded and provided various theories clearly and concisely. The critiques I have added in parenthesis and italicized after sentences. Most of these critiques are in the form of questions that I think could bring further insight to the article. Overall, there seems to be a lack of information of how the wage gap operates to perpetuate the subjugation of women. A way to incorporate this more fully may be to go more in depth about specific theorists within the theories you present, and dismantle their arguments in relation to the wage gap. Ultimately, I think this article has a good structure and a lot of potential for more information to be added to expand its neutral presentation of information surrounding the gender wage gap. Sorry for the delay! Great work! This article demonstrates clear connections between your topic, different feminisms, and the ERA. Additionally, your synopsis of the ERA really highlighted what's at stake with it. Well done! In terms of neutrality, I think you've really nailed it on the head. Each section lists facts about the issue and perspectives on it from different feminism, allowing different viewpoints to be shared in a neutral way. In terms of structure, this article is perfect. Each subheading allows for a clear understanding of what will be communicated as well as creates room for clear connections to the course material. As for content, I think you are pretty good as is. If you are looking to add more, you could address the issue from the lens of other feminisms and/or connect each section to books we have read in the class. For example, how do exploiters of the court's lenient scrutiny utilize rhetorics of anger to support their claims? How does the gender wage gap fit into feminism in the digital age (i.e. popfeminsim)? How would a positivist feminist approach the gender wage gap versus a poststructuralist feminist? What does affect theory offer in solving this issue? Lacanian psychoanalytic feminism? How can we use Tomlinson's "feminist socioforensic discourse analysis" to address this issue? Etc.
